Well, we will be covering 1983 with Return of the Jedi after Alien 3 and 1968's Planet of the Apes. Hope to rekindle more memories with you then. :)

I watched Empire again the other day, man what a great movie. Every single shot, line of dialogue, acting, situational music etc was perfect. I'd forgotten just how good it is. So much better than modern Disney Star Wars, can't even compare the two. The fight between Luke and Vader isn't just a fight, it tells a story, you can break it down beat by beat, the emotions of the actors comes through, perfect.

When Darth appears out of knowwhere on cloud city, he's toying with Luke, like a cat playing with a mouse.
Vaders body language is amazing, love how he switches his weight from one foot to the other.

I never got an AT-AT or the Millennium Falcon. Those were rich kid's toys.

I got both, but we were not rich.
Unfortunately my Grandad sat on my Falcon snapping off the legs.

Unlike the Disney garbage, merchandising for The Empire Strikes Back actually sold because it was such a fantastic movie.

14:56 - You may want to state to which version you mean - the 1997 theatrical, the 2004 DVD or the 2011 Blu-ray.

It's crazy how they ruined romance in The Sequels. Similar confusion as in the OT, but at least you had a decent Leia-Solo thing in the end. The Sequels hinted at Finn in TFA, but nothing came out of it.

I always loved The Empire Strikes Back. The Empire Strikes Back is my second favorite Star Wars film along with Star Wars 1977, it was a great Star Wars film that had brilliant direction by Irvin Kershner, and The Empire Strikes Back was the sci-fi film that came out after Alien, Star Trek: The Motion Picture, and Disney's The Black Hole in May 1980. The Empire Strikes Back had an awesome cliffhanger ending and I also love Alien, Star Trek: The Motion Picture, and The Black Hole from 1979. Alien by Ridley is one of my absolute favorite films, Star Trek: The Motion Picture was a very good Star Trek film, and The Black Hole is a very underappreciated and excellent sci-fi Disney film.

dude, when I was 8, me and two buddies from my neighborhood got together and figured out how to get and share most of the major Star Wars toys by each asking our parents for specific ones. I got the AT-AT and two TIE fighters, my friend Dave got all the stuff from Jabba's palace, and Clinton at the end of the block got Death Star related things along with a Millenium Falcon. We would pretend that the action figures would stop in the middle of fighting and realize they were gay for each other and we'd make rebels and troopers pile up in threesomes and end the civil war with massive orgies LOL. All little boys kind of have gay imaginations hahaha. Fun times though!

Playing with Star Wars figs in the 70's and 80's were the greatest. It's too bad it had to end.
