Salam love the videos akhi. Recently started searching for a Finance apprenticeship, I prefer the finance route instead of accounting because of the jobs like data analyst. FInished College recently with a BTEC in business studies, though my ucas points only come to around 88 points I believe, so uni is out of the question anyway I assume. Tips on where to search at this time of year? Also, at 4:55 you mentioned you just pay 10k after a few years to get a degree. After "a few years" having done what? Jazak

Wa alaykum as Salam that is after completing a chartered accounting qualification. They have partnerships with universities in place, so you can get a degree after completing a few exams / dissertation once you becomes chartered.

@@FehzanMehdi So you get the chartered qual from the apprenticeship, then you spend 10k to complete a few exams to get the degree? If they are partnered with UNi's doesnt that mean they cover your degree costs though ?

Yes you can find more information on the ICAEW website. No the partnership recognises the content you've studied as being aligned with the content covered in the degree. They don't pay anything towards the cost of getting a degree.

Great video Fehzan, keep it up!! I'm 34 and moved into the UK a few years ago. I've recently completed AAT level 3 and enrolled for ACCA (studying BT at the moment). I'm working in the movie industry as an assistant accountant in London, and self funding my studies. My goal is to be able to work entirely remote, do you have any tips on how to achieve it? Thanks!!

Try to find work in international teams - if a team is based across different countries then it’s easier to argue why your role should be remote

Asalamu alaykum akhi im currently in year 12 and degree aprenticeships for 2025 havent opened yet but i wanted to ask if gcses matter too much when applying to these apprenticeships as i currently have 3 As predicted for year 13 in maths bio and finance however at gcses i got 6s in maths and science but a 9 in english. will this heavily affect my chances of getting a degree aprenticeship?

They do matter in terms of you need to have pass grades or 5 - the fact that you have a 9 and 6s means you should be fine - shouldn’t see an impact

I’d say focus more on skills - try and understand the culture here, how people interact, take part in societies / clubs - that will help better prepare you for the interview process for grad positions - If you want to study I’d focus on skills again excel, power bi, cfab if you want to do accounting related short qualifications
