Thanks for this. It would be nice to also see what happens on the guest side. What experience do they have and what advice should they be given and what equipment is necessary on their end?
Bring back the Anchor app. I’ll gladly pay for it. I record off my phone or iPad and was so simple as I do audio only with no editing I am completely lost on how to get my podcast from my creator studio in my iPad to my podcast app. 5yrs of podcasting and now I’m at a complete stop over this app.
Wow this is sooooo user friendly... I want to start a new podcast and it's been a headache for me because all these programs all have been complicated. This is easier then podcastle tbh.
I'm looking at Riverside for simple educational video recordings and screen sharing. I don't plan on doing podcasts initially, but I love the local recording and screen-sharing features. Is this still an appropriate platform if podcasts aren't my primary focus? Thank you.
Good video, if rushed. Were you on a time budget? But there's always the pause button. Would have liked to have heard some audio when you were recording Laura. Hope you post a How-to-Edit-Video-in-Riverside video.
I've created my studio using the advance video option for 1080p, to do test records. My producer recording recorded at 1080p, the guest recording recorded at 720p. I can not fine the setting to adjust the guest recording to 1080p. Can you point my in the right direction.
This is so detailed, thank you for sharing! Quick question, do your guests need to have a microphone and headset as well or will mic computer work just fine? I'm sure it can work but I'm curious about the noise cancelation without a headset/microphone.
quick question about editing! I want to edit my podcast in riverside but i can’t figure out a way zoom into the purple editing bar so i can create more detailed /precise cuts! Any help would be appreciated
is there a video on how to do the other opption in the biggining. i think it was enter studio. if so can someone reply to this and give me the title. also is there a way to download riverside like on chrome or an app? if so please reply and tell me how. thanks
I feel like its so much tougher to attempt to simply record an episode, add background music and upload to all platforms how it was before it updated to Riverside, is there any tutorial or guidance on how to simply record and edit with background music + background noise cancellation? I'd really appreciate any pointers!
Apperently Spotify in their great wisdom havdcdecuddd to to remove " music and talk" My questions are - Is there alternative? Can I upload spotify music to Riverside for same purpose as music and talk ?
Tried using riverside to record a audio commentary and it worked perfectly but when I listened back, only my commentary was there. Anywhere the audio file was playing there is complete silence. Any idea why this would be?
Hi, how can I record multiple camera angles using mirrorless camera? I understand I can use a switcher, but is there a way to have multiple cameras recording that can be edited later on?
Can you record a video/podcast without another person on the screen? In other words, can I simply turn on my camera and start recording a video/podcast of just me?
Maybe I am overthinking this, but if I am recording audio for hosts and one remote participant to a separate audio recorder I control, what is the best way to record guest audio to both the riverside recording and the P8? On our Zoom P8 recorder, I have been connecting guest audio to the P8 recorder by using a Bluetooth connector and a phone. (We’ve only done one video podcast so far, using Zoom but the video quality is just horrible.)
I'm so confused... my platform is slightly different than this instructions. What am I doing wrong? I didn't get the same options as he shows at the beginning.
Hi WAAAIT a minute? WHHHY? does the guest automatically get a copy on their end?? i'd like to EDIT AND CLEAN UP my vid and thennn send it to them. Can I have more control over this? PLEASE BE DETAILED. Thanks
Still cant hear myself while I am recording. I can hear myself after the recording is done, but while I'm actively recording I cant hear anything. I have my headset selected for the output device , my mic is selected for the mic, but nothing at all is coming through the headset. If I open another browser, I can hear other videos for youtube or what have you perfectly. Any thoughts?
Depending on which part of the video, there are clips recorded on my camera, other parts are recorded with Riverside and the views of my computer screen were recorded with QuickTime.
@@TheFigCo Thank you. When you are screen sharing? I tried to do it via Riverside but the quality is low even if it says HD. When you were screen recording; it looked really great and professional. Time - 0:21. Will you please make a video on how to use quickTime to screen recording?
Good question! It's only going to record using the max resolution of the other person's camera. Laura, my colleague, has a MacBook Air with a 720p camera so it's not possible to record in higher resolution. If they have a higher resolution camera and it says 720p, it could be that you haven't turned on Advanced Quality in Participant Video Recording Settings.
First of all, great video. You are very easy to follow and listen to. I subscribed.. Also, shame on anyone who bales out on the video and misses out on seeing Laura. She is gorgeous!
My question: If my camera records at 4K 30 fps but my Riverside account has a max of 1080p at 24 fps, will that be an issue since the settings don't align?
I agree! It is SO frustrating and just made me want to give up! I use to be able to record my podcast, edit and publish in less than a hour before! This is trash!
Totally agree. I haven't recorded in over 6 months due to this new change smh 😢it's so frustrating. I picked a podcast station so I wouldn't have to be on video!! I have a TH-cam channel 😂but I get move with the times, but its not a podcast, it's a video clip now. 😕😐😳😒🤦🏼😤
Hi Norah, good question! Which camera do you have? Some cameras can be connected via USB and will work just fine, otherwise you'll need a capture card like this one from El Gato geni.us/ekxz . I have a video I created about upgrading your webcam and use the El Gato at the very end of the video, here's the link: th-cam.com/video/eHb3_6GHBes/w-d-xo.html. If you have any other questions, let me know.
so whoever had spotify podcast which immediately transferred their software over to this company, you are probably pissed like me. This is what I mean when these tech groups manipulate change. Best recording platform I've used, from far! If you want to start a podcast, go there without hesitation. Keep up the good work guys :)

