  • Part 2 on the 2-string bass. Finishing the ToM-B-Bass.
The body is been made and the "stick" is holded down simply by velcro.
By the time this video was going publicly online, the bass is sold and on it's way to the USA.
The solid piece of beech was a gift from Tom Burger at Corpus Woodworks en Corpus Pennen. / corpuswoodworks

Not Just Sawdust, Não Só Serradura, because it isn't just that. It's the evidence reflecting the relentless urge to create, the proverbial blood of that beautiful material nature provides us with. It's the sharp teeth that cut, the subdued mind that finds out what a piece of wood harbors in itself.

Gerrit, you've excelled yourself mate. Not only is that a terrific looking (and sounding) instrument, but that was a really enjoyable vid too. The body looks just fantastic; I'm so glad you've got it going somewhere where it will be properly appreciated and, above all, played! Great job all round mate, thanks.

Gerrit, this is brilliant my friend. I love the detail and the sound is spot on. I finished a telecaster copy recently using a laminate table top and thought about a short string bass with the left over piece and this has given me hope that it will work for sure 😊 ॐ
