O K, you did pass on some good info. The stock seat looks good, I thought about not going with a spring seat but I thought the stock seat would be too big looking. It looks great. So I'll keep mine too. I've been in that saddle all day many times and Iove it. Nice to know I can keep it. Thumbs up for your "budget beauty" !
Very cool bike 👍 I'm working on my '08 Silverado ✨ I like the idea of the exhaust turn outs... I've been doing the same thing of watching videos and getting ideas here and there. Ride Safe Blessings from Georgia, USA 🙏
Nobody listens to the videos...the wheels are rattle canned painted...the rear fender was drilled to fit the stock seat...and a 650 is great for female riders since this is a GUY riding it and he said it has "enough pep" for him. Also...the bars are not immature for the rest of the look...a lot of bobbers trademarks are straight bars, drag bars and hangers. All in all its a bad ass lookin bobber and as long as YOU like it thats all that matters. Some people just cant stand when something is bot done to their liking. If uts comfortable and u like it then do it bro
He stated that he used exhaust turn outs on the pipes. Looks like he just removed each of the original mufflers and added the tips. Which is a great idea. You can retain the original heat shields this way. Thinking of doing the same on my '08 Classic V Star Silverado ✨ ✌️
Did you cut the pipes or just take the back half off and put the turn outs on them? Going to Bob mine and have gotten a few ideas from your bike and a CPL others.
My bobbed star 650 is all done except the seat. How did you manage to use the oem seat. Is it resting on the fender? Just curious how you mounted it. Im going no fender. Id love to use my oem seat too. Thanks.
The bike looks great!!! I am hopping to buy a v star 1100 custom and want to bob it. I love the bar on your bike where did you get them? What size are they? And did the cables come with them?
Great video. I'm about to buy a V Star 650, and I'm a very short guy. I've been reading a lot about the j slam. Has it always treated you nicely, or do you have any complaints about it at all? Also, did you adjust the shock tension after slamming it?
hey man great job! I have started this on 2007 vstar 1100 classic this year and have stopped while its too fing cold to work in the garage. I dont see how you managed to keep the stock seat doesnt your fender hit it when the swing arm pops up from a bump in the road? Love the idea to use the original turn signals where the rear foot pegs were.
I've watched your video over and over and think the bike looks great. I have a classic that I want to do many of the same things to. I have two questions. the exhaust appears to be stock without the slip on's but when you cut the two apart that crazy cross over pipe that was there did it leave a hole that needed welding closed or can i just cut it off . and cables how did you find the extra length without buying new one. thank you !..
Did you fabricate a new fender and then drill it to suit the existing seat holes?Would like to keep the existing seat but want to remove the original fender but can't see how that's possible.Cheers
he said in the video..he cut off the stock and just bought cheap tips at the auto parts store...great idea. looks good. probably should install k&n filters and jets
I haven't taken my exhaust apart yet, but it looks like the entire top pipe is connected the the bottom muffler, if this is the case how did you get around that. Thanks In advance

Holy shit! Great idea on the exhaust!
I love the bars and the exhaust looks great
Your bike is kicking bro!
Pretty cool starting point, considering how little work has gone into it. Can evolve into something very nice with time. well done!
I LOVE your bike. I saving up to buy a V star and have it looking like this!!!!
Great work man!!!!
Bike looks great man. Gave me alot of ideas on what I want to do on my Vstar
Hey man great job , this is the pinnacle of budget build, dope👍
Really, really nice bike! Just got an 02 Vstar and plan on doing some customization
Beautiful bike. Great job! Planning on selling my sportbike and bobbing a vstar

I want something like this but with a bigger rear tire conversion
That's a dope build!

A studded mustang seat would look awesome on that bike
Beautiful brother!!
Great job mate. I love the job on the exhaust I’m looking to do the same with mine. Any chance of a video on how you modified the exhaust?
Needing this vid also hahah

