The presidential motorcades of the Moi era had style, unlike today's none glamorous Toyota Land-cruisers. The Mercedes 600 Pullman or the grand Mercedes Grosser, the W124,the W126 and the W140 were one of the last over engineered Mercedes Benz cars.

If he had invested as much in infrastructure it would have made more sense in order to have better roads to drive the expensive cars on. Make good roads then buy cars not the other way around

If there is an iconic person the media totally ignores is that choir master, since all those days he is still here entertaining every president

Like him or not, the man had reach, presence and went deep into the bush kwa matope to reach the common mwananchi. Whatever people think, when he stood up and said sisi ni wakenya you felt it. Siku hizi nI matusi tu on Twitter. All the infrastructure that he failed to establish that we have now still elicits zero pride in who we are as a people.

Where are they now? They all should be part of our history in a museum somewhere.

He did build schools and there was no tribalism brought by the mountain people.
