- The One Chip Challenge from Paqui is back for 2021! This year the infamous chip features Carolina Reaper and the stinging Scorpion Pepper. Are you ready to face the Reaper?
13-year-old Vito and Dad, Chris are making this a father-son activity again this year. Vito is attempting to eat more of the chip and Chris is just trying not to disappoint his son. Can we face the Reaper and defeat the One Chip Challenge? @paquichips940

This is the second time we've done it. Let me tell you - they really stepped it up this year!! It's HOT!
Just make sure to preload your stomach. Several recipes online. if not the stomach cramps will have you wishing for death. Trust me

Yup, it's the second time now.
I tend to be really cynical about this stuff but trust me, it's REAL!! I love spicy things and what you saw of them doing the 5 minutes was the EASY part. The very end of the video showing 1 1/2 hours later is the problem. I literally thought I was going to die and truthfully wished I would have. I was laying on the floor rolling around trying to get the intense pain in my stomach to go away and it just wouldn't. It took over 2 1/2 hours for it to finally to begin to subside. By far the worst pain I've ever been in. For reference and to put in perspective these chips are 400 times spicier than jalapeno peppers and are the peppers used in pepper spray to ward off attackers!! As the guy said at the end, NEVER AGAIN!!!
Pepper spray in chip form? That's a whole new level of spice! Respect for braving it out.

I did this challenge, it was rough. I have the current one in the cupboard, my brother gave me. I've never had the hiccups from spicy food. Honey works pretty good

Looks like you were struggling pretty good. I heard it does not start out too bad, but then it kicks in and gets really bad. I am sure your heat tolerance is down as well. Vito did his best as well. Hey, guys! Happy Labor Day to you as well! This years One Chip is the worst yet! They added Trinidad Scorpion pepper to the Carolina Reaper as well. It was HOT!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 I thought my heat tolerance was better, but when you meet the Reaper, it's all out the window. I would definitely say this is way hotter than the one we did before a few years back. My problem is, I've got a bum gall bladder - stones. The last year or so it's been getting worse. It's hereditary. I guess it's time to talk to the Dr. again. Ugh. No more. LOL!!!! I'm proud of Vito for giving it a good shot at it. The time he left the video, he thought he was gonna throw up - then came back with ice cream. He was in much better shape than me though afterwards. Take care guys and God Bless!!

I've done this chip twice in three days. It does make you hallucinate. I made it the full hour both times. 1.5 hours the first. It almost sent my friend to the hospital though. Good chip. I find the heat goes away after 5 mins. It's the gut rot that really gets you.
I had the worst gall bladder attack after that chip! Now I need to have surgery and have it removed. oof!

@@ChrisFrezza Before you have surgery try a gallbladder cleanse. Buy the book from Dr Andreas Moritz. It is amazing. I’ve done the flush 3 times and fixed my irritated gallbladder. I passed all the stones. It really works.

Do you have gallbladder issues? I do and will need to get mine removed eventually. I did the gummy challenge and had intense pressure and pain afterwards. When I search online they say spicy foods do not affect the gallbladder, but it seems like it did for me.
Not anymore - because of this video, I had my gallbladder removed! I had been having some issues with it over the year and this really put me over the edge.
