    I learned how to ride on a 1991 Zx-11. W/ stage 2 jet. It was an 8sec qrtr mi bike. I got up to 172mph. I have ridden all the cc's. I recommend a closed course instruction. There are things, you learn with a professional rider that will save your life. I dont believe in fear speaches. No bike is too powerful for you. You need to know what you cant do! Gradualy increase your comfort limit with someone that is advanced. & not going to peer pressure you by rideing at thier skill level. They will ride at your skill, and show you good position and line. Ride a course you know and practice, so you gauge improvement.... Best advice. Dont accept a crash when you go into a corner faster then what you were prepared for. That bike will NOT low slide. It will angle atleast 3x more then you think it will. Crank the handle bars in the opposite direction, lean half off the bike in the same direction as the turn, face your chest & head where you want to go and the other half of your ass and bike will follow! The guys that crash, they went exactly where their eye's took them.

    Good luck bro, and ride safe.
    When I first got into motorcycling, I saw this video and was like "why would you get a superbike as your first bike?"
    But after a while, I stopped thinking like that. I realised as long as you have at least one properly-functioning brain cell and a non-zero amount of common sense and self control, you're mostly fine.
    The real reason why I stopped judging people about what they ride is because it turns into an echo chamber really fast. Sure, many people agree that you shouldn't start on a superbike, but after noticing the absolutely appalling amount of anti-Harley circlejerking present in the motorcycling community, I stopped judging.
    Some people legimitely appear to think that if you start on a superbike you should be eliminated from society with all evidence of your existence wiped out. That turns into censorship SO fast that I don't even want to THINK about going there.

    • @CoolinwithJay
      @CoolinwithJay  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yeah its weird how the community thinks like that it's like they put a horse and a bike in the same category like it can have a mind of its own and throw you off.. sure jumping on a wild horse I'd probably a bad idea but a motorcycle you have 100% control over no differently than a car.... mustangs are called crowd killers and they arent the most powerful or fastest but my biggest argument is there are waaaayyyy to many variables that go into a motorcycle crash and trying to say it was because of how power the bike is or was is small minded if you jump on a bike and take your first corner to fast you might low side.... why... cold tires.. was that because it was a 1000cc or this or that no it doesn't matter the bike because most bikes in most situations will low side or high side if anything bikes with more rider aids bring down that percentage... so in that situation the power didn't save him but the electronics that 1000cc bike had did....

      @@CoolinwithJay congrats Jay and I mean it, I've always longed for a bike like this even though you got it over 2 years ago. I don't understand why the community is so toxic either and the above comment is right especially towards the bottom. It's like once you start on a Superbike, you deserve every bit of pain that'll come to you and that you should be wiped out from existence or something

    Hei Jay! Great video! How is your overall experience after 1 year? I have a vrod (Harley) and I am trading it in for a Ducati. I did test ride the V4S from MotoCorsa. I am 5’10” but in the 30 mins ride I felt two issues: 1. I was feeling too much hunched over (partly due to the riding style changed). But MotoCorsa told me that there is clipons which may help. Any suggestion on this?
    2. When I am riding I was having hard time looking at the street, not sure if it is for my helmet opening.
    Do you think the clipons can address both of these? Not bothered about heat as my vrod is full on oven 🤣.
    Btw I have reserved for V2 Bayliss. But still not sure whether V4 or V2 Bayliss. Any thoughts?

    My current ride is a 300cc single cylinder bike and I am thinking of buying a Ducati Panigale V4. I don't have much of an experience on litre class bikes but am well versed with 650cc tourers. I know this is a stupidity but do you think I will be able to ride a V4? Or will it be an overkill for me?

    • @kleinbottled79
      @kleinbottled79 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Didja buy it? Beautiful bikes. If you are well versed on any motorcycle you can ride a liter bike no problem. I've ridden a few including the V4S. They aren't hard to ride. That said, they are overkill on the street period. Overkill on the track for 95% of riders. But I'll probably buy one too someday because they are awesome. Happy on a cbr600rr for now. Fast enough.
