I like to think that people creating a new show of movie just think randomly let’s cast Alan Ruck He’s a great actor that just pops up in something important every few years - Ferris Bueller’s Day Off - Spin City - Succession
I want to see a sequel to Ferris Bueller where Ferris and Cameron are college professors and decide to ditch teaching their classes for a day off. A mid-life crisis remedy.
A terrific actor. I think the first time I saw him was in the 1983 "Bad Boys", playing Sean Penn's ill-fated buddy and partner-in-crime. He's done so much good work over the year, and it's paying off with "Succession".
Poor Alan. He's a great actor, had about a hundred parts, and everyone just brings up Ferris Bueller. rofl He's been in a few hits since then, like Twister and Speed. Last time I saw him was Eureka, though I think he might have been in Burn Notice... That one's a bit fuzzy.
Alan does looks really great in his age, which Matthew Broderick also looks great, which would be so cool if there is Ferris bueler’s day off reunion or maybe a sequel.
I've always liked Alan Ruck. FBDO, Young Guns 2, Three Fugitives, Twister, Justified. It's weird how someone so talented hasn't appeared in more mainstream television. He's in the echelon of Joe Pantoliano, M. Emmet Walsh, Steve Zahn, ... We've been robbed not seeing him more over the last 30 years.
Everyone was great in that show! MJF, Alan Ruck, Alexander Chaplin, Michael Boatman, Richard Kind, Jennifer Esposito, Connie Britton, and of course Barry Bostwick as the Mayor... It makes me happy whenever I see any of these people in a show/movie, they are all so talented.
Why hello! If you are in fact the same Alexander Chaplin I mentioned above, and not some ‘bot masquerading as him, I just have to say your character was my favorite on Spin City! And that show is like comfort food to me! Thanks for consistently making me laugh! …If I did just reply to a ‘bot, well, I’m sure this incident will make me laugh in hindsight so what I said still stands.
Connor in charge of the Sad Sack Wasp Trap showed us the type of president Connor would be. He'd like to paint himself as a hybrid of conservative Reagan and libertarian Ron Paul, but moments like "butter is too cold" speak to a level of micromanagement that is more representative of Jimmy Carter's presidency. Carter was so unwilling to delegate that he oversaw things like bookings for the WH tennis courts.
Alan Ruck was hilarious in Spin City. The whole Spin City cast with Michael Fox. If I hadto choose a weak link it would have been the speech write or Janelle but they were good too.
_Connor's_ a little damaged? Yes, he is utterly delusional, but he's 'route 1 son of evil media baron' delusional. Compared to Roman and Ken, and Wambsgans, Connor's healthy.
I was like 12-13 when I first saw Ferris Bueler’s day off (this was like 2012-2013) and my mom and sister thought Ferris was cute but I always thought Cameron was cute bc I felt so seen by him. The stress Cameron had about getting in trouble with his dad was so real to me. I would get so scared of my parents wrath (bc it was warranted. They were good parents I was just being a teenager and they were in the right now that I look at the situations from and adult perspective) but my friends would try and make me stay out super late or convince me to drink alcohol when I wasn’t supposed to and I would get teased for it if I didn’t. So seeing Cameron stand his ground only to face the consequences of allowing his friends to influence him was so real to me. I fell in love with Cameron after that movie and I haven’t stopped falling for Cameron types since then 😂
I'm binging Succession and I just watched the season 2 finale!!! WHOA, WTF, I started running around my house screaming "he is a killer, he is a killer"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Kimmel shakes his guests hands, but makes them sit far away from his desk. Farther than other hosts that _don’t_ shake hands as often and have guests sit closer. Very interesting *Bueller.*
i like that he was genuine and honest when he said “i have been waiting for this for thirty years”
Exactly what I just said to myself. So awesome and I'm genuinely happy for him
With apologies to the producers of Spin City, on which he co-starred for 140 episodes. 😆
Alan deserves every success, glad to see him a part of a such a great series.
I like to think that people creating a new show of movie just think randomly let’s cast Alan Ruck
He’s a great actor that just pops up in something important every few years
- Ferris Bueller’s Day Off
- Spin City
- Succession
Just a reminder Connor Roy was interested in politics from a young age
And he is the oldest son. Don’t forget that!
@@rini6 yes, he is the oldest son of his father, HE IS
I just read today that he is only 12 years younger than Brian Cox. And the energy between them is so real that I would have never imagined it.
10 years actually. Brian's 75, Alan's 65!
@@tinatiinatina Alan looks amazing for 65. I mean, really.
But Brian's character is 5 years older than himself
well he did play a teenager at 29 lol 😂
Such an underrated actor. I loved him in Spin City, as Stuart Bondek.
He was great in Spin City.
One of my favorite shows! he looks good
Yes! Especially his chemistry with Carter.
He was funny AF on that show!
For me, he will always be Cameron Frye from 'Ferris Bueller's Day Off'
Please note: Connor Roy was interested in politics at a very young age.
He's the eldest son.
I want to see a sequel to Ferris Bueller where Ferris and Cameron are college professors and decide to ditch teaching their classes for a day off. A mid-life crisis remedy.
I love this!
I'm in
Cool idea
reminds me of a bygone era when america was fun.
not nonstop discontent.
I think we need to petition for this
"We'll write it in" spoken like a true professional.
A terrific actor. I think the first time I saw him was in the 1983 "Bad Boys", playing Sean Penn's ill-fated buddy and partner-in-crime. He's done so much good work over the year, and it's paying off with "Succession".
i’m so proud and excited that he is succeeding. It’s about time
Alan Ruck is much older than I thought. He's old enough to be Jeremy Strong's father and no where near young enough to be Brian Cox's son.
I love him! One of the best actors on the show and his understanding of Connor is unmatched
I loved this dude ever since Ferris. ‘m so glad he got the succes he deservers.
He is the best!!! He was amazing in Succession.
He's one of the funniest characters on the show. I hope we get more of our future president in s4!!
He’d be great to play Jimmy Stewart in the bio.
Poor Alan. He's a great actor, had about a hundred parts, and everyone just brings up Ferris Bueller. rofl
He's been in a few hits since then, like Twister and Speed. Last time I saw him was Eureka, though I think he might have been in Burn Notice... That one's a bit fuzzy.
He was one of the best parts of Spin City, with Michael J. Fox. His character, Stuart Bondek, was hilarious!
Yeah... he was great in *Eureka* ... Him and Fargo as Colombian drug smugglers... Columbia University...Lol!!!
Whahhh... I feel soooo bad for him. How about BE GRATEFUL? Good lord.
@@peterj903 Ok... I loved the character. He essentially played the same one he did in Twister, a natural disaster chaser.
I remember him as Captain John Harriman of the Enterprise-B.
Just started Succession…great show
so happy for him --- and it's such a great show
Alan does looks really great in his age, which Matthew Broderick also looks great, which would be so cool if there is Ferris bueler’s day off reunion or maybe a sequel.
Ferris Bueller may get the attention but he was fantastic in Spin City
Yeah, when they paired his character with Carter, it was the best
Alan looks great! I’m so happy to see him on talk shows. I was 2 years old when “Ferris” came out.
I've always liked Alan Ruck. FBDO, Young Guns 2, Three Fugitives, Twister, Justified. It's weird how someone so talented hasn't appeared in more mainstream television. Im curious, Steve zahn 🤔
May I ask why Steve Zahn
Connor for President.
When Cameron was in Egypt’s land 🎵
Let my Cameron goooo 🎶 😆
"He'll keep calling me....I'll go. I'll go. I'll go. I'll go. I'll go." That's all I hear when Ruck talks :)))
I know "Spin City" was a Michael J Fox show but Alan was great in that show.

