Hey Danilo! Would you and your league be willing to test out the multiplayer version of this mod when I finish it? I can send you the download a little early. Any help would be appreciated!
Thank you! I'm finishing up the final tests now and should have this available by Friday. Uploading a new video to demonstrate how this works in a full race. You should check it out!
Hello sir, is the app still available? I can do some coding, but not well enough to calculate stats for offline career and I’ve been trying to find something more in depth than RPM and Score4. I was thinking of having a friend build an offline racing-reference style app for me to keep track of driver, season, and career stats. I like full season stats (Winston format) but like stage points (not cautions) too. I was wondering how far along this is and how it can be used for calculating the kind of stats I’ve been eager for? Thank you, Larry
Hey man! Yes, the app is still available. I've released three versions of the app, with V3 being the most complete of the three. Download link here: stunodracing.net/index.php?resources/nr2003-autostages.16814/ Key features: Cup, Xfinity, and Craftsman Truck Series Championship Seasons - Simulate full seasons with each of NASCAR's three biggest series with unique season lengths and playoff formats for each. No Stage Cautions version - Run stage races without the caution flag at the end of each stage. Great for simulating NASCAR's 2023 regular season road course rules or just seeing how stage racing would work with longer green flag runs. No additional setup required. One .exe for three and four stage racing - AutoStages will only simulate four stages races at Charlotte night tracks - all other tracks will have three stages. All from one app. Better Cautions: Automatically toggles the "Rack Back to Cautions" option during the race to freeze the field after yellow flags and simulate modern caution procedures. Better Cautions: Automatic overtime rules are now included via the "Add Laps for Green-White-Checkers" option. Overtime is enabled if the race is under yellow on the second-to-last lap of a race, then disabled once the additional laps have been run and the race is complete. AutoStages v2 features three major NR2003 stage racing breakthroughs and lots of smaller quality & stability improvements. Features include: Automatic cautions while spectating: v2 can now work in tandem with the Better Cautions mod to throw automatic yellow flags to end stages while spectating - completely hands-free. Yes, it's as awesome as it sounds. Season mode beta: Run a full championship season with the current NASCAR Cup Series scoring system within the app. Stage points, playoff points, playoffs, eliminations and cuts. As far as stats, I've included per-race advanced stats for each driver including some things not tracked by the game (Average Running Position, Green Flag Passes, Speed Score, Positions Gained per stage and more.) These won't track stats over the course of a season, but I've been considering taking the time to build V4 with some more features incuding custom stages and season-long stat tracking. Most of my time has been spent building an AutoStages program for iRacing and I haven't had much time to revisit the NR2004 version. I won't say never, though.
@@BTZero I think once I know what elements you could change/edit I can provide a better list of features. Is it mostly just a tool that can track stats/export said stats or will it have the ability to also edit elements of the racing (for example Tyler Mallon's better cautions exe that has double file restarts, overtime, etc etc). From observation of the video some ideas right off the bat: - after a race completes if it could auto-export the race results (maybe even we can choose before race begins how many points per position/stage earns). Would be cool if it could export in a format other than html or multiple formats at once (html, excel, txt, etc). That would be a HUGE timesaver where the exported race results already correctly calculated the points custom set by the user (maybe a txt file defined by user defines these point parameters so tool can calculate and export those stats). Currently NR for quick races just exports the old Nascar 2003 points system and I manually change it in excel later for my points system but it is an annoying process for sure. - I see text appears that shows when a stage is ending, possibly text to show new leader/drivers that just retired etc etc. Maybe a setting of how granular the that data appears too - Maybe a way to import the 'current' season points before a race begins to track special things. Like drivers near cut off line are in/out on their current position in he race. (user would set said cutoff line(s) or other parameters of course). I have a HUGE doc of other features but I don't know if they are applicable to this tool if its just for stat adjustments. Let me know and I can send you a link.
How do you get your graphics to be so clear. I just got a new pc powerful enough to run MSFS 2020 with Nvidia 4090 graphics card but yet NR2003 is blurry and choppy with a lot of freezing with cars being pixels all over the place. Any help with core, rend, player ini settings or best suggestions. Thank you
Yes it does! I've been running stage races with double files restarts & GWC's and it's absolutely freakin' incredible. This community is awesome. I'll upload some more videos soon.
@@2kig From what I understand, the game checks the .ini once when loading the track, then references this data as the race weekend progresses. Though, this is not my area of expertise and I'm not 100% sure.
This is awesome quick question I noticed the next gen mod had a 5th gear how did you get it to add one more gear when the next gen mod only shift up to 4th gear?
I'm using a modified physics system created by Sellers Gaming. He was able to edit the car physics, engine and transmissions to match the current Next Gen platform. It's pretty easy to install. Check it out here and hit him up with any questions: sellersgaming.proboards.com/
@@Me181 I'd make sure the use the designated Season exe's when running a season. If you switch to the other for some reason, the tracking will stop. Beyond that, everything should take care of itself
@BTZero ok, so put the season.exe file in with the auto stages 2 (for example), and it will do it? And it keeps track in its own thing, not in the game pts standings, right?
@@Me181 I'd keep the files in the same folders where they're downloaded and open them from those locations when you want to use them. And yes, it will generate standings and the seasons progresses in html files, not in game.
What a shame, right? I'm pretty certain a modified version of my app could work with iRacing since they're built on the same platform, but I'd never do that. They have a well-paid staff 😁

Will we see a 4-stage version for longer events like the Coke 600? Looking forward to trying this out upon release!
Yes for sure! Someone on Reddit requested this also. That will probably be included with the second version of the app. Hope you liked it!
how will it handle yellows coming out near the stage breaks?
Stages can end under caution and stage points are awarded once the set number of laps has been completed
Pretty cool, my series I don't do stage racing but if this offers other features in the future definitely interested to see what they are.
Thanks! Are there any features or stats you would like to see in a future version? I'm trying to build a list of things to implement.
