Bought this yesterday! We have been looking and researching for 18 months. What sold it for me was the view from the recliner, campsite view, rear view & TV straight across from you. So much storage…. Unbelievable! There is no wasted space. Will be picking it up in a week and already ordered my shower miser water saver to keep gray tank at a minimum. Ty for your reviews, they are very well detailed!
This is absolutely the best arranged TT I have ever seen , t I love the walk through bathroom and kitchen, it’s all just perfect I could live full time in it, thanks so much for showing it ,
Ditch the oven and add a microwave/convection oven. Electric stabilizer jacks would be nice, upgrade the main entrance steps to door style steps. Replace door windows with clear glass. Love everything else.
Ok, here's Uncle Gary's wish list. These are by NO means complaints. As Josh knows, I'm in love with this model. It's more of a "These things would make an awesome trailer even more awesomer!" list. Electric stabilizer jacks (Or even auto level, but I have a feeling that if the Cougar 22mls is too small for them, well....). Slam latch cargo doors. Convection microwave. Morryde suspension. Slightly bigger bathroom sink. Clear windows in the doors, with shades. Of course, a lot of these things, I'd just do after purchase. Just thinking out loud. Lol. The two things that you mentioned as possible drawbacks, aren't for us. I'm 6"2 260 lbs, and a queen bed has always been fine for me. We like the walk through bathroom. It tends to allow for more square footage, and it's like having an en suite, as opposed to having to walk the length of the trailer at 2:00 a.m. (Damned prostate! 🤣) Another bonus I saw someone mention once: if you're a night owl, married to an early riser, you can close both those sliding doors, for some pretty decent soundproofing! If someone was really handy, it wouldn't be too hard to make some nice little wooden doors for those open cubbies in the bathroom (Actually, I think I saw a review of another brand of trailer that had the same little nooks, but WITH doors. Wish I could've kept this short, but, well, that wouldn't be me.. 😂 😂 😂 This is a gorgeous couples trailer, and Grand Design is a great brand. Definitely on my short list. Cheers! 🇨🇦
Actually I don't think your wants list is too out of line. TY Gary! Sorry it took me so long to get to this one! I'm sure you saw your comment posted at the start :)
Whoa 😳😳😳 Glamping times 💯🔥🤔 Pizza Oven, Perfect Pantry, Camp side Dinette, 8cft fridge and theater seating! Beautiful camper and under 7k pounds empty!
The Transcend 231rk is practically the same floorplan from Grand Design and is amazing! Trade off being a “stick & tin” but you get full rack & pinion slide with the same amazing kitchen.
This is a really practical floorplan and it works for all the reasons you identified. Only criticism I would make is the microwave is a little too high for a short person like me, but that's the case for many trailers.
I have a Sol Horizon by Intech that I LOVE, but I'll tell you that if we ever decide to go bigger, this one is definitely high on the list! If we did go bigger, we don't want to go TOO big. I like having a smaller rig. But this floorplan is perfect! Separate bedroom, sleeping for a 3rd person, plenty of room for adults and animals to move around, I don't think you'd feel cramped in here on a rainy day... and I personally love the walk through bathroom! I'd love to try one of these for a weekend to see how it compares to my Sol!
Uncle Josh………I agree. They “nailed it” on this one. It is indeed awesome. While our needs are a bit different, this one has a great floor plan. This is a viable option over a fifth wheel travel trailer for those not interested ( like me ) in acquiring a larger tow vehicle. Very nice Josh!!!!
So glad you got around to this one, thought for sure it would make your last list of best couple's trailers but sure it will for 2023. Love this unit & was first time my wife immediately said 'yep' after incessantly pestering her with touring different rv's LOL. Thanks again for another fantastic review Josh!

@@JoshtheRVNerd I found it! I rewatched the section that covers the AIM.. but must ask, the new Solo series from Keystone, any chance you will hit those?
Just did the paperwork on our unit yesterday. Apparently we were the 3rd family to buy this model at our dealership in the same day! Got a great deal as part of the Harrisburg PA RV Show. Can’t wait to take delivery after our tow vehicle gets outfitted 🎉. Love your videos
💗 Someone was thinking! Absolutely love all the storage - The kichen & Bathroom sinks were NOT an afterthought as so often they are. This camper is in the running for sure!
We have this in a 2022 model. A few minor things. The heat, massage, and light buttons on the recliners turn on when you don’t want them too. You can get aftermarket covers. It is a pain when you get up to get a beverage and come back to a hot seat! The other problem is the thermostat. With the slide in, you cannot access it or read it. We find that getting the trailer ready for a summer trip, we want to turn on the AC for comfort but don’t need the slide out. It would be better if the thermostat was over the dinette or elsewhere. We had to replace the AC breaker on day 1 and had to help the slide in once but everything has been great!