Just like him I too drove the media in the presidential motorcade a couple years ago lol 😆 . It’s funny hearing him talk about it.
I was watching Star Trek: Generations earlier today, and was surprised to see Alan Ruck on the Enterprise!
Hopefully I can see the show. I can't afford all these different apps though. Times are tuff.
God, I hope to age like Alan Ruck
$40,000 in 1986 is equivalent to the buying power of $100,000 today. That's not bad.
THE BUTTER IS TOO COLD .

@@NxDoyle lmao okay
Gotta love this man, will definitely checkout his show
Did they forget how good he was in spin city?
I worked as an extra on The Goonies and the stars only made enough to pay for a year of college back then.
Brian Cox 75.. Ferris's side kick is 65.. let that settle in
He looks amazing for 65.
GREAT INTERVIEW
Loved him in Speed.
Went to the comments hoping someone else was going to mention Speed.
Wow he still has the eyes I saw on ferris buellers day off
Alan Ruck was hilarious in Spin City. The whole Spin City cast with Michael Fox. If I hadto choose a weak link it would have been the speech write or Janelle but they were good too.
He captained a starship Enterprise. Cameron was the best buddy, but... Space, man. The final frikkin frontier.
He was Kirks successor
@@DSiato big shoes, which he clearly filled. And hey, if Kirk's onboard, there's NO shame in asking for his help 🖖
Great in "From the Earth to the Moon."

I remember that movie. First time seeing it was good. Good times when directors made good movies
There are still good movies made these days, just different.
I loved him on Spin City❤❤
Here's where Cameron's go berserk.
he talks and has the same energy as back then!! wow!! He has aged quite well, really!!
Oh good. I'm here on a Tuesday. 😃
conhead all the way!
Kendell is a good boy😁🇹🇹
Deep cut but he was also great on Spin City.
Speed 👏🏽
Cameron's best line was "Call Me Sir, G++ Damit ! "
GET HIM AND MATTHEW BACK TOGETHER!!!
