I hope everyone is comparing how Mike P acted this whole time compared to Luke P. He didn’t shame Katie or the other people for sexual things. Though I did think he was a bit dramatic on the one date the reason he was so worked up was because he was worried about how HE would be perceived not about Katie’s “purity”. This whole journey he’s been incredibly non judgmental, kind, and he realizes that his choice to stay away from sex until marriage is just that HIS choice. He isn’t shaming anyone for not having the same opinion and he understands that others hold different ones.

You can’t call him dramatic during that date. He was overwhelmed and silently dealt with his internal turmoil. He didn’t even express this outwardly in front of the other guys. How is that dramatic? Because he had feelings and emotions?
@@z7847 I too am someone who wants to wait until marriage to have sex, so I get the feeling of worrying people will think you’re weird. I just felt like he was getting a bit too worked up but you’re right he kept it to himself which was admirable. His reaction just made it seem like someone told him he had to have sex right then and there but it was just about discussing it. However, it was probably production making everything more intense than it really was.
Mike is terrific. I like him a lot. Luke P was just controlling and insecure

@@Lulu_Reads_Books Yes. It was obvious that the excuses Katie used for sending Andrew home were completely fake. You could see the lies in her eyes and her behavior. Moreover, she whispered quite a bit to him which was an obvious clue that something was going on she didn't want us to know. Further, why lead Justin on by giving him a rose. Those two have never had any in-depth conversations.
I fully thought Michael was going to forfeit his rose and leave, giving Katie the option to take both Justin AND Andrew to final 4. I was sooooo shocked!

I feel like he was saying he'd be open to trying again with her, just in a different time and place. iirc he literally said "I feel very hurt in this place" and that he didn't want to worry about being chosen. he probably would've carried that into their relationship if they continued within the Bachelorette franchise instead of going for a fresh start where it's only the two of them in the equation.

No, Katie made a huge mistake. Andrew could have been a healthy relationship for her but she is really blinded by the crazy trauma bonding connection with Greg (who may or may not even want to be there). With Blake I don'tknow if they will actually have something more real than physical chemistry. And Justin I just don't see the connection. Michael could be a healthy match for her too but I don't think they have the same level of chemistry. But maybe she let Andrew go early to spare him any more humiliation and pain. Anyways, the one that walks off this looking good is Andrew. Andrew for the next Bachelor please.

When they showed the black box over Blake's painting while he was starting, I honestly thought he painted it black to make a star scene or something. I was very wrong.

I’m an art educator and have a masters in art history. Andrew’s painting is actually brilliant. I would buy it . He needs to be doing art . It’s actually better than Justin’s art

Can you explain why
Degrees in English here. My mind immediately went to the symbolic representation of fish with imagery. Fish, especially oysters, represent the sexuality of women or even more literally, certain body areas. In the canvas, Andrew is eating sushi…and being that this group date has to do with depictions of intimacy, he did a darn good job providing a double meaning to his work, even triple. 1. First layer, Katie and him are foodies 2. Second layer, paint something surrounding the intimacy of their relationship 3. Deepest layer, intimate act.

Keep in mind...producers CONTROL ALL the footage that we see in the priews and during the show itself. They very carefully pick and choose what they show to drive whatever agenda they have until they arrive at the final couple of episodes so that in the end they can say "it's the most dramatic season ever".
Notice that they purposely didn't show her kissing Blake at all this episode. Seems sus to me; I'm sure he would have kissed her at that group date sit down.
If it doesn’t work out with Katie’s final pick, I totally see her and Andrew getting together afterward in real life.

I totally agree. It was so strange on the group date how she said she could see herself fitting into Michael’s life, then said the exact same thing to Andrew, even though their lives are total opposites - I don’t know if Katie actually knows what she wants, and let’s not drag his kid into that.

She is convincing herself she can be an instant mom. I don't think Michael has dated much since being widowed. It's likely they will both realize they are great friends but not on a course for marriage after the hometown date.
or moving to Ohio. I'm sure Ohio is a nice place to raise a family, but after living in such an interesting city as Seattle, it would have to be really boring for her.
And did anyone catch Michael's comment last night that he also "takes care" of his in-laws. Not his parents, but his late wife's parents. Now THAT would be very difficult for a young woman to walk into that situation.

I definitely thought her connection with Andrew was deeper than her connection with Justin. That was a hard breakup for her and I’m thinking she wished she would have picked him over Justin. I’m guessing Justin will be gone after hometowns but you never know....

okay, Mike P. seems like such a sweet darling but also..... all those comments about his mom started making me think of Bachelor Matt rubbing his mother's leg... 😂 obviously not as weird but it was.... kind of a lot.... still a sweetheart nonetheless!! Also I have to say I really appreciate all the t-shirts Katie wears. She's so cute in her little t shirts and jeans, so comfy and casual! She's just a very realistic and relatable lead to watch and I enjoy it a lot. Alsoalso that Drag Race "art" edit was perfection

I think we might be missing a little context with the mom comments, just because they kept cutting to those (or maybe he was asked leading questions). However, even if that’s not the case, nowhere near as uncomfortable as the leg rubbing.

