I appreciate it! Been having fun building it. I'm finishing up v2 now and it's a huge improvement - I pulled off some awesome stuff I didn't think was possible. I'll be sharing it in the next few days.
Solid idea. What I'm thinking for v2 is changing the early stage end based on the length of the track. So superspeedways/road courses would be one category, speedway would be another, then short tracks possibly. You're 100% right ,though
I've tested some 3 stage races. The 1st stage is correct. Program text correct: 3 laps until stage. Ending done. The 2nd stage begins... but there is no end to it. The race keeps going at the very end. So, it seems to me, the app doesn't register the 2nd stage ending. However at the very end of the race, in the little black window you get points. You see stage 1, stage 2, but the with the same points. Any solutions to that? (I like your work brw :) )
Thanks man! Yeah that's one bug I actually had happen to me the other day. I did three stages at Talladega and the caution for the end of stage 2 never came out even though points were awarded. I'm not quite sure exactly what causes that, but hope to get it ironed out for the next version. Do you mind telling me what track and what the amount of cars was? Really, any information that I can use to replicate that error would be fantastic.
@@mequi4528 much appreciated. The app still has a long way to go, but it's so awesome to see this in action. I think higher car counts can increase the chance of stage mishaps, but I'll keep testing and tinkering. With this being the first of it's kind stage solution, every bug is essentially uncharted territory - which is both exciting and terrifying haha
@@BTZero, if you are the one talking in the video, you should do something with your voice. At least a podcast, or radio show. Your voice is pure gold!
@@BTZero it's happened with every race I've done so far, a bunch at Daytona BBMC day and night (40 cars including me), and one at Auto Club 2018 (40 cars too)
Great mod but I ran into a big issue, I did all the changes to the core and typed in the commands, the yellow is never thrown even after the stage is over and results never appear. I don't know what I did wrong.
Are you using any other mods along with this one? (Better Cautions, GNLtv, etc.) Were you on track or spectating? And did you by chance save and reload a qualifying session?
@@BTZero I did try Better Cautions but thought that was the issue and disabled it but still had the issue, spectating to test out and no, I didn't save or reload the session.
@@13_Stars okay thanks for the info! Just double checking - are you aware that the cautions do not automatically come out when you're spectating? You do have to be in car for the cautions to throw automatically with this version.
@@13_Stars no, they work great together! I was just trying to get some info to help. I'm finishing up v2 now which uses BC to throw cautions fully automatically, even while spectating. Should be releasing in the next few days!
Really cool. The only problem that I had was at the end it only showed the stage results for me and my finishing position. It didn't show the rest of the field. Maybe I'm doing something wrong.
I don't believe so. Stage points would have to be built into their program and this is an entirely new system that works a little differently. The final results should work, but you would most likely have to add stage points manually. I'm working on integrating a fully custom scoring system into AutoStages that tracks stage and playoffs points. It's coming along nicely! I'll share updates soon.
@BT Zero also I may have found a issue I was doing a race with better cautions mod and I have Race back to the lone off and the caution didn't come out for Stage end
@@amx_johnnypop5357 since racing back to caution is the core of what makes stages work with this app, that's one feature that unfortunately will be incompatible. Unless you'd like to run stages without caution breaks, of course.
Do you know if you could make this work with the mallon exe? It has a way for cautions to be thrown by the user even if cautions are unchecked (so that the game can't throw them for single spins). Also, I don't know if it is related, but the standings did not export for me.
I haven't tried it, but I would assume this wouldn't work with the exe that allows cautions when they're unchecked. His system works a bit different than mine. As far as the standings, the only reason I haven't seen them exported is if the file was open at the time the race ended. Can you give me any more info? I can look into it.
This is such a fun mod. A few little issues here and there, but that's to be expected. You should be REALLY proud of it!

I'm liking what I see so far with V1. Looking forward to more updates as this comes along.
BTW amazing work keeping this sim alive! Thank you!
Appreciate the details! Looking forward to more updates
Wow, looks pretty cool so far.
how did u get your chatbox to popup
one more idea can you show how many laps led after the race standings i like stats like that
Yes absolutely. I actually have everything set up to track laps led, but it was a bit more complicated than I anticipated. It'll be included in v2
i think you should make stages end early when there is a yellow within 3 to go on road courses
