The Stock of the Day is Appen (APX)

Appen (APX) has reported that Google will terminate its service with all of its projects by 19th March. Representing almost 30% of Appen's revenue, that about $82.5M in 2023! Appen has assured its stakeholders that it will adjust its strategic priorities accordingly and will provide further information on 27th February. What do our experts, David Lane from Ord Minnett and Daniel Ortisi from Stock Doctor, make of this news? Daniel is NOT a fan, saying that it's not making money and is losing clients, so while there may be a bounce in the price soon, it's definitely not one that he'd want to have much to do with. David's agrees with Daniel, so even though there has been some success in new markets, it's probably not enough... So will it be a buy, hold or sell?

i reckon fundies are driving up the price even though they know Appen is going to do a capital raising at 1.00 a share .as they will run out of cash in under 12 months ..i sometimes wonder if they are cutting a deal IE we will drive the price up as long as you give us x amount of share ???

APX is just a glorified body hire company.
They are a technology company in much the same way that Domino’s is a technology company.
