      It works perfectly for one person, can make it work with 2 people but it can get cramped. Thank you for checking it out.

      Appreciate it. It has 2” foam insulation on the floor and the walls and ceiling are covered in 3m thinsulate insulation.

      @@JasonHelmandollar I would love to do the same & have one before I retire. Perfect retirement goals to hit the road anywhere, everywhere & live the van life traveling.

      I totally understand that man that’s my plan here in less than a year is to be in the van full-time. Since I made that video, I put a 28 gallon water tank under the bed so I have plenty of freshwater now.

      I might be a little biased but I think you should build one, amazing experience. The travel is a bonus.

    Nice small van that offers a lot on rams smallest wheelbase. I’m building a 2026 159 ext 3500 super high roof for me and my wife end of this year, I like those ikea slats are they pretty strong no flex? What did you use for the wall paneling I see it used often?

    • @JasonHelmandollar
      @JasonHelmandollar  26 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      We see the super high roofs at work a decent amount and it’s crazy how much ceiling room there is. Yea the ikea slats are very sturdy, you need the mounting clips for them which ikea doesn’t sell by themselves so you can get them on Amazon. I used ship lap for the walls and I used 3m thinsulate for the insulation. I know someone that has a 118” wb and they love it for them but i wanted something a little bigger so i got the 136. My next one will be a 159 I believe.

    You did an amazing job, I love it. I have a 2023 Promaster 118” that I’m “building” out but it won’t end up looking as professional as that for sure. It’s more of a semi-build/no-build. I’m very impressed with your work. 👍. Subscribed and feel free to come see mine.

    • @JasonHelmandollar
      @JasonHelmandollar  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Appreciate the view and sub. I will certainly check your channel out. Nothing wrong with it being a semi/no build, all that matters is your happy with it and it works for your needs.

    Nice and open space! i'm starting my build on my 136wb and it's difficult to find tours of the smaller vans. Would you be able to share what size mattress you have and the rough dimensions of your kitchen counters? (I'm trying to figure out what size appliances like sink, fridge, and oven/range to have). The fans and solar panels look like a tight fit with the roof rack, did you just luck out with the rack being able to fit around the fans? Again, thanks so much for sharing your tour even if you don't have time or want to answer these questions!

    • @JasonHelmandollar
      @JasonHelmandollar  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I will always make time to answer questions. I know I had a million when I started. It’s a fullsize memory foam mattress I ordered off Amazon. My lower kitchen counters are actually standard size kitchen counters for a home kitchen. The solar panels are 200 W apiece so they are actually quite a bit bigger than the hundred watt solar panels so depending on what you are using, you may have a lot more room. The side rails going down was actually a pretty tight fit for the 200 W solar panels And the track bars are movable. You can put them in any position. If you were using 100 W solar panels, you would have plenty of room in the middle of the van. I used sheets of butcher block that were 25”deep and 6 foot wide and cut down the width but the depth worked perfect with no cutting on the standard size kitchen cabinets.

    Great build! What did you use for insulation for the sides, roof and floor?

    • @JasonHelmandollar
      @JasonHelmandollar  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Appreciate that. I used 3m thinsulate insulation for the walls and ceiling, it’s a little pricey but well worth it in my opinion. I framed the floor in with 2x2s and used 2” foam board. I won’t lie to you and tell you in the winter that the van floor is toasty warm but it’s certainly not as cold as it could be.

      Greetings. I have a really good buddy that lives in the Houston area and he didn’t fare so well from that hurricane hopefully it didn’t affect you too much. The upper cabinets are from Veritas vans. They ship them to you flat and you build them yourself. The lower cabinets are actually just from Home Depot. Just some cheaper cabinets and I just painted them. I definitely wanna make it to your state in the van sometime. Do you have any recommendations on where I should go?

      Appreciate it. The van is insulated with 3m thinsulate throughout the walls and ceiling and the floor is framed in and has 2” foam board insulation. I’m actually going to be putting a window on the slider that flips out and has a screen and a shade on it.
