GOOD MORNING AMERICA'S HOMEPAGE:
gma.yahoo.com/
"I wouldn't say that I'm a better surfer than anyone, but I actually work really hard." I just cannot believe that a 7 year old girl could say something so mature. She's already figured it out. She's going to make it, 100%.
She so lucky when I was her age I had to milk the cows, weed the garden, feed the animals and prepare the dough for next days bread before I was allowed down the beach.lol Some kids just have all the luck.
+cabbage man what are you talking about, you sound very lucky as you had many (farm) animals I'm guessing. I've always wanted animals like that, I can dream for now...
It's not about the possibilities that one have as a child but to know what she wants to do from such a young age. That's remarkable
She's an Old Soul, I think.
For sure, that's good parenting. No need to compare herself to anyone. Just let her surfing do the talking.
so thats what a kid with encouraging parents can do
It's she who is extra ordinary not her parents
oh really? so you think if her parents slept in instead of taking her to surf on weekends she'd have gone as far as she has?
molon labe the kids with encouraging parents are bad mouthed usually. jk ;)
and a bit of privilege helps
Diane, your a fuckin moron. Did you see her house? Was nothing special, lower middle class at best. I agree that encouraging parents are a huge factor in her success though... that’s different than the meaning of societal privilege though.
She's 7 and already more beautiful than I'll ever be...
Perhaps you should start by changing your name?
Makeup IsLife so true
Makeup IsLife I hear ya! She's totes gorgeous 💜💚
Makeup IsLife realy this video is about her talent has a surfer and here you are only caring about her bauty
Her profile pic is a singer from 5H I believe guys, not her actual face.
"Children are just one caring adult away from success" good to see parents letting this girl follow her dreams
I so agree with this statement. So much God given or natural talent is wasted b/c no caring adult, parent or other person of capabilities/means is paying attention & guiding their own children or others to success. I see if everyday. Our world's travesty, not putting effort into our next generations.
So True🤙
yes, and a bit of wealth and privilege helps too
Diane Kerrison that doesn’t make any sense. you can see that she loves surfing. even if she was poor she would still be out there surfing the same
th-cam.com/video/4LBLSkQF4Hw/w-d-xo.html : ( What do you know about the Volleyball game ? ).
When she grows up she will be pretty damn good
Colonel Cringe same thoughts 😄
I just wrote her name down in my "surfers to watch" file so I'll know her when she's out there winning the big events.
Colonel Cringe and damn pretty
Colonel Cringe
She appears to be pretty good already 😄
I love the fact that she is the one who wants to do this, and not her parents wanting it. that's really nice.
th-cam.com/video/4LBLSkQF4Hw/w-d-xo.html : ( What do you know about the Volleyball game ? ).
"it's the connection with the water". She definitely gets it.
water gives me peace of mind. just saying haha

What a little Aussie legend.
Her face's resemblance to Emma is uncanny
ShahzDane shes so cute
You beat me to it
Mitch VId emma watson
Hi
She's pretty.
What a beautiful, talented and humble young lady!
If Cara delevingne and Emma Watson had a baby
Talia Hass if they had a baby it would be the most beautiful being
Talia Hass yep definitely Emma Watson daughter
Little boy in dress. Wake up. Ronda rousey, 7 beckham
Lol... can see it.
@@leonieburnham322 same as this bullshit eco friendly 'girl' sailing to usa. Little boy with pigtails
Oh god and here I've been lying in bed all day eating peanuts :(
If you didn't almost choke yourself eating peanuts then you are doing better than a former U.S. President.
😍
ChelseaTXY atleast its peanutd
ChelseaTXY this just made me laugh! Haha
peanuts, what an odd choice
At 7:36 the way the mom looks at the dad when he's saying he doesn't care if she is a world champion or not.
