For Ben, I just felt so bad that something so deep and personal had to be filmed for TV before he had the chance to open up to his own sister. I suppose it’s what the men signed up for, but it just feels a little wrong to see someone get so vulnerable when you know the person may not actually end up with the bachelor/bachelorette. For example I also felt for Jason who shared things he doesn’t usually share, opening up so much just for Clare to choose Dale. Idk if it’s just me who feels weird about it? I guess if they didn’t really want to share they’d rather risk going home but in those situations there’s definitely a bit of coercion or else things would be hella awkward.
I've also felt like that for a while about a lot of the "opening up" conversations on this show. I understand that a person should be emotionally vulnerable with their partner, but this show basically forces people to be emotionally vulnerable with the entire world about things which may be incredibly personal to them.
I agree. Tayshia basically says That if the guys don’t open up to her they aren’t going to last long. Like she makes them tell her personal stories which makes sense if you’re dating but it definitely feels weird to me that they are all sharing Personal stories and not all of them will end up with her

I don't even think her and Bennett had that great of chemistry either way. Sometimes it's just best to listen to someone especially if you can't relate to what they are going through. I prefer that to her one upping his story tbh
To be fair, it was a very dark and personal reveal, so I don't think it was the time or place for her to counter with a story, especially if she's never dealt with something like that (I doubt she has). I like how she is a good listener and lets the men speak their feelings.
It can also be the edit by the producers. As we've seen from Bachelor Fantake's sleuthing, the producers spend a lot of time editing and doing fake outs to make us think that one thing is going to happen, when it's often quite the opposite. They often do not reveal too much about the leads once they're really into the season and are very surface level with showing clips of kisses or lots of drama. Tayshia could have had a long conversation like she did with Ivan and they could have just chopped all her comments out.
Did anyone else catch how excited Noah (again) grinned when jojo entered this episode? I like him but he actually might still just be the young and wild guy going after women's attention.
Yeah when she came in the room a second time on the previous episode. Noah jumped up and looked in the mirror to make sure he looked okay. He’s young and not ready.
I think Zac told the truth about cheating in the sixth grade because this is such a publicized show that if he DID cheat with a serious girlfriend, then that person would’ve come forward I imagine. Its happened in the past of exes warning about contestants.
I don’t think Bennett is questioning her intentions, I just think he lacks all self awareness (as many have pointed out) and made the comment for HIMSELF and his ego rather than Tayshia . Also, if the same logic is applied to Noah, by him saying that he’s concerned for her well being with Bennett he’s ALSO questioning her intentions. With that being said, I personally love Bennett as a CHARACTER on the show (terrible personality but amazing entertainment) and I’m so looking forward to the next few episodes.
Even though Bennet and Noah were basically saying the same thing, the way they worded it was different, and therefore the impression it gave to Tayshia was different. With Bennet, when he said "There's a 0% chance Tayshia will choose you," it's easy to for Tayshia to think "well I've chosen him at every rose ceremony so far, and I feel a real connection with him. It sounds like you're questioning the connection we have and my decisions so far. It sounds almost like your opinion of me is based on your perception of my relationship with Noah." Noah, on the other hand, said he was worried about Tayshia and how her life might end up if Bennet started treating her the way he treats others. His words were more about how Bennet treats people other than Tayshia, and were not implying anything about Tayshia making bad choices or anything. Noah's words felt more like "you wouldn't be able to know these things about Bennet just based on your interactions with him, which is why I would be worried if you did end up with him".
Notice in the preview that although they blur out people’s faces, there’s a frame where you can see a man with a scarf... We all know that who that is. Bennet will be at the Men Tell All.
I think she didn't give a group rose because she knew if she didn't give it to Riley then she would look bad but also knew that she didn't want to bring Riley to hometowns (she probably already had her pick by then)

@@eeeyooohoh I have a really strong long-term memory and remember a lot of my childhood in detail, so I think it's definitely possible that he could remember something like that. Especially a "relationship" (if you could even call it that), because that is something that was most likely somewhat important/one of his biggest concerns at the time, and on top of that if the situation blew up it would most likely stick in his memory. I think there's definitely a possibility that that's not the only time he's cheated, but I think remembering something like that even from decades ago is definitely possible
If he didn't cheat on his wife during those "dark times" when he was into drugs and hanging with dicey people, I'd be surprised. I think the 6th grade story was a quick-thinking cover.
I disagree, the producers more likely had him do that because he's been getting such a good edit all season and they wanted to throw people off the "good guy" track to make it seem like he might not be the person she picks in the end.

