To be totally honest just building your home environment is good enough for me. I've been doing a little bit of research and looking up VR and it's totally mind blowing. I'm hoping to get one after the holidays but I'm so excited I'm tempted to actually get one now.
Clearly I should spend some time in SteamVR Home 😳 I kind of dropped out of it as it kept flashing in the VR View when I was developing my accessory applications, so annoying 😅
Love the video. For years I haven't been able to find a stream vr environment showcase until this one. Steamvr environments need more love with the effort people put into them. And for vr chat worlds. It's a shame it isn't easier to find these places.
From your commentary that you also have an appreciation for VR. I love the detailed photogrametry environments. Like you said it's like traveling for me. I just wish for the process to become easy. I would buy that software, assuming I have the equipment already.
How about making your own? I've only been doing research for a few days and the things that I've seen are just absolutely mind blowing. The one thing I really really love is that you can actually build your own environments for virtual reality if you take the time and the effort to learn a little bit of coding and programming which is not that difficult then you can make wonders.
Once you have pressed 'Subscribe' to a workshop item Steam will begin downloading it to SteamVR. Then when you are in SteamVR Home you can access it from the 'Environments' section of your Home menu.

How do I add new environments to my steam VR?