SpearRegins lolololol
CLASSIC!!! I caught that too... Mom was like, "WTF...I been draggin' this little squirrel down to the beach at 7am for 3 years now... She better damn well be winning Pipeline & gettin' those endorsements when she grows up!!!" LOL... "Now Go Get Me My Fuckin' Coffee!!! lololol
lol It's just a joke but I caught that too XD
That bitch probably had been dragging her into the beach since she was 4 until she knew nothing but surfing because the mom always wanted to. It happens a lot lately with these "naturally talented" children and i would not be amazed if she gets skin cancer before hitting 16 or stopped surfing because she always hated it
c o n c h e t u m a r e CLEARLY you didn't bother to watch the video, just jumped in with arsehole remarks. This is ALL HER.
was expecting a squirrel on a surfboard leaving disappointed
its a joke...😐
Shaun Crawford TRIGGERED
Lighten up Chipmunk!
illusionarytactic 😂😂😂😂
illusionarytactic I thought the same cos I didn't read the title clearly at first 😂
I love her and her parents. She's just like I'm not better than anyone else, I just work really hard. She has no fear, only ambition. And her parents are just really impressed by her focus and drive, and they're also just like, we don't care what she decides to do in life, as long as she's happy :) That made me happy. #LifeAndFamilyGoals
th-cam.com/video/4LBLSkQF4Hw/w-d-xo.html : ( What do you know about the Volleyball game ? ).
The kid sure is a genius, and the parents are themselves gifted with awesome parenting skills for recognizing that genius at such an early age. Best of success for this team.
th-cam.com/video/4LBLSkQF4Hw/w-d-xo.html : ( What do you know about the Volleyball game ? ).
Shit, I didn't even know how to ride a bike at 7.
Lol
So true! Same here
I'm dutch so i rode a bike when i was born🙋🏼😂
I learnt to ride at 4 bit I probably practiced more commonly
I’m 11 I still can’t...
She doesn't look 7
Does not look 7. Startling mature.
She talks like she's 7
She's now 12
Quincy is now 8 :)
Y'all dumb this was 2010 when she was 7 now she's 14
I hope my kid grows up just like this.. but mainly the getting the car ready and fixing my coffee for me part
😂😂😂
My are all grown up now. Hope you have better luck with that than we did. lol
131rocketman hahaha!!
Wonderful that she has such a strong work ethic to improve upon her gift.
th-cam.com/video/4LBLSkQF4Hw/w-d-xo.html : ( What do you know about the Volleyball game ? ).
love the fact of how down on earth and focused she is!
This child! She's AMAZING Can't get over her character, hard work, and passion for water.
that aussie freckled beauty will take the world by storm in her teens,as a father myself,im so jealous of her dad finding such a mutual love to share with his daughter, what a inspiration, she will be a success what ever she decides to do
What a precious and beautiful little soul! With her gentle way of speaking and calm manner combined with an explosive internal power to succeed is what makes a phenomenal superstar, she is one in the making! Bravo!
To love something so much and be that committed to it at such a young age, she is something special.
What wonderful parents 'Flying Squirrel' has. It is, no doubt, that Quinicy is able to chase her dreams because of them. To be loving parents is one thing, but to be so supportive requires a tremendous amount of time, energy and devotion. There should be an award for them!
Thank you :)
It's nice to see such supportive parents... who knows what the world would be like if all families were like that. If my parents had been like hers I'd most likely be both a high schooler and an author.
Kudos for her parents that encourage her interests and recognize she's just a kid and her interest in surfing may change. All the hard work to prepare for surfing can be transferred to anything.
wow, it`s not her surfer skills that are amazing- it`s her focus! I mean, for a 7 year old that`s...well, incredible! She is not waiting for someone to put things in front of her- she goes out and makes it happen! That part, where she woke up before her mom, did research and knew where she wanted to go! I wish I showed so much initiative about things when I was growing up...instead I messed around a lot, without properly understanding how to things and not trying enough to make them work! This is some precious child!
Thank you
She's a talented and brave little soul.
Damn with that natural talent, work ethic, supportive parents & determination, she is gonna go far for sure!
What a special young girl... Its nice when passion and skill come together!
we need more special girls like this, just like this! fearless and determined!
There are a lot. It's just that most of them get ignored.
Wish I could surf every day or just live near the coast. Grew up 40 ks from surf and the only kid in my high school that did it.
pweter351 i can relate with you mate and my dads pretty strict about me surfing. he kinda hates me doinh it
Phantomhive715, why is that?
***** he thinks it dangerous and he worries too much
pweter351 ugh I live in Minnesota so the closest I get to an ocean is when the snow melts😂😂
I live in fucking Germany so haha..