Predictions:
1. Michael will self-eliminate during home towns bc Katie isn't ready for full step-mom mode and neither is he
2. Greg self-eliminates during fantasy suits after huge fight w/ Katie bc he's jealous of her and Blake's physical chemistry
3. Katie threatens to leave the show after fight with Greg but stays
4. Leaving Justin and Blake, she clearly has a better connection with Blake so...
5. She picks Blake before a final rose ceremony, there isn't an engagement and they're still together as boyfriend/gf

Still recovering from last night...I could not BELIEVE Katie sent Andrew home. Like my stomach dropped...after all the great moments, conversations and chemistry/fun they had, she didn't see him fit for hometowns???? JUSTIN had a stronger connection with her than him?? BULL CRAP. I still can't believe it
I think when she told him she didn't want to look into his family's eyes and say the things she would have had to say for production, when not thinking he was the final one, is the truth. I think he was higher for her. But she knew how invested he was. And taking Justin to hometowns would be much less heartbreaking for Justin, than it would be for Andrew, if she didn't choose him. I think this was the crux of her decision, she was doing it to protect his feelings. She probably thought she would be with Greg or Blake, not because Andrew isn't amazing but because her connections with the others feel more magnetic. I think she had depth with Andrew and passion, but walking away from the magnetism, infatuation, "love" feeling, is very difficult (for Greg) and there seems to be an easiness, feeling totally herself feeling + passion with Blake. I feel for her because I feel what her and Andrew have is really special too. And as much as I love Mike A and I think she sees it with him. I also don't see the same vibe as the other two. Soooo, I think Andrew totally was fit for hometowns. She was just sparing his feelings. I also bet when Michael and Greg self eliminate she wants Andrew back, she would have liked to have Andrew back. Unless Katie breaks up with Greg over a fight.... but still 🤷♀️

I would have picked Justin to go next, but the footage of him in the carriage with Katie yet to come might be fantasy week. I think Michael self eliminates before his hometown date, I really don’t think he is ready to show anyone new to his lovely son. As a result Justin gets to the final 3 but that’s it for Justin IMO. I am a fan of Justin but that would be nuts if Michael self eliminates then Greg self eliminates the next week (or vice versa between Greg and Michael) and Justin finishes in the top 2.

this was the second full episode of any Bachelor Franchise show I've ever seen and I just have to say: 1. why do y'all put yourselves through this it's HEART WRENCHING 😫 and 2. Yeah Greg’s a NO I think. He shows no personality unless his personality is just being sad and passive all the time. At this point Blake is the only choice. Michael is into being a dad and Katie doesn’t seem like that’s her first priority and a dad needs to make his first priority his child. I don’t see her with Justin.

@@mal5377 He wanted to be her number 1 pick. If she asked him to stay "a little longer" when there were still a bunch of guys, that's not really what he meant. I think he just wanted to leave the door open for her to reach out in case it didn't work out with any of the guys at the end.
I told you the look down and away stuff was so weird! Greg was doing the absolute most to avoid telling her how he actually feels. I know she's constantly asking because she wants to be validated just as much as he seems to want it without actually telling her that what he wants. Greg is an enigma. I just don't get it lol

How can you pick Justin over Andrew S? Justin legit only got screen time last week.
I’m so salty. He was the ONLY guy she had chemistry with and one of the only two that had a connection with her. And based on Greg’s reaction to getting another one on one, it is very clear he’s not as into her as she is into him.
Whereas she sent home two guys who were actively into her: Andrew S and Connor B.
I just…do not get it. She clearly doesn’t know what she wants and when Greg ultimately causes her to break down with his departure, (at least that’s what it looks like) I’m going to keep saying she made a huge mistake in letting Andrew S go home.
My thought is the producers gave Justin a purposefully lame edit so we wouldn’t expect it when she sent Andrew home. There’s a ton of clips and footage from Katie’s one on one with Justin we didn’t see. And probably more to their connection than we see.
Alternatively, someone else pointed out that maybe Katie sent Andrew home thinking it would be too hard to bring him to hometowns and not pick him. Whereas maybe it will be easier to say goodbye to Justin?? Idk these are just guesses.
But yeah ultimately I’m upset that Greg is still there because he just feels off.
Andrew was lucky, when I get broken up with I don't have Tayshia there looking that stunning and sending me home

A bachelor producer has to know about fantakes channel and eventually they finally may (keyword: May) have one step ahead of fantake. When Justin was picked I was shocked but then I realized the footage of Katie and Andrew still exists. I felt after Andrew was eliminated it would be top 4 but then Mike quits to be with with son and Andrew comes back but that wasn’t the case.
I wouldn’t be surprised if they have proposal footage but don’t want to release on previews it because fantake will identify it ASAP!!! Fantake, you are the reason why producers have been more careful to and selective in which scenes to release for previews. As a TH-camr you made the producers step up their game. Kudos and credit all goes out to you.

Agree. Reality Steve gets spoilers, which takes no skill at all - people just tell him things after all these years (and sometimes he's still wrong). But Fantake picks it all apart frame by frame and that takes mad skills. It's definitely made me view the show in a whole different way. The editing and narratives become so obvious when you know what to look for.

Katie said early on that Greg reminded her of her ex. I think her feelings toward him is wrapped up in her feelings for her ex because he gives her nothing. Maybe he is naturally reticent but I just don't see their chemistry and she always has to drag things out of him.