Brother Josh, I love the fact that you give an honest review, both the good and not so good, thank you. I really like the anesthetics of this camper. However after having a bad experience with rear kitchens, I would prefer it if they had reversed the kitchen and bed/bath rooms. And yes, I know I am in the minority.
I’m not a rear kitchen fan either, just wonder if anyone has experience with the refrigerator in the slide out? I spend a lot of time in the kitchen, and use every bit of my cupboard space. This is a nice trailer and 1/2 ton towable a plus.
Hey Josh, yeah, you know me! LOL! Nice looking model here; 1st time I have ever seen or heard about this one.....will have to step up and see this one in person! Thank You Josh, for filming this model! ~Lou
We have a GD 2600RB and LOVE it! That sliding under bed storage box is in our house basement. I purchased some plastic totes that fit perfectly in the compartment and hey are more practical. We have way more storage than 2 people need. I can't believe how costly these travel trailers have become (and cars too for that matter). We paid under $30,000 for our 2021 model in the fall of 2020.
Love seeing this review. We just purchased a 2022 23LDE last week. We LOVE IT! We really wanted a campsite dinette. The kitchen is large and well equipped. Love the 12v fridge. Can’t wait to try it boondocking. We won’t get to camp until the spring, but it makes a great new driveway getaway! The dog loves the sofa/recliners. Thanks for your videos!
That's the one. It's perfect. It has everything we are looking for and nothing we don't want. I would like a better bathroom vent fan and maybe more solar panels but other than that, this one is perfect.
@@JoshtheRVNerd She loved it. We signed today and will be picking it up next week. An interesting thing, this was a second unit because the first one sold before we walked back to the bargaining table after the walk through. The dealer said that they cannot keep them in stock. I appreciate the insight video. You nailed it!
Nice layout, for sure. Some little things I wish was changed, like to a plywood floor and it may only be the camera angle but those gray and black outlets seem a little low to the ground. One last thing, this is my personal preference, I don’t care for the Color of the cabinetry. My wife and I prefer the white ish farmhouse Colour. Thank for another great video that is helping us find our next RV.
Thanks for the warning about the light action for aggressively folding the laundry -- listening to this while at work and had fun trying to explain why I was laughing so loud!
Love this one. I love the steps (I park in a storage lot, so if I need to get into the camper, I have to hook it up and pull forward just to get into it because of stable steps). Love the storage in the bedroom. Tiny microwave! Why don't travel trailers use convection microwaves? I'd sacrifice a little storage for a good microwave. I've never used my oven, all our meals are cooked over an open fire and I can probably find a photo of me standing over the fire holding an umbrella so the fire doesn't go out and the food doesn't get wet.
Kitchen setups in many RVs are pretty traditional to the point of nearly being outdated. I suspect we're going to start seeing things like air fryers and toaster ovens in future models.
I am a Grand Design Fan!! Very well made campers. I've got a Reflection 260RD which is a 5th wheel 150 series. My previous camper was a 26" travel trailer that had a rear kitchen and I wouldn't recommend a rear kitchen, nor would I go with one again. The bumpiest ride of the trailer is the rear and if you have cupboard full of pots, pans, cans of food, etc. and you hit a few bumps - yikes. It's not pretty. Just something to consider. My stove top popped off the oven on occasion. We learned the bad spots on our journey - the hard way. Dishes, pots and pans ended up dented, scratched and sometimes broken. I highly recommend not having the kitchen in the rear. But I will admit, it can be appealing as far as the floor plan goes. If you have nothing but smooth roads - go for it!
The problem here is that you seem to have 'free range' dishes. We have clear plastic storage bins we tuck all the food, can goods, cereal etc. in them. Nothing moved all the way from New England to Yellowstone. Under the sink we have camp pots stacked. Again nothing moved. We are, however, looking for a bigger RV since we've outgrown our little Winnebago Minnie. No way I would put up with the inconvenience of a walk through to the bedroom bathroom. Whomever designed that has never been camping.
Another beauty! I love the passthrough bathroom, so convenient to close the bedroom door for company. I'm not sure why they put bed in front where the action is????? (I mean the action outside 😃.) But I'd still love it if no slides (I don't trust in torrential Florida rains). Thank you, Josh! 😻
I love this travel trailer but here is one little thing I noticed. The thermostat is on the wall near the slide, therefore with the slide in you will not be able to start up the AC! Here in Texas we need to run the AC in summer when getting the trailer ready for a trip to load up etc. So you will have to make sure you the space to put the slide out.