Omg she's adorable!!!
She looks older than me ..
She is just a delight 🌈🌟
OK, I'M DEFINITELY HER FAN!
THIS BABE ROCKS!!!
GO QUINCY!
She as a better hobby than the majority of kids today. Lease she isn't a zombie sitting in front of a TV playing video games for 8 hours.
I understand what your saying and I agree, but some of those zombies make a fortune
Benoit ok boomer
Benoit ikr I like video games but u love surfing to and biking and reading and drawing. Tho I do like video games thi
I have just tried surfing for the first time and it truly is hard work. I just wish i had an ocean closer, too. Wishing her all the best...

She knows what she loves, and has the support around her to make it happen. Freaking amazing kiddo, and amazing adults who encourage her!
All Parents need to encourage their children to be the best they can be ... it makes all the difference in the world in a child’s life 💕
She's only 7!!!!!!!!! I'm 13 and I can barely doggy paddle or even stay above the water😂😂😂😂❤
Pls don't stop girl, u will go far

Wow you are so awesome, keep the stoke alive Flying Squirrel. I'm sure we'll be seeing you at Chopes and all your other dream breaks before too long. Kia Kaha little shredder.
so special! would love to meet her and talk and have a surf session! so cool. I think she will turn pro! when she grows up
Quincy you are a role model. You work hard to achieve your dreams. Stop once in a while and thank your parents, too for encouraging you to achieve your dreams. May your dreams always bring a smile to your face!
What a beautiful family relationship and story. Quincy is truly an inspiration. She is humble but also acknowledges that she deserves the enjoyment the ocean brings and this requires passion and love.
I learned how to surf as a young pre-teen then gave it up because I became easily discouraged/kept comparing myself to others who were better than me and made a million of other excuses not to go.... In the back of my mind surfing was always something I wanted to get good at but had just failed to put in the required effort and time.... Now at 24 yrs old I surf almost everyday in some of the best surf beaches of Southern California and it is the best feeling. I will never stop. I have acquired the love for the deep blue which won't ever go away.
She is really amazing! Already a great and positive role model for the kids across the globe (especially little girls). I genuinely hope she will follow her dream despite all the bigotry, hatred, meninists/MRAs and other hurdles on her way. Best wishes to Quincy Symonds!
th-cam.com/video/4LBLSkQF4Hw/w-d-xo.html : ( What do you know about the Volleyball game ? ).
At first I thought it was a young Clara Delevingne, anyone else?!😂
Sydney Horton *Emma Watson and Clara Delevingne combined
Mike Pearson yea😂
Her dad looks as much like Emma or Clara as she does.
Cara****
who's clara delevingne? I only know cara delevingne :/
What a seriously awesome kid and awesome parents.
What a sweet, intelligent, kind and courageous little girl.
Great video. You can watch surfing endlessly.
th-cam.com/video/4LBLSkQF4Hw/w-d-xo.html : ( What do you know about the Volleyball game ? ).
All these comments about how beautiful she is... It's no wonder woman are so objectified in our culture. She's a 7 year old people! Let's put emphasis on what's important. Her devotion to the sport of surfing and her unrelenting drive and ambition! And kudos to her amazing parents as well for raising such a fierce independent warrior.
Thank you for your comment! Finally someone who understands the purpose of this video
Cpt.AirWolf the comments aren't about objectifying her, they're just compliments which clearly you can't recognise because you don't get any
This girl is beautiful. That's because she probably eats good and obviously works out a lot without even knowing she does. If people would eat better, work out more and drink more water, they definetly will become more "beautiful".
But of course the Video isn't about a *beautiful* 7 year old surf girl. No it's only about a 7 year old surf girl. So i get how your thought of objectification came up. But you forgot about something. People who are beautiful get more attention. (that's probably why they took a good picture of her in the thumbnail) so of course People would comment stuff about her beauty. Her beauty gets attention. I don't think that it is Bad.
It would be Bad if all the attention would Focus on her beauty and nobody Sees the Surfer girl, the talented girl, the determined girl. But for now it doesn't and therefore i would say that you are overreacting.
Although i'm happy that There are People, like you @Cpt.AirWolf fighting for her to still be seen at what she truly is.
