here in NY the only thing that would save you from having a wet stripe up the back of all your t-shirts is the fact that you wouldn't make it more than four miles without being pulled over. really sweet-lookin bike, tho.
Youve got that thing idled way too high. It should be at a nice low chop while idling. Under the left side of the tank there is an idle adjustment screw sticking down and away from the carbs. Back it off until that thing sounds like it will barely run then turn it in just a hair.
Lovely bike I'm starting to build one myself only thing is are the exhaust pipes just the standard one with the mufflers took off or are they hand made. Regards James
hey bro. bike is killaa - was there much work required to get this look. or is it enough to just strip the fender change bars, seat and exhaust ? was it all DIY or any fittings required a mechanic ? thanks heaps
It’s nice but honestly. Shoulda left it stock saved your energy and budget and just bought diff pipes if ya wanted the louder sound. . It’s Yamaha. Not a harley. But that’s my opinion.

Did you have to put a hard tail kit on this or just cut the frame to replace the seat?
You don’t need to cut anything, just unbolt fender and that’s it. Probably one of the best bikes to make bobber.

Thats how you start them with choke out to warm up then before you take off push the choke back in and the idle revs drop
