Astal is not that great...
I don’t think it has aged that well. With modern 2D platformers having more power to play with but back in the day it felt pretty epic
It was one of the worst Platformers on the console. Which isn’t saying much, because there were TONS of elite Platformers on the SS
Policenauts isnt 2D its 1D visual novel.marvel super heroes vs street fighter or sf alpha 3 is superior to marvel super heroes. outrunners over powerdrift cause outrunners is 2p...your list is decent but flawed only touched 2 rpg n 1 topdown shmup
Hear you on Policenauts but it’s still essentially 2D images. Agree on SFA3 and MSH Vs. SF, hence why they are so high on the list. I didn’t even realise Outrunners was on the Saturn?
Shmups, I actually don’t own that many, got more into the Dreamcast Shmups. What are the best ones? Also would be interested to hear other RPG’s you think should have made the list?
Wakenroder, black matrix, devil summoner, tangai makyo 4, linkle liver story, bomberman wars, grandia, shadow of the tusk,
Smhup- kingdom grandprix, shienryu, soukyugurentai, wolf fang, wonder 3, battle garegga, psychic assassin taromaru,
Honorable mention- princess crown
Thanks I’ll look some of these up, much appreciated.
@@thegamelounge659 dont remember youtuber name he has a 6pt series where he briefly highlites every saturn release
Wow, Saturn sure had some trash games... No wonder it failed!
I disagree, the Saturn had some fantastic games. I think it’s well documented why it failed. It was Underpowered an harder to develop for vs the PlayStation as well as some questionable management decisions but if you dismiss it you are missing out.
WTF? Magic Knight Rayearth and Super Tempo are not trash. Perhaps its your taste that's trash?
@@thegamelounge659 On the contrary, I believe that I have never read so much bullshit on the reasons for the failure (or not for that matter) of the Saturn. The reality is simpler than the difficulty of programming or technical considerations, it only comes down to one word: competitiveness.
@@thegamelounge659 missing out on trash doesn't bother me.
@GuilhermedeSantisO yeah, total power house. That's why it's the number 1 emulated device....oh wait...
I thought it’d be a better list🥹
Shame, would be interested to hear what you think should be in.
