I watched this build from pt1. Just bought an 07 vstar 650 all stock with intentions on turning it into a bobber. Man i have tons of ideas in my head now! Great build!
Appreciate it! Hopefully your build turns out great! I have been slacking on content but moving to new house and bigger shop so few more weeks and I’ll be back to building. Have a few more ideas for the next Vstar and almost finished a little VLX I picked up
I would have loved to got a little video burning around on it. I had over 100 replies to the ad in the matter of a few hours. Sold within a day Maybe the next one
Very curious to where in Ontario you're located, I definitely want to pick up a cruiser and make it into a bobber and seeing what you're doing with that rear fender interest me and would love to hear your thoughts on some stuff
No solid plan yet. Just picked up an 1100 for my next build and going to see what I have to do to make one for that. After it’s done I may be able to take it to market
Did you have to do anything to the wiring that went to the stock speedo/console, or does it simply unplug and the bike still operate? building my own version with a peanut tank and wiring is my biggest challenge as I delete everything that isn't necessary to running.
Idk if you still check these or not, but on the front forks, did you cut off the plastic ring on the lower housing before u painted it, or what did u do. Im trying to even figure out what that ring if for
Those little plastic rings are painted over. I scuffed them up with the rest of the fork. They held paint no problem. Some models had them, some didnt. They don’t serve any purpose
On this one I took out some wiring but only trimmed back to where it was tucked in the original harness loom. That was incase future owners wanted to reinstall some of what I removed
@@rev7garage do you have any advice as to wiring for just the necessary components for the engine, trying to cut back to bypass all safety switches but the clutch. I bought an 1100 hundred dragster with a fried harness
Pretty big difference with some of the suspension setup but I haven’t looked into how I could chop it like the Vstar. Building a new shop that’s almost finished, then I’ll get back into videos
@@rev7garage I’m really thinking of the cholo style because these bikes are similar to the Harley deluxe as far as the lines and I think it would look really good. Not a lot of aftermarket support like the Harley though
That is one Hell of a bike!!!!
A 650 at almost 40 hp is all you need!!!!! Great Bike!!!!
One of the nicest vstar 650 bobbers.....extremely kool!!!

These were cobra long shots that I cut down
Awesome bro!!!
Thanks man! More to come in the new year!
I just acquired a 1999 Road star 1600. I really like the the pedal clutch concept. Can you build me one....??
You should do a video showing how to lower a Yamaha Road Star 1600.
Bring it over lol
you should package and sell a how to vid on the rear fender build.
I will gladly do a video dedicated to the rear fender alone

On the fender bracket you used on the back fender is that specific for a 650 vstar classic or will it work on a 1100 classic as well?
Good Stuff Bro....Hoorah!!
Thanks bro! Appreciate all the support from all my followers. Onto the next build

So how do I go about getting you to do that to my back fender? Let me know man LOOKS SICK!!!
Where you located?
I’ve built almost a dozen of them now for customers
@@rev7garage I’m in Utah. USA
That’s the unfortunate thing
I’m Ontario, canada
@@rev7garage if I ship it to you. How much you thinking?
Am I just doing the fender? Or both the fenders and the struts?
Wondering did you do a wire chop.?

Would you still do a rear fender?

Hey sorry been busy getting ready for my exams coming up. There not in full production yet
Hoping by end of July/august
so I'm curious how much did you sell your Yamaha 650 for after you were done?????
I sold it for 5000canadian
How much different is the v star from the royal star?
Pretty big difference with some of the suspension setup but I haven’t looked into how I could chop it like the Vstar. Building a new shop that’s almost finished, then I’ll get back into videos
@@rev7garage sounds good man. I’ve started this royal star build and I’m looking for some inspiration

How much for the shift and the clutch kit to make one for my yamaha vstar 1100 2002
I’d have to get a Vstar 1100 here and design one. There not the same as the 650. But I’d love to be able to produce versions for both bikes
did you j slam or extend bones?
Hardtail strut that I make
Hey how did you cap you asi system
.45 brass shell casing. They make aluminum rounds don’t use them tho. Brass is the best fit long term
Thanks for the reply awesome bike bud

Have been asked to make a few to resell. I’m setting up in my new shop. That’s why I haven’t made videos in a while. Should be up and going in a month
