@@DailyMotorSound Thanks for the fast reply! Understand you guys are "limited" at these events with what you get to check out. Obviously they are going to provide the best. Seems they really skimped in the sound offerings for the lower trim. Hard to look at a 45,500k car with a really basic sound system. Keep up the great work.
Please do 2023 or 2024 Sonata Limited Bose review, interested to see if any improvements and now with your further enhanced experience, what score it gets from your 5.5 in 2020 rating.
If you get a chance I’d love to hear your opinion on if the October 2023 software update made any improvements. There’s some anecdotal takes in the community that vacillate between it being a volume only change or something more transformative.
Unfortunately this was a press review unit, so I only had it for a week. I did have a 2024 review unit with the Bose recently, and it seemed decently strong but nothing fantastic. Hard to compare side by side.
I misspoke/pointed on the speaker count. There is only one in each rear door. It looks like two speakers to match the front, but there's only a speaker in the lower area. Sorry for the confusion!
He miscounted the doors, there is only one mid speaker in each door + two tweeters in the a pillar, one center speaker in the front and a sub in the back = 8 speakers
I bought the Lounge version and yes the stereo sucks. Really bad work. My former Ioniq had a sound system from Infinity. Much much better. Really a bummer that they switched to Bose. Way too much bass, not accurate reproduction. Radio is really bad sound: a mess!!! Playing via my iPhone gives better results. I am going to report this to Hyundai. What a bummer.
Great video! If this system on the limited trim is so-so, the SE trim must be really bad. Did you get a chance to experience that?
Thanks! And no, they only had us in limited models unfortunately

I really love the sound of my Kona. Is it the same as this one or is this one better?
Is the Elantra n Bose system better? Or sound better?
someone knows how the normal speakers sound like?

So you can't change the subwoofer volume separately? I would be interested to know how the subwoofer affect the rear passengers sound experience

Can you safely add additional speaker's in say the 2022 IONIQ 5 SEL Trim, ?
I saw that you went into the EQ, but did you end up finding a sweet spot with the audio settings? Thanks 😊
If I remember correctly, I dropped midrange down one or two and picked bass up 1
Doesn’t it make it 10 speakers with the 2 speakers in each rear door?

It would be much better to upgrade speakers and sub from the basic trim.
The sound system is bad in this car to be honest :(
So your count should be a 10 speakers, 5 front, 4 back and 1 subwoofer

The real question for me is how does the sound system compare to my 2016 Subaru Outback 😅
Edit the title dude. It has 10 speaker system
It’s an 8 speaker, he misspoke with the rear doors. No tweeters, only a single woofer in each door.
