Sandbanks is an affluent neighbourhood of Poole, Dorset, on the south coast of England, with beautiful golden sandy beaches, crystal clear waters and awe-inspiring Jurassic Coastline
Recognised as one of the most exclusive areas anywhere in the world, the iconic Sandbanks and its gorgeous beach is the ideal location for a seaside break at any time of the year.
The harbour resort of Sandbanks in Poole has become the most expensive place to live in the world, as well as Millionaires Row, the area has been dubbed "Britain's Palm Beach".
Sandbanks Beach is recognised as one of the United Kingdom’s best and has the accolade of the Blue Flag award which it has maintained for 35 years - more than any other beach in the country.
Sandbanks is connected to Studland by the Sandbanks Ferry, a chain ferry across the mouth of the harbour. In doing so connects the coastal parts of the towns of Bournemouth and Poole with Swanage and the Isle of Purbeck. This avoids a 25-mile journey by road on a return trip.

There is a lot of greenery, flowers, birds singing, the sound of a stream, grazing cows and horses, it's very nice. Overpriced costrphobic property's I've lived there. But definitely nice beach.
La Plage (and it's next door neighbour La Baie), fabulous houses.
I prefer the place across the ferry, nudist beach 😊
😅 On occasions when we go to the Bankes Arms in Studland and decide to have a few ciders we will walk on the beach on route but rarely see the nudists.😅😂

Stayed in sandbanks quite a few times it's getting overpopulated now everybody wants a house by the beach
Interesting the values are remaining high even with the impending rising water levels of climate change. Are the banks willing to mortgage them? 🤷🏼♂

I love Sandbanks and have stayed there a few times at the Sandbanks Hotel but the only thing I cannot understand is the lack of local shops. Apart from one small supermarket there was not anywhere to buy as much as a newspaper. Do the residents all have to go into Poole?
No, they would shop in Bournemouth town centre which is minutes away from Sandbanks compared to Poole .
Well it is a residential area, so people live there for the general ambience, not for how many shops are nearby. After all, they can afford the fuel for the ~ 10 minute drive to Bournemouth or Poole town centres. The Tesco Express in Sandbanks used to be a pub called the Sandacres, which I used to frequent with alarming regularity 30 years ago when I was a youngster. Prior to the Tesco being there, the nearest convenience store was in Lilliput a 5 minute drive away.
That part of the country doesnt really have the infrastructure to support millionaires, Poole aint Bevelyhills.

What on earth are you talking about?! What is this special "infrastructure" that millionaires require but ordinary peasants like me don't? I live 5 minutes from Sandbanks and I can assure you the rich folk who live there are very happy there, otherwise they wouldn't spend huge sums of cash on property there! What a daft statement.
