Assalamu Alaikum. First of all I wanna say your videos are very helpfuly and informative and InshAllah you continue to make more. I am currently in year 12 but after my A levels I want to do a degree apprenticeship in Manchester University. I was wondering if you could help me find an answer to the entry requirements to do so as I'm struggling to find any
Wa alaykum as Salam degree apprenticeships are normally recruited for via an employer or you apply via ucas. If you know which employer the Manchester Uni is in partnership with you can check the employer’s website.
Salam, I did my A levels 3 years ago. Currently Im doing ACCA and have completed 11 out of 13 papers. I want to start my apprenticeship in the UK. Can you please tell me at which level apprenticeship i should apply and the process for applying for an apprenticeship in the UK?
Hi I am from India, I need to study AAT. I don't know anything regarding this . When I checked in Google, I just saw exam structure . Whether I need to make apprenticeship for qualifying AAT Level 2. Can anybody help me?
Salam, I’m currently in my final year of A-levels and applying for accounting apprenticeships. Do you think that it would be worth also applying for AAT level 2 apprenticeships as well and if so, would that slow down my progression significantly (towards becoming a fully qualified accountant) compared to starting at level 3/4 Would appreciate any feedback from someone in the industry Jazakhallakhair
Wa alaykum as Salam by doing level 2 you will be delaying progression by a maximum of one year compared to starting level 3. If you’ve done a levels I recommend starting at level 3 but again no issue with starting at level 2.
Hi there, i was doing Acca in pakistan and now moved to UK and my last exam is left, can you please guide me on how to apply for apprenticeships? Thanks
Depends on if you meet the entry requirements do you have right to work? And do you meet the a level requirements? Also if you have a degree you may not be eligible for many schemes.
I'm still quite confused because do you need to do your a levels first to do a level 3 apprenticeship or can you do a level 3 apprenticeship straight after leaving GCSE/Year11
A level 3 is the equivalent of a levels. You don’t have to do a levels you could secure a level 3 after your gcses. But many apprenticeships after a levels start at level 3 too - the reason is employers want to ease you in as it’s unlikely you’ll have any accounting knowledge
Not all apprenticeships are degree apprenticeships they may offer the chartered qualification only. So best to review the careers website they normally have a partnership with a university and at most you may be able to select from a few universities
Asalamu aleykum. I completed the level 2, after I complete the level 3, what jobs could I get. And will I have maat behind my name. Final question what type of apprenticeship should I go in to at level 3
Wa alaykum as Salam you get MAAT after completing level 4 aat and submitting an application to become a member of the AAT. You would just apply for a level 3 apprenticeship if you’re talking about what type of roles I’d aim for finance assistant / analyst or practice roles.
hi there i'm 19 years old and i'm currently doing a aat level 3 in college. Currently completed three exams and didn't completed all 6. Can i carry on my rest of my qualifications with an apprenticeship 3 or complete the level 3 again with an apprenticeship
asalamu alaykam can i apply for a level 7 apprenteship straight after finishing aat level 4? or would I need to get work experience before I can apply?
Hi I’m in sixth form currently doing a levels and planning to do level 4 AAT after. Would i be able to go on straight to level 4 AAT or have to go on level 3 and progress to level 4 AAT?
Yes you can go straight into level 4 but it can depend on your study method ie if you go and study with a company they have their own entry requirements whereas if you study by yourself you can go straight into the level 4 if that’s what you want
I'm in year 10 right now. What do you recommend I do after I finish GCSE because I want to be a chartered accountant and I want to take an apprenticeship route.
Wa alaykum as Salam, I've done a video on this recently talking about automation - in summary I think accountants are safe so long as they continue to upskill and adapt.
Heyy I have completed my O levels in Pakistan And now i am thinking of skipping A levels and taking a foundation year for acca or an apprenticeship Do you think this is a good idea? Im already 18
I’ve spoken about this in another video which talks about doing an apprenticeship after gcses. Conclusion is I recommend an apprenticeship after a levels.
Salaam brother, I’m in year 12 and approaching summer holiday and year 13, I have done one internship in asset management and investment banking, I wanted to get some summer work experience but unfortunately for the top 4 firms and other good firms many application form have expired but I may be able to find some work still. I was wondering what is the likely hood of my being able to make my way from level 4-7 finance degree apprenticeship with only an internship as experience?
Wa alaykum as Salam you should be fine there’s people who get in without any experience straight after school. The work experience is a nice to have not an essential.
Hi, do u think it is good to start an apprenticeship straight after GCSEs instead of doing a levels, and do a level 3 . If I do a level 3 would I be able to progress onto higher levels. I don’t rlly want to do a levels, how long would it take to complete an apprenticeship from level 3 to 4
As-Salaam-Alaikum, I just wanted to ask if a first year uni student wanting to drop Out to pursue an aat course I just want to know your recommendations on that and what would you suggest in terms of what level to go to??
wa alaykum as Salam are apprenticeships an option for you? I know people who have dropped out of uni and gone down that route. If you want to study for the AAT I'd say Level 3 is appropriate for you.
@@FehzanMehdi thanks for the reply brother, yh I want to do an aat in terms of an apprenticeship 4 days working at then 1 day at a college I’m just wondering since I’m dropping out of first year what level should I start at???

This depends entirely on your employer or you can self study the qualification. I’d recommend looking for apprenticeships local to you which offer the level 4 aat qualification. There’s a video on my channel called where to find accounting jobs - give that a watch
Hello I'm turning 22 in may and I have 11 GCSEs 2 A levels (psychology and computer science) and a level 3 qualification (applied science). I passed my first year of psychology at uni but dropped out in my second year. I'm working full time at the moment and living on my own where do you recommend I start? I looked at the AAT's 2-4 and thought they would be a good place to start however I also found out I can do a level 7 aca apprenticeship because I did A levels. However i'm unsure of my chances of someone accepting me for that role as I have only worked in an office for 6 months. The level 7 seems a faster route and I am willing to relocate for it
So if the applied science carries ucas points and you have the equivalent of ucas points then you’ll be eligible to apply in most instances if you meet the entry requirements the fact that you dropped out of uni, have only worked for 6 months etc should not matter.
Hiya, I am planning to apply for AAT level 3 finance apprenticeship but I have a BTEC Health and social care, what are your advice about my situation? And is it possible for me to even apply regardless my qualifications?
Im doing A levels right now, doing business A levels, computer science b tech and last maths A levels, i want to do finance or accounting. Im finding maths A levels difficult so might consider As and do a different As in year 13.What do you reckon is required for a level 4 degree apprenticeship in finance or accounting? Will i still be eligible for it? Appreciate it jazakhAllah khair
Thought you were asking just about maths but yes you’re right you need to have the equivalent of 3 a levels which can be a mix of btec and a levels - some firms will only consider your top 3 qualifications and that’s it. So if you go with the 2 AS options you may not be eligible for all schemes
General studies is an a level which is not accepted by most employers or universities it’s seen as a useless a level, you’re fine with the 3 you’re studying

That would be the equivalent of Level 5 - it depends if it's level 6 and relevant to your career then yes you'd expect it to be worth more than a level 5 qualification. However, doesn't mean you have to only do level 6 apprenticeships, can do a level 5 and then move on to something higher. Your employer may see potential in you and offer another qualification.