Riley really said he tells his clients not to do polygraph tests because they’re inaccurate...it needed to be said lmao. They really expect us to believe every question and reaction and result wasn’t producer made...u realllllyy gotta have a certain suspension of disbelief with this season minus the scenic travel dates
At first, I though it was an act he was putting on to make light of the fact that he went to Harvard and the stereotype of the person that goes there (like, he leaned into the stereotype, but I thought it was for laughs and we'd eventually get to see the real Bennett), but I legit think that's just how he is. The more that we see of him, the way he reacts to being called on it, I think he has no clue how he's coming off. He may have a higher EQ than Noah, but he's lacking in self-awareness it seems.
As someone who also has past suicide attempts, it is always a good feeling to see people who are doing well who have attempted in the past. It shows that the horrible mental state that you're in is not permanent and it's possible to heal.
What I don't understand is how Bennet was able to come back to the bubble after leaving. I think the producers told him to go back and get her instead of sending him home to NYC. If he went back he would've had to quarantine for 2 weeks before going back to CA and then would've had to quarantine there for 2 weeks.
Like every competition show, they can’t leave for like a few days to a week after they get kicked off, so he would just have been hanging out in his room with his producer for a couple days and they probably told him he could go talk to her cause he was still confused why he got sent home.
He for sure never left. He mentioned he was “sitting in his room” or something which leads me to believe he didn’t leave in that few day timeline. I assume there’s a buffer period for all the contestants and they have to go through some kind of exit procedure with COVID. I assume that even in non COVID times there’s a few day exit procedure
yupp. it feels kinda much at this point because most of them are gonna get their hearts broken. But many are so great i think they will be very attractive to many good women.
I feel like Tayshia does, but considering we already get a lot of that from her season as a contestant, and the fact that seeing that over and over again with each guy would feel super repetitive to the audience, they cut it out for TV
Omg I thought I was the only one. I just feel like he puts on a bit of a show when he’s with Tayshia. He tries to act super suave and smooth, which is not at all what he’s like when with the other guys, so comes off a little disingenuous and fake. It just gives me a weird feeling
As someone who's had a guy show up to my door after a breakup to do what Bennett did, this was terrifying to see. Also, imagine being sent home because you were undermining someone's choices and then undermining their choice to send you home by coming back. What even goes on in that mind?
I did tht one time after I met a guy I knew from highschool on Tinder. Luckily, I ddnt have the courage to get out of my car. So I sped off and asked myself, "WHY!!!!???" His dad was the deputy chief of policing in our local town and I'm pretty sure there was surveillance around his house!!!....I'm totally embarrassed until this day.....I really dunno why TF I did tht!!!
I have issues with Ben's date only in that Tayshia was claiming that she needed so much more from Ben in order to consider taking him to hometowns, but he opened up to him about his eating disorder on an earlier group date. I felt like he was pushed (probably by direction of production and by Tayshia at the hands of production) to open up about something his own sister didn't know about. It seems like they're preying on Ben's struggles for ratings. I'm really over this Bach show element. Can they just stop with the trauma p*rn pleas??
totally agree, you shouldn’t have to share your darkest secrets on national tv in order to make it far, its just trauma porn and cruel to the contestants
When Riley said a week, he was talking about the previous week when he gave her that Love Contract. At first I was like WTF, but then I remembered that conversation they had. I hate that Blake is still there but Demar went home! I wasn't really surprised about Spencer because he didn't really look interested in Tay Tay even when he got out of the limo...that hug he gave her was garbage. Ben and Tayshia's one on one was awesome. This episode made me love Ben even more than I already did!! Shining a light on all these real issues like going to therapy, suicide, drug addiction, racism, incarceration, broken homes, and abandonment are next level. This is the standard Bachelor/Bachelorette franchise. I just hope Tayshia is able to find a man that can be her rock and give her what she needs as a partner as well and not just be their therapist all the time. Great episode!!! I hope it's Ben and Tay Tay in the end!!! We were denied their pool scene!! BEN HIVE TEAM BEYSHIA

With that being said, I personally love Bennett as a CHARACTER on the show (terrible personality but amazing entertainment) and I’m so looking forward to the next few episodes.

