I think it has to do with all the resolutions. I read somewhere that it takes time to get all the different resolutions uploaded or formatted or whatever it is the software hast to do when you post a new video. Bottom line is it just sometimes takes extra time for some people to be able to view videos sometimes. it's a Voodoo TH-cam does I guess sorry brother thanks for watching😂❤
Nice video. I'm a heavy user of .17WSM here in Pennsylvania due to similar caliber restrictions. I had one of the later generation B.MAG rifles that shot great, but the magazines broke through very normal use and it became frustrating. Wish they'd went with a different magazine design. One recommendation for you is the Glades Armory bolt handle/knob. Huge difference and won't interfere with the Wraith.
One of my GUNSMITH KINKS volumes taught me that full length bedding of pencil barrels benefit from hanging 10# of weight 1 foot infront of stock to pre-load barrel. My WSM has a HB SS barrel so all I only stiffened the forend.

Shot a few pigeons with the 15 grainers. Blows a silver dollar sized hole in the onside and nothing on the offside at 85 yards. Bullet construction supposedly compressed metallic powder and copper sleeved (vs plated). I shaped a large washer that it's thickness matched the groove width of the 3 cut at back of barrel and used center groove as location of using as a recoil lug. Used STEEL PUTTY to hold recoil "washer" in position. The rest of the forend got filled with ROCKITE to stiffen. QUITE pleased with the results.

I have a Savage heavy barrel stainless thumb hole laminated wood stock target modle in 17WSM that I found in a local gun shop 3 years ago. The first 200 rounds of any brand of ammo I fired through it were not great accurate, but after that, it shot the Federal, Hornady, and the 15gr Winchester ammo under an inch at 100 yards. I have not killed any coyote with it, but raccoons, skunks, crows, and ground hogs have all fallen to my 17WSM. For the last 2 years, finding any 17WSM ammunition has been very hard if not impossible. I hear that later in 2024, ammunition for it will be produced again, at least in limited amounts. So if you find any anywhere later next year, you better buy it.

.17 WSM is .17 HMR on steroids. Its a wonderful caliber. Ammo is starting to pop up here and there. I picked up 3 boxes at Walmart this week for $19.44 per box of 50. Not inexpensive.
Very cool rifles cw they pulled at me when first came out with that 25gr bullets bc heavyweight vs 17hmr in its 20gr hp. The 17wsm was base off a nail gun case lot of people say was mdes off the old 5mm rimfire
I've got an old Marlin model 917. I believe it was one of the early rifles in this caliber. I bought this thing before I got out of the Coast Guard in 1996, she's damn near 30.

What is the reason for bedding the barrel to the stock. I thought the barrel was suppose to be free floating I have seen people slide dollar bills between the barrel and the stock.
The reason to free float is because the stock moves with environmentals and heat possibly causing neg effect on poi and accuracy. But a poly olastic stock is far more stable plus not substantial on this rifle. So this combined with the very thin pencil barrel combining the two makes both more rigid. Dosent work every where but sometimes its a better option. A very thin barrel can whip substantially. Probably not so mych with a itty bitty 20-25g 17 cal pill...
I always really wanted one of these, ammo almost impossible to find now. Heading to the range, will watch rest of video when I get back- interested to see what you say about the known accuracy issues some had...

Put a BSA SUPER Mag optic on mine. Came to conclusion that that holdover points are no good for hunting precision applications. Suffices if willing to hit in general area if your attitude is 'it's only a varmint'.
Is there a video on assembly and disassembly of the Savage B-mag .17 WSM Bolt. It's fired great for years, but now having problems of not ejecting after discharge of round, and now having problems of no discharge of the the round as if the firing pin isn't hitting the cartridge hard enough, there's a light indentation on each round, seems the firing pin isn't hitting hard enough. I took the bolt apart and did a detailed cleaning, only fire when the pin hits the cartridge hard enough, but is now ejecting properly when it finally does fire. I'm thinking I put it back together wrong, or does the accutrigger have something to do with hammer hitting the firing pin hard enough???
Awwh a cartridge/caliber class I've zero experience with. Can't say I'm sure I know why. Maybe if it had been around back in the day when I was knee deep in Prarie dog towns daily. It wasn't around then. Then my choices was the good ol 22 cci stinger in both marlin m 60, and ruger 10/22. But far the most bang was the Remington m 700 all chambered in .222 Remington. By far the most accurate with both factory rifle, and ammunition combo I ever owned. You'd be surprised the with it. Mountain man
.17 WSM is legal and popular among some hunters on the coast here for small deer. Those few I've spoken to were very happy with the performance. Others consider it unethical? Time will tell I guess. Thermals and night hunting is not legal. Thermals and "Protection of Livestock at Night" may be although I've never met anyone who has mentioned it?
I watched this last night, but got busy and couldn't leave a comment. We can hunt coyotes anytime here. They're pretty dominate just past my property. I think the 2 kinds of night vision is Thermal and infared. Other than that, I have no idea or experience.
Hello James! If ya know me at all, you will know that Im a 22 Mag guy to the core. But I have found this WSM will out preform our beloved 22 Mag on Coyotes. Esp the 25g loading. Im in New England so not talking long shots that 25g bullet @ 2500 fps impacting lungs is devastating! I haven't lost many to the 22 Mag under same but you can see difference on impact.
Very nice cartridge. When it came out I was interested but then reports were up & down on accuracy. Looks like you've solved any issues. A little faster than the 22wmr but would be great on coyotes , foxes & groundhogs. Hope you get to shoot them soon. Take care. 🙏 👍 🇺🇸💥

Yes the HMR is a 22 Mag size Case. The WSM is noticeably larger diameter.

Have you noticed if you load the cartridge with the safety on, it will not fire.

Really! Factory stuff? Somethings going on like me, my issue is extractor. Cases come out easily with rod.
@@cw2a Same here, cases come easy but not with the bolt. Same ammo ran fine in my Ruger American 5.56.
I saw in the local mom & pop shop today, 100 CASES of Winchester 20gr. 1000 box's of 50, $25.00 each. that hurts.

Just Before 2020 I ordered and received a few boxes of 15g.
