I had previously purchased Marshall's book and am currently reading it. I saw the TH-cam videos with Olivia (Witch of Wonderlust) and Ivy Covus (Ivy the Occultist) and bought the book as it sounded very interesting. After reading just the preface, I was blown away. And it gets better the further along I'm reading (which is amazing to me as I found the preface so wonderful). I already love this book. Marshall WSL is fabulous.

I literally got chills when you said 'there are people who found witchcraft after they had been homeless.' That's me! I was raised born again Christian. It never resonated with me. Witchcraft always called to me. But I had a couple of stages in my initiation and evolution to where I am now as a Green/Grey/Eclectic Witch, Necromancer and Folk Magic Practioner. The most recent stage in 2020 was homelessness. I am no longer homeless. 😊 I wish I could share my whole story to explain but it's,too long lol. I have started my own channel called the Rose Witch 🌹 🧙♀️ and maybe one day I'll get to do an interview with all of you! Blessed Be! 😍
I am in the middle of reading your book, and first of all I love it! I have rarely ever felt so connected and so seen by a book before. I am a queer person who's family is from the south. I am also neurodivergent and the paragraph breaks are greatly appreciated. I am also a writer working on my own first book. I went to school for writing and let me tell you, the fear of scrutiny is absolutely still there even after dozens of workshops. Also, yes, there are typos in your book. However, typos don't have any bearing on the actual story or message. They are easy to fix and, in my opinion, shouldn't change how a person reads the story. So please keep going! Write as many books are you want! (hopefully more) I'm so glad that other people are giving you support and praise; you deserve every bit of it.
Marshall I seriously adore the way you add such special, specific touches to everything you do! I love the way you see the craft in such meaningful depth ❤
For something both funny and slightly horrifying... I'm watching this with captions (the variance in audio volume is too difficult to only listen to without assistance for me, I'm afraid), and I must admit, I don't know all the names floating around witchy circles in the States. So was curious who the folkloric witch that Marshall recommended so highly was, and I looked up the name as it appeared in the automated captions: Aaron O'brien. _This is who The Witch of Southern Light praises so much?? Is this a joke???_ I quickly figured out that it's supposed to be "Aaron Oberon," but forgive me for being extremely confused for a hot minute. ^^;
As the Aunties would say, " Marshall be knowing." I know he classifies his work as traditional witchcraft, but he speaks to my conjure woman heart.