You missed a Roxette reference at 2:43, but as Harry Dunne would say, "You totally redeem yourself!' with the Steven Tyler and Naughty by Nature plug. Well played! Awesome looking unit, I like that axle spacing. This definitely has the Grand Design quality from tip to tail! Thanks for sharing!
Josh I watch your videos several times a day. You provide an outstanding service to us RV buyers. I only wish I lived close enough to you to buy at your dealership.
This RV has an amazing floorplan! You know how I prefer Murphy Beds, but this floorplan allows for so much room to move around in. Great design. Take care, Josh!
I really still appreciate the rear kitchen in 5he Cougar 22MLS , al5hough this Imagine is very well designed and And also an Excellent Layout/Floorplan 😊😊👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
This is great! Only option I'd love to see is having a slightly bigger entertainment setup instead of dinette! Or, somehow incorporate at least a 40 in size tv and access to a sound bar location possibly!
This is a very nice unit. Good floor plan everything is well positioned and executed. I do not like the draw pulls, looks like it would be easy to get caught on them. I agree with you on the open storage in the bath, they all need doors. Just a few small things.
I disagree on the claim that bathroom storage cubbies NEED doors. We have a 2021 Grand Design Transcend 261BH; same interior elements and open cubbies. They're as deep as the shower, so lots of storage AND easy access for an open box of facial tissues, clean towels, paper product storage, clean skivvies for after your shower, toiletry bags. In 2 years on some rugged roads nothing has fallen out, not unsightly, guests don't need to hunt behind doors for tissue, air freshener, hand lotion, etc. We think they're handy.
I would love for you to review the grand design imagine xls 22rbe, in looking online I think it looks like the best couples camper TT, I appreciate all your tall comments, very needed for a 6'5 husband
Love this unit! The only thing missing in this RV is my but on the theater seat! 😂🤣😂 I normally would pass on the walk through bath but it works for this model. This has the same GVWR as my Transcend 200MK so I absolutely agree with you on the 1/2 ton truck with a max tow package for pulling and stopping. Another Grand Design from Grand Design. Thanks Uncle Josh.
Thanks for reviewing this trailer. I wish they had extended the cabinets over the dinette to the rear door and it needs more secure steps on the rear door. I would also like to see them add the newer style of stabilizing jacks.
We currently own a Micro Minnie FLX 2108DS. Bought it as our very first RV for our new life of living full time as RVers. We are finding it's a wonderful rig, but just a BIT too small. We have our minds on the Grand Design and this rig video review came to us. We think this might be just the perfect set up for our full time life as a couple. I think it will be great to see something like this in person, first hand to review further. 🤩
I really like the layout and the cabinetry but for me there are a couple things that are a “no go”. First, there is no real suspension on this model. I’d have to add MORryde’s CRE 3000 and the heavy duty shackle kit before it left the dealership. The deal breaker though is their use of the Schwintek slide mechanism on that larger slide. You just did a video on the East West Alta version of this model and they use a rack and pinion slide mechanism which IMO is more appropriate. But this GD Imagine XLS looks much nicer style-wise inside.
@Josh the RV Nerd at Bish's RV I did see that review when you uploaded it. I'm not keen on the radius shower, being a bigger guy, a broad 6'4. But it is a good floorplan. I like the 23LDE just a little better. What is the sister to 23LDE? I think your reviews are the best. I look forward to what's new.
If someone is in the bedroom and wants to get out to the living area how do you do that when there is someone in the bathroom? This is a deal breaker for me.
I love this layout. Grand Design is absolutely making me a big fan. This one is making my list of possible replacement to my current trailer. Unless the wife gets her way and we go motorized! lol
I was checking out the lineup. I have to say that the 22RBE is almost the perfect one for me. I want a cal king (king is ok). So that that and put it in a 25, 27, or 29 ft and that would be $$. Im 6'4" and I love my cal king. Really wish the manufactures would make that an option because in every one with a king it could support a cal king.
hey hey hey Josh, Another great video. Keep on rockin them out of the park! I've seen other video's of this model, and now because of you it's confirmed YES you can get to the BR with slide in. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU......

This is its replacement: m.th-cam.com/video/5Z6C0E_AqJ4/w-d-xo.html
You missed a Roxette reference at 2:43, but as Harry Dunne would say, "You totally redeem yourself!' with the Steven Tyler and Naughty by Nature plug. Well played!
Awesome looking unit, I like that axle spacing. This definitely has the Grand Design quality from tip to tail!
Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for getting that out Josh, just picked ours up last week and the shake down cruise is this weekend! Perfect little weekend cabin on wheels....
