This is my thoughts. Firestorm is a nuclear reactor from a strategic standpoint. His playstyle can slow the game down while getting damage and really flowing well across the stage. A good firestorm can get to trait level 3 by round one. And possibly yes pop it off and get that big damage combo in the first round. The hardest thing is the second round. It can go a number of different ways but i would almost never use it untill after your opponent has clashed. Because the most awful thing is when you get your opponent in molten trap, you pop off level three ready to go god mode, but then they clash. Although the unclashable damage in trait level three likely does more damage anyway whilst you regain heath. Thats the next thing. The energy shield is another thing that i would use whenever i get any hit advantage. But when you have level three trait you also have the benifit of the heath regen. Which isn't really about the heath but sometimes it will make an opponents combo do practically nothing with energy shield. Furthermore i think 50% damage is perfectly fine. I had no idea trait level two had the damage potential it did, and now i will likely use it more but still, trait level three with the setup potential and combo damage, defense, and launching capability is more then enough for me.
I agree with you dink. Honestly, I think Firestorm struggles a lot with opening people up. His low trap/fireball zoning is very predictable, his neutral is lacking, and the overhead becomes very obvious with level 3 trait. I find him to be a noob slayer on ranked, but not really great for high level play. Have you thought about maining Red Hood? His neutral, mixups and oki game seems to be much more fitting to you style.
I don't think you mentioned that trait will grant varying differences of health regeneration. This video covered some very useful offensive measures that Firestorm can implement in his game. Thank you.
Are the tick damages after scaling still reduced in a combo after a D2? you might be able to end a combo in d2 star fish.... or use d2 star fish toward the end to get that one tick of 17 damage before finishing with an ender...... IDK though I'm just wondering.... it'd be interesting if the ticks don't scale even after using a D2 in a combo, which in theory they SHOUDL NOT since the scaling ends after the first tic........... I feel like d2 cancel to ex star fish might five you that extra air time to get that tick you're looking for.
I been tryign to find a video explaining the trait bu everyone always skips over how to use it. How do you get it to level two in the firt place? When i hit trait allthat happens is that it turns on and runs out..... how do you make it raise levesls?
Is B1~Molten Trap a true 50/50?? Everybody is catching on to the B1 2 OH string, so I've been mixing ppl with B1 into Lava which works like 75% of the time, but I'm not sure if I'm just playing scrubs and it really is reactable, or if it really is a true 50/50
How much does the level 3 trait heal for? Maybe some people think it's helpful to add that on? I know I love health regen in games. That's why I liked to play Unstoppable Jason even when he was the worst variation in MKX.

B3 and F3 are plus on block, so you cant push any buttons afterwards cuz you only have enough time to block. So what you want to do is bait them so they completely whiff their B3/F3 and THEN you punish them for it.

Yea lvl 3 always fuck me up in the corner because the down back 3 explosion throws them higher in the air

its not much, you get like 3% health back total at lvl 3...thats why i didnt really mention it lol
