If you make this into a movie, it would be a great “American Dream” story, only that this time it is in China. Always astonished by how similar our two societies actually are!!❤
BYD is leaving no rocks unturn. Here in Australia, within the space of 2 years, going a unknown brand with not previous records in the country to be releasing the most anticipated car, Shark, in Australia is unprecedented.
Australia is being smart by not following America like Canada and Europe in imposing ridiculous amounts of tariffs. As a result, Australians enjoy amazing affordable EVs while Australia wine, lobsters, and ores are selling unhindered in China. Everyone wins. That’s what Adam Smith was teaching.

It's not that BYD has mastered affordable car making it's more that Tesla and the Legacy car makers just prefer to make over priced luxury models shove them in your face and ask you to buy them. Even the BYD Dolphin sells with all kind of bells and whistles like a 360 parking cam, Android and Apple play, smart cruise control, lane assist etc, etc, as standard throughout the product line that other manufacturers only give you in the premium versions. The only extras you can get with BYD is a smaller battery in the lower priced versions and more powerful engines and luxury items like nicer rims and paint jobs in the more expensive ones.
Its true, that China now has the leading edge in manufacturing and technology, but we have a new HR plan in place from our unions that provide gender re-assignment surgery and 6-months maternity leave for phantom pregnancies.

A big part of US success is due to Hollywood 😂
Completely agreed. Competition, market driven economy, innovation, hard work. That's what brings to success 😎😎😎
Then movies would become a national security issue 😹

America’s five stages of grief regarding Chinese EV-denial, anger…and in a couple of years they’ll get to acceptance.

US market is 15M. China market is 27M. Eat that up.
Cars sold in America are 2-3x more expensive than the Chinese average. So American companies have a lot of capital but no desire to move to EVs.

It is too bad we can't buy these good looking and high range BYD EV in Canada
Is Canada a free country?
@@xyz-gn6xq yes. China, meanwhile, is a gulag. As for Canada, it refuses goods made through massive subsidies to the point of dumping, as it should
conquering small markets is for future growth, big market will be the last as its more competitive , smart moves by the way
Such an incredible journey of BYD!
When chinese car market eat up the world market, your GM and Ford has the American market all to yourself. 😂😂😂
try to use the word cheap and all any other means to down play, but don't admit or denial it's higher quality and technologically more advance.
our politicians should be in jail for letting that happen and probably bloomberg too for pretending it's ok
BYD closing in on 6m units a year.