Even though Bennet and Noah were basically saying the same thing, the way they worded it was different, and therefore the impression it gave to Tayshia was different. With Bennet, when he said "There's a 0% chance Tayshia will choose you," it's easy to for Tayshia to think "well I've chosen him at every rose ceremony so far, and I feel a real connection with him. It sounds like you're questioning the connection we have and my decisions so far. It sounds almost like your opinion of me is based on your perception of my relationship with Noah."
Noah, on the other hand, said he was worried about Tayshia and how her life might end up if Bennet started treating her the way he treats others. His words were more about how Bennet treats people other than Tayshia, and were not implying anything about Tayshia making bad choices or anything. Noah's words felt more like "you wouldn't be able to know these things about Bennet just based on your interactions with him, which is why I would be worried if you did end up with him".

@@eeeyooohoh I have a really strong long-term memory and remember a lot of my childhood in detail, so I think it's definitely possible that he could remember something like that. Especially a "relationship" (if you could even call it that), because that is something that was most likely somewhat important/one of his biggest concerns at the time, and on top of that if the situation blew up it would most likely stick in his memory. I think there's definitely a possibility that that's not the only time he's cheated, but I think remembering something like that even from decades ago is definitely possible
If he didn't cheat on his wife during those "dark times" when he was into drugs and hanging with dicey people, I'd be surprised. I think the 6th grade story was a quick-thinking cover.
I disagree, the producers more likely had him do that because he's been getting such a good edit all season and they wanted to throw people off the "good guy" track to make it seem like he might not be the person she picks in the end.

At first, I though it was an act he was putting on to make light of the fact that he went to Harvard and the stereotype of the person that goes there (like, he leaned into the stereotype, but I thought it was for laughs and we'd eventually get to see the real Bennett), but I legit think that's just how he is. The more that we see of him, the way he reacts to being called on it, I think he has no clue how he's coming off. He may have a higher EQ than Noah, but he's lacking in self-awareness it seems.
As someone who also has past suicide attempts, it is always a good feeling to see people who are doing well who have attempted in the past. It shows that the horrible mental state that you're in is not permanent and it's possible to heal.
What I don't understand is how Bennet was able to come back to the bubble after leaving. I think the producers told him to go back and get her instead of sending him home to NYC. If he went back he would've had to quarantine for 2 weeks before going back to CA and then would've had to quarantine there for 2 weeks.
he did mention something about how he was in his room thinking about everything from the other day which means he never actually left
Like every competition show, they can’t leave for like a few days to a week after they get kicked off, so he would just have been hanging out in his room with his producer for a couple days and they probably told him he could go talk to her cause he was still confused why he got sent home.
He for sure never left. He mentioned he was “sitting in his room” or something which leads me to believe he didn’t leave in that few day timeline. I assume there’s a buffer period for all the contestants and they have to go through some kind of exit procedure with COVID. I assume that even in non COVID times there’s a few day exit procedure
Does tayshia also share her deep, dark secrets? It always feels so one sided. It’s not like they even could look her up beforehand either

As someone who's had a guy show up to my door after a breakup to do what Bennett did, this was terrifying to see. Also, imagine being sent home because you were undermining someone's choices and then undermining their choice to send you home by coming back. What even goes on in that mind?

I have issues with Ben's date only in that Tayshia was claiming that she needed so much more from Ben in order to consider taking him to hometowns, but he opened up to him about his eating disorder on an earlier group date. I felt like he was pushed (probably by direction of production and by Tayshia at the hands of production) to open up about something his own sister didn't know about. It seems like they're preying on Ben's struggles for ratings. I'm really over this Bach show element. Can they just stop with the trauma p*rn pleas??

When Riley said a week, he was talking about the previous week when he gave her that Love Contract. At first I was like WTF, but then I remembered that conversation they had. I hate that Blake is still there but Demar went home! I wasn't really surprised about Spencer because he didn't really look interested in Tay Tay even when he got out of the limo...that hug he gave her was garbage.
Ben and Tayshia's one on one was awesome. This episode made me love Ben even more than I already did!! Shining a light on all these real issues like going to therapy, suicide, drug addiction, racism, incarceration, broken homes, and abandonment are next level. This is the standard Bachelor/Bachelorette franchise. I just hope Tayshia is able to find a man that can be her rock and give her what she needs as a partner as well and not just be their therapist all the time.

I think Zac is lying and he cheated on his ex-wife. If I remember correctly, he told Taysha the break up with his wife was not her fault. I think he may have conveniently left out parts of the story. Taysha probably assumed the break up was because of his drug use and he didn't elaborate. Zac came up with the 6th grade girl-friend story because he knew cheating would be a deal breaker for her.