A flying squirrel
Be determined, Make your dreams become reality and be thankful for everything you have:)!
Cpt.AirWolf
Thank youuu!
Cpt.AirWolf - The beauty is the whole package: the determination, the courage, the skill, the discipline, the balance, the coordination, the ballet, the enthusiasm, etc., all packaged in a little girl. What's wrong with that? Or do you have a dirty mind?
Truly a gifted child....go girl...you'll fly sky high...God bless.
I love seeing heaps of passion at a young age for something that is challenging. Not enough of this in the young generations.
Wish I was 8 again!
such a beautiful girl
Awesome parents and she has great work ethic. I expect to see her in a few years making big news.
Amazing kid. Parents should be so proud.
2:10 That is so true.
Oh it makes me so so sad!!! First of all she is so beautiful! Then second point, she makes me jealous. Thirdly she has a goal and she is surfing from a young age. I never started a sport or started playing an instrument. She is getting better and better over the years. I have nothing like that. I wish I started something at a young age so that I could be professional. It makes me cry all the time when I see a little girl or boy doing the things they love and the things they're passionate about.
its never too late to try, some sports may be harder but there are plenty of other sports where age does not matter that much. be prepared to put in the hard work though, its not going to be easy
Never too old, just get out there and 'just do it '😉
My goodness what an adorable little girl!
that is one driven little young lady shes going places you watch !
Would everyone stop talking about her looks and focus on her talent. She's seven, and already the comments surround the subject of her appearance. Its these kind of attitudes that lead to women athletes not being taking as seriously or discriminated against. Let alone the fact she's a bloody child.
women athletes are not taken seriously, cause the general public doesn't give 2 shits about female sports...just look at the WNBA..haha..or pretty much any female sport...only time a female is taken seriously is when the also have beauty...
"ok finally something to actually do with someone" lol
I started at 4 also in 1966.Now I have a daughter that surfs too.Its a great blessing.
What awesome parents. Thank you on her behalf. Keep up the good work and you will all win.
Cara Delevingne and Emma Roberts love child
Emma Watson
Two girls don´t make a baby.
Quincy,....you're a beautiful girl....say a prayer for all of us "old adults, who are still looking for our 'reason'".
go for it Flying squirrel ...someones has to show the world :)
She is adorable! What a cool family.
she looks like 9 Years old
Can't wait to see the flying squirrel ripping at Pipeline!
She’s adorable. And so talented. Good luck, squirrel girl!
Admirable, indeed. Both her and her parents. Thank you for sharing these stories.
Top parents for letting her go down her pathway 🏄🏼♀️🐿 hehe
Looks like alex hayes!
ha who's he
Wow what an awesome girl. She’s doing big things at such a young age.
wish I had found my passion that young...I love to ski but I started when I was 13 and it's not like i can train every day seeing as I live so far from the mountains. So glad to see other kids living their best life and inspiring others
she used to be in harry potter?
If your thinking of Hermione or Emma Watson, its someone else. But they do look the same.
luntsie CHIIIIIILLL
no ,she looks like ema watson but she is not
3 points GGGREPHANDORE!!!!!
This is why the world hates news people 0:50 "A remarkable young girl from Australia who has somehow manage to become a surfing prodigy" SOME HOW! does, love, hard work and discipline have any roll in that? Thanks Brian for proving you just don't get it!
Voxel Lab quit bitchin
Voxel Lab it is a mystery, lots of other humans would work as hard and not achy what this remarkable 7, yes I said 7 year old has. Lots of 7 year olds barely cope with the demands of school. Enjoy the magic of an outstanding human.💕🇦🇺
A child who is a prodigy has something special that allows them to achieve things that other people could never achieve regardless of how much hard work they put into it!
She is very lucky to have great and supportive parents! Keep up the good work, flying squirrel!
She's just adorable and a wicked surfer too.
I've never heard of a girl named Quincy.
y'all already know who she looks like.
She is an incredible little girl. To get that good takes lots of time in the water and support from family. My daughter loves to swim and remember sitting by the pool watching her swim for hours everyday. She would have an hour of swim class then two hours of swim team along with many hour just playing with friends.
Great to see parents encouraging and supporting their child's talent & passion, & amazing to see the result :)
