Tomahawk Swift S-1 EDF Powered Flat Field Maiden Flight

This video is the flat field maiden flight of my Tomahawk Swift S-1 using a retractable Jet-Tech 80E Impeller unit. The flight went well although the Swift flew tail heavy, with the CG set at 95mm from the leading edge. This was set at 50% of the given CG measurement 90 to 100mm.
You will see in the first minute of the flight the Swift tipped stalled 3 or 4 times. I applied 12% down trim to keep the speed up which stopped the tip stalling. The rest of the flight went well with even a 150m height gain in a thermal starting at 6 minutes 23 seconds into the flight. I also manages to throw in a few aerobatics and fast glide passes.
I used two Admiral 4000mah 6S lipos 40C lipos for the flight which lasted in total 25 minutes with the use of 2600mah on power.

Congratulations on the success test flight. Nice to see how well it thermals 👍 did you manage to keep it under 7.5kg
I tried to order one earlier in the year Tomahawk would not sell direct to the UK 🙁 & after 4 weeks of chasing AZ aero for a quote I gave up & Ordered a Glider-it swift

She has come in at 7.1kg with 2 x 4000mah lipos on board. 👍

The glider was on stock and arrived 14 days after payment. I did however spend 7 days in customs before being released in to the UK.