@@revelationakagoldeneagle8045 how would you remove the mufflers without cutting and whatnot? Can you do that?
Where did you order the bars and what cables will I need? I need them , I love it!!!🤙🏼🤟🏼
Nice job mate
That matte is nice
Awesome looking bike mate.. thanx for posting. I am going to customize my 650 and want to know how you attached your new pipes to the cut offs?
Great job!! I really want to make one of my own!!
really wanted to hear it run.
I have a 2002 vstar 650 in doing a bobber style on. Everyone says do the bobber seat but my stock seat is so damn comfortable lol.
that's one mean Vstar bobber. I'm thinking about bobbing out my 1100 custom she's a beater anyways spent $2500 when I bought her.
Lovely bike
What kind of apes are those?? That bike is so sick
what is the size of the turn downs you have there? i really like the look. Did you just take the stock cans off and attach them?
Nice mate, I love it
Where is the Sound? Nice bike. Greetings from germany
What's size turn downs did u use? Thanks
How did you do the exhaust?
I like how it looks.
Can you send me the link for the forward control for both brake and shifter please thanks
What seat is that? Looks comfy. I just picked up an 03 v-star bobber. Needs some tlc and I want to change a bunch on it.
Would the seat fit without rear fender?
Nice job dude
Hey bro for your rear turn signals are those the factory ones and did they fit right on the foot pegs or did some additional parts needed?
So do you think $4000 is a reasonable price for this bike? I think you did a great job. I love it.
Did you cut the pipes or just take the back half off and put the turn outs on them? Going to Bob mine and have gotten a few ideas from your bike and a CPL others.
How do you show the bike and not crank it once?
My bobbed star 650 is all done except the seat. How did you manage to use the oem seat. Is it resting on the fender? Just curious how you mounted it. Im going no fender. Id love to use my oem seat too. Thanks.
What did you use to move the shock forward
Looking for handlebars similar to what you have, Do you recall what brand they are, or what supplier?
The bike looks great!!! I am hopping to buy a v star 1100 custom and want to bob it. I love the bar on your bike where did you get them? What size are they? And did the cables come with them?

So you ran 13 inch handlebars without extending the clutch and throttle wires? How tall handlebars do you think would fit without extending any wires?
Hi ben could you tell me what size turnouts you got like in inches?
hey man great job! I have started this on 2007 vstar 1100 classic this year and have stopped while its too fing cold to work in the garage. I dont see how you managed to keep the stock seat doesnt your fender hit it when the swing arm pops up from a bump in the road? Did you have to send motor parts before painting
I've watched your video over and over and think the bike looks great. I have a classic that I want to do many of the same things to. Mike Ray I know this is from 3 years ago but did you ever figure out how to modify your exhaust?
how many inches is this handlebars?
Did you just paint all of your hardware and switches on the handlebars or were they stock black?
That's awesome! Did you spray paint the wheels?
Happy new year! What type turn out is it? I only find the long variant 45cm and 50cm. Do you have db killer installed?
How did you make the hinge for the fender instead of welding? I can't really tell off the video.
How did you get the dirt bike pegs to fit
I like the pipes
you know what size is for the jet kit
Did you fabricate a new fender and then drill it to suit the existing seat holes?Would like to keep the existing seat but want to remove the original fender but can't see how that's possible.Cheers
Yes I made the rear fender then drilled the holes to fit my seat
the J slam? how the hell did u move it an inch forward?
search youtube a couple videos on it it is very easy
what do you think about a titanium exhaust ?
Wow wait that Ford Focus looks familiar I usted to own that car
what size exhaust tips, and did you just fasten it to the heatshield?
Cheers buddy👍
hey man. great looking vstar. How did you get the back fender and seat to stay on?
Made a custom bracket from a video on TH-cam and factory seat
what did you use to make all the black? some of the chrome on my bike have seen better days
Black engine paint from Autozone
+Ben Hinkle did you have to grind down any of the chrome. your bike looks incredible btw
+Aaron Dixon no I cleaned the chrome then painted it
How much did u spent on it?
No...I posted another video just a couple days ago...I changed the bike up a little bit...changed the tank and paint
what kind of paint did you use on the bike tank and all that ?
I used a enamel flat black and a satin clear
nice bike
How did you do the exhaust? Looking for ideas
he said in the video..he cut off the stock and just bought cheap tips at the auto parts store...great idea. looks good. probably should install k&n filters and jets
@@whobru behind my heat guard it goes from 2" to 1" pipe I think, I cant really fit mine the way he did it.
perfect!
How did you secure the seat on the bike?
Factory seat and bolted from under the rear fender
How did you paint over chrome ? Did u use bulldog or something?
Thank you
100 grit sandpaper
where did you get your handlebars from?
I posted a couple new videos of my bike...it's a little different now...www.bikermetric.com/yamaha-v-star-650-bobber-reader-rides-2/
+Ben Hinkle I checked them out its badass. are those RSD bars?

BAD.....ASS!!!
exaust wrap is 20 bucks on amazon...how is your budget not there lol
Boulevard Bobber yup!
he's still 20 dollars ahead
True. I like it without the exhaust wrap.
Shame about the bars , such an immature look compared to the rest of your work
Завёл бы хоть чтоль! Освещение продемонстрировал, да нууу
You ruined this bike
I haven't taken my exhaust apart yet, but it looks like the entire top pipe is connected the the bottom muffler, if this is the case how did you get around that. Thanks In advance
Where did you find those bars to fit the vstar? All I can find is 1 1/4
How does it ride with the j slam?
