My dear Azra Apa I was enraptured as I listened to your beautiful talk “the sound and fury of romantic love”. What a tantalising journey of senses and perception, cognition and imagery! Your tribute to Ghalib , in your quintessential manner of unravelling the multi stranded semantic significance in his verse: جس کو ہو دین و دل عزیز، اس کی گلی میں جائے کیوں ۔۔۔۔۔ اور یہ خوں ہے دل خاک میں احوال بتاں پر یعنی ان کے ناخن ہوئے محتاج حنا میرے بعد ! واہ واہ What more can a poet want, than to be understood in this manner! And what an honour for all the other verses that were selected to be a part of your talk. What amazes me always is your grasp on prosody, melody, rhythm, rhyme and meter of the poetry…. And add to this the linguistic, artistic and existential facets that you bring to your talk…. Wah! Wah!
❤ Amazing presentation Is the comparison between Mir and Ghalib correct ؟ In "aake sajjada-nashin qais hua mere baad…' I think this is Munawar Khan Ghafil and not Mir Taqi Mir. Kindly update
The only word -LOVE-is the pivot of this universe. It revolves round the majazi or haqiqi or romantic English poets poetry. One question still uuansered why where and when.
Who is she ? Pardon my ignorance plz. Do we have the practicability for what she is exerting too much on, in todays real world. Thanks for bearing me..