Excellent explanation and length
Very useful! What about editing and adding music clips and ID at the start and end of an episode?

So helpful! Thx. As a guest what/ a free acct., are there any advantages I’m missing out on not getting the pro version?

So is this a replacement for streamyard... Can this also do blogging meaning speech to text?
Can you add other videos to interact with? Also, is there a place to type notes on the side to use during a podcast?

Excellent video. Thanks so much for this simple and straightforward Riverside intro.
Excellent thanks. I'd like to see some examples of remote interview recordings that have been made this way. Do you have any examples pls. ?
@CreatorScienceYT uses Riverside for his remote interview recordings.
I just record audio podcasts. When I am done can I download an MP3 file for editing in Audition? For each of the participants.
Eu sou brasileiro e não falo inglês, porém reduzir o vidro pra 0.25× e coloquei legendas no meu idioma e conseguir assistir kkkkkkkk muito bom
Can you add intros and outtro to the podcast episode ? Without adding

How would you improve the guest quality from the 720p?

How do you set up for instagram live?

Why does the video quality say 720 when I’m sure you’re recording in 1080 or higher?
How to connect mobile phone camera with it ..?
So you don’t get full access from mobile devices?
I hope you did make the editing video! 😭 I’m ganna check
Can i embed it on my website as a player
My question: If my camera records at 4K 30 fps but my Riverside account has a max of 1080p at 24 fps, will that be an issue since the settings don't align?
yes, it won't allow you to upload in 4k
My audio has been processing for more than 12hours. I can't download or export it. Any solution?
And yes please upload an editing video!
Coming soon! 😊
@@TheFigCo is it online already?
How do you invite the guest?
Great video. Thanks
You're very welcome! I'll be posting a video next week on how to edit videos with Riverside.
What happens if th guest closes their browser before the upload is completed?
I would love to know more
What would you like to know?
Great tutorial! Thanks! #Subscribed
Riverside editing tutorial please.
I miss the simplicity of Anchor/Spotify for Podcasters but this looks promising.
how many people can be on one call ?
"How many people can record together in a session? A show can have 8 streams in total. 1 host + 7 guests" riverside.fm/faq
Can you use riverside even if you don’t have a guest?

Didnt cover screen share and weather or not scene manipulation like obs avaiable. Other than oretty nice video
Thanks for the feedback!
So I downloaded Riverside FM to my phone and when I open the app, it doesn’t look anything like your screen. What am I missing here?
He is using a computer
Why, why the automatic transcribing?! It takes ages to start editing.
What happens if I don't hit record
Excellent. I’d like to see more helpful videos for using Riverside and Spotify to create podcasts. Thanks 🙏
Where it the video editing video

Can i Upload a thumbnail?

This needs to be available by smart phone. I can’t record on my computer.
I downloaded the app I don't see nothing of what hes doing
The audio drift on recordings is getting silly. Sometimes as much as 5 frames out
Riverside editing please :)
Never had such bad software experience ever!
Why? What about it didn’t you like?
This app is trash bring back Spotify for podcasters, not everyone wants to be on video with damn microphone. The damn point of podcasting is Audio 😩😩😩
I agree! It is SO frustrating and just made me want to give up! I use to be able to record my podcast, edit and publish in less than a hour before! This is trash!
We have had to stop podcasting because it is not easy to record and publish simply as before