Congrats!! Hope she treats you well!!
Josh I watch your videos several times a day. You provide an outstanding service to us RV buyers. I only wish I lived close enough to you to buy at your dealership.
wow TY!
This RV has an amazing floorplan! You know how I prefer Murphy Beds, but this floorplan allows for so much room to move around in. Great design. Take care, Josh!
4 months in and we love ours. I do envy the tankless water heater though, last years model didn’t have that.
TY Don. She's treated you well overall though?
I really still appreciate the rear kitchen in 5he Cougar 22MLS , al5hough this Imagine is very well designed and And also an Excellent Layout/Floorplan 😊😊👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
I tell ya... the rear kitchen in that new cougar 23MLE fifth wheel is a painfully underrated thing. That's a PHENOMENAL kitchen
Love the great and unbiased opinion you always provide
This is a great camper…nailed it😊
Yep Yep!
This is great! Only option I'd love to see is having a slightly bigger entertainment setup instead of dinette! Or, somehow incorporate at least a 40 in size tv and access to a sound bar location possibly!
Thx Jay!
Love ❤️ the dinette . This is a great floor plan it’s almost perfect.
Thank you! 🤗
Josh you out did yourself on this one. I've been looking for a half ton towable and it's got everything I'm looking for thank you.
This one is a monster for sure!
How about having an option of changing the Stove and microwave to the opposite side of the kitchen. I do like the layout and weight.
This is a very nice unit. Good floor plan everything is well positioned and executed. I do not like the draw pulls, looks like it would be easy to get caught on them. I agree with you on the open storage in the bath, they all need doors. Just a few small things.
I agree. I would change every drawer and cabinet pull in the kitchen and bath
Bought last week. We love it!! Glad we came across this video!! SOLD!!!
Hope you enjoy it!
Your my fav. Keep up the fun and good work. I love this trailer.
Thanks! Will do!
Thanks Uncle Josh.
hahahaa
I always like this layout with the bathroom near the bathroom.
Wow, this unit has 2 bathrooms!!! 😂
I have the 2600RB.
I love it and is perfect for my wife and i.
Awesome! Thank you for sharing
Great floor plan.
I’d be curious to see how you feel when you get the chance
Great video as always, love this floor plan. Still wish there was some kind of outdoor kitchen.
I just don’t know where. You could fit one..
We love this floor plan and everything it has.. except worthy vent fans or even vent fan covers.
Installing fans in existing vents and adding covers is a pretty straightforward thing we do for folks regularly
Nice, add a King bed option and that is perfect. That rear kitchen is perfect, and the color scheme is really nice.
Yes!! GD needs to get those King beds!
I spoke with the Imagine designer - he's aware there's some call for King beds out there and is exploring ways to make it work
Love the kitchen space.
Really good floor plan. We decided on a 2024 R-pod 202, a lot of similarities. This LDE definitely maximizes storage
Perfect camping trailer.will be buying one soon. Love your videos. Keep them coming
Awesome! Thank you!
Love love this trailer!!!
It’s so good
I would move into this one tonorrow. Just let me pack my bags! Perfect for me!
Love this floorplan!! My wife and I have been eyeing lightweight, private bedroom campers and it would fit perfectly
Here’s something similar for comparison. Which do you prefer? m.th-cam.com/video/ISbyI4pMbHA/w-d-xo.html
@@scottr.9275 So far, nobody has copied it. I can't wait to see who does, and how.
Passes the pass thru bathroom test with the two exterior doors. Little light on cargo but workable. Could be fun.
22RBE video here btw m.th-cam.com/video/nNIGUUCF3Ps/w-d-xo.html
Love the look of this thing.
It's great :)
THANK you! Was so glad to have my thoughts on this one validated.
Good pick!
@@JoshtheRVNerd Finally did it. We take delivery of a 2024 23 LDE on Sept 1!
We have a very similar Imagine, and the open shelves in the bathroom are perfect for towels, and they don’t get musty.
My wife and I are ordering our 23LDE very soon!
Update:
Pulled the trigger today! Having some accessibility updates for my wife. We take delivery Friday!
Took delivery today!
This is the one we wanted before it even came out but we will stick to our 21’ Flagstaff until we see where gas prices go! Do love this one though!
hey hey hey Josh, Another great video. Keep on rockin them out of the park! I've seen other video's of this model, and now because of you it's confirmed YES you can get to the BR with slide in. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU......
My pleasure! Things like showing it used with the slide closed are viewer-submitted items. YOU help drive this channel! :)
Yeah you know me 🤣... I'm loving this model alot!!... Thanks Josh 👍🏿👍🏿💯🙋🏾
