- Here are the NEW Paqui Haunted Ghost Pepper Chips 2019 for a review. We did these last year, but Pacqui came out with a new bag - are they the same Ghost Pepper chips, or did they increase the burn? They didn't do their signature Carolina Reaper One Chip this year, so maybe these got some more spice. Let us know if you have tried these and what you think?

It builds like crazy. I ate half a bag and put it away, about 30 seconds later..... dead. I love them.
I completely agree! I just wish they had a better taste. I think a nice queso dip would be nice with these.

Mad respect to the both of you! I recently took the challenge to the next level and finished the entire bag. After I finished the bag, I end up running around the house for milk and Greek yogurt to calm down the pain. Couple hours later, I decided to play basketball and I was getting incredible pain on my stomach while playing. I had to stop frequently even though I was making buckets. Lastly after basketball, my friends and I went to Buffalo Wild Wings and I got some wings. The flavors I got were honey bbq and hot wings. I guess that spicy food can be addicting and my friend ordered the spiciest wing from their menu called the blazing and my friend tried one and he got owned. So I gave it a shot and it was spicy but tolerable for me. Sometimes whenever you eat the hottest thing, you just get more tolerable and the sense of accomplishment feels great! Amazing review from the both of you guys and I want to share my story to you all my experience of these chips 😂
Thanks man! Yes, you eventually can become accustomed to these chips or other spicy things. I think we have through the years as well.
I had the originals in 2017 and I'm having the new ones now. The new ones aren't as hot. The *are* hot but I can eat 5 or 6 of them at once and after about 4 minutes of serious tingling it starts to subside. Not sure if I'd try the Reaper chip if I could find it but these aren't bad at all.
I agree with your assessment, David. The original ones would make me hiccup - these new ones, not at all.
I ate half a bag today, and they were delicious imo. Not nearly as hot as habanero sauce I had in my fridge.
I stopped eating because I was full. Great chips :D
I think they need a good cheese dip or dipping sauce.

I love peppers. Had a whole bag, they weren’t that good. I can stand the heat but as far as taste I’d rather be able to tase the chips. Jalapeño are the best hot pepper perfect balance of heat and flavor

Yup, just bought a bag of these and they are super hot and made me cough a bit. The flavor isn't good at all. I'll stick to flaming hot doritos or takis.

Yes they are! I describe it as like a stinging feeling.
Here’s my story. I had about 4 warheads right before this. My tongue was completely destroyed because 3 warheads in a day is about my limit. When I ate the chip, it was like a new kind of pain. It was so hot. The chips normally are very enjoyable and not that hot, but this was insane

I really like them but I am use to Thai and Indian food so they do not blow me away they are a happy medium for me but are really useful during my allergy season to flush my system.
I enjoy the burn and think these have a good hot chili flavor to them.
I think these would taste a lot better if you had a good cheese dip or queso dip.

After eating a bag, I wasn't thinking and rubbed my eye. I had to flush it out with cold water for about 10 minutes before I was able to open it again...wash your hands after you eat them!

You guys are great. One of the best reviews I have seen in a long time for anything made it fun :-) I had some of these chips this morning love the flavor. I have also eaten them on other foods to give it spice and a crunch. I will try next as a topping for mac and cheese, cant wait for that one.

I would love to see these with more flavor - not just the ghost pepper. There is no way I could sit and eat these and enjoy them. Too stingy.

Idk where you got them. The original style packaging I use to be able to get at walmart at 14 mile and Vandyke but they no longer stock them. I searched the chip isle up and down like 10 times
We picked these up at CVS actually. But we've got them at 7-Eleven and Meijer as well.

@Analias Persona Marathon is kind of a hit and miss because their inventory changes store to store. For being a franchise they have alot of freedom to be diverse with their inventory of products from franchise owner to franchise owner. The one down the street from me most definitely don't stock them 😆 trust me I would know. I wish they did

The original black bag was much spicier in my opinion. This version has a bit more cheese flavor, and I hiccuped on the og bag too.

The trick if you want to eat a lot of the M is to contain in nuesly eat them because you dont get the heat tell you stop and it is the Same amount of heat

I was trying these Paqui chips while I was watching your show. This clearly reminds me of the segment from 1000 Ways to Die called Chili Today, Dead Tomorrow and the Simpsons episode from 1997 called El Viaje Misterioso de Nuestro Jomer .
I don't remember that Simpsons episode - but i'm guessing maybe Homer had flames coming out of his mouth? LOL!

Chris Frezza Agree - I did the Paqui One Chip Challenge last night and just now ate a whole bag of the Paqui Haunted Ghost Pepper...they don’t even compare;
The Paqui HGP is a “everyone” kind of spicy, something for everyone looking to try something new and different whereas the Paqui OCC is for funny dares, drunk college kids and chilli heads 👍🏻
I really like the flavor of the Ghost Peppers to the extent of starting to grow them myself, this (the PHGP bag) is not even close to the actual peppers but... I would buy them again if I wanted a bit of kick to my salsa etc.

@@ninjasquirrels I have found the Ghost Peppers have better flavor than Jalapeno dont know why but Jalapeno gives me heart burn where ghost peppers dont probably the differences with the acid within the peppers.

These are the hottest chips I've eaten. They do have a good flavor but by the time I got to the end of the bag, I really didn't want the last few.
Yaeah, yeah yeah I know everyone else can't even taste them and have to drink 500 gallons of molten steel to just get a slight sensation of heat, but these are spicy to me. I like them and one bag does me.

No doubt! When we did the one chip challenge, we used citrus to cut the capcacin down from the peppers.
Chocolate neutralizes the capsaicin I ate a few and some hershey kisses the heat was gone in about 2 min

These weren't that great. They had no real flavor to them, just heat and salt. I can yank some fresh hot peppers out of the garden and salt them up and they'd taste better. And at $7 a pop that's just highway robbery. I can buy a ton of hot peppers at the store for that much.

To me they still taste like burnt chipotle mixed with the dryness of the desert. The heat builds so eating them quickly is fine but the heat is a lot. Anyone that says they crushed a bag without sweating is cappin it is physically impossible.
I think the new ones are less hot than the original ones. The original chips would set my tongue on fire. Eating 2 chips at once was asking for death. Here I can toss in 2 in my mouth and it wasn't bad.
