I’m so glad I don’t have to transfer SH. My pool store fills my tank direct from their 14000 gal holding tank behind the store. I love your set up. I modified my setup after yours last year. Your channel has been my favorite and invaluable to Me. Thanks Joe for all you do on your channel!
if you want your downstream to last long get a small bucket and every time you are done using it put it in for a day and all you quick connects and the down stream will work every time you go use it . love the videos keep it up
Joe, great job. That is the one thing I don't like about my GX390 is fueling it up often. I would recommend maybe putting a rubber hose around the fuel line where it is rubbing on the skid (9:03). It could help prevent a leak caused by the vibration. Always great content brother!
@@powerfulimprovements I'll let you know... The tube to the carb on my unit isn't the easiest to get to.. Would rather avoid taking the entire thing apart 5o get access.
It has worked out great for me this season. I hope to improve upon it a little bit over the winter for next season. Plumb it a little better maybe get a tank with a gauge
Looking good Joe. Having 50-65 degree weather in White Bear Lake, MN so know it's possible to start already. Gets below freezing at night frequently so have to beware of the pump. Keep sling'n!
Love your videos buddy. Be very careful with that plastic tank a lot of states have strict policies on business vehicles and plastic gas cans. Something you might want to check into. Keep up the hustle you inspire a lot of guys!!
Old video so hopefully you'll see this? Did it work? I just purchased a skid from campump with loncin 390. I was wondering if it's possible to have a larger tank. My other thought was having an external tank elevated with a hose fill. Thanks again
You got one I can see where it is mounted to the unit ? I have a tiller in which I need to pull a MacGyver onto the tiller itself , bit thanks , because I will be doing this method on my tiller some how 🤔
joe as usual, you don't disappoint on videos!! I just got the Jason Geiman notification for tonight...His teaser looks like your joining....If so I'm excited and look forward to tuning in.
I’m having the hardest time finding the plug valve you installed into the gas tank. What would it be called or what can I google search to find it??? Thanks for the video!
When the sun hits it and Builds pressure it could blow the Petcock out Put some type of shade over top of it would definitely help. I can't bleave it didn't do it the first day it the sun I never put gas cans in Direct sunlight !!!!!
Thanks for posting this. Did you end up having any issue with the tank or engine after adding the aux tank? I have a gx200 water pump that I want to add an aux tank.
Great video brother. I have a honda pressure washer but small tank and it only last about an hour or so.It sucks when your on a roof cleaning coming down so many time. any ideas on mounting i would appreciate it and what size fuel line.thanks again.
This is a nice project, now I have a question. Could this be done to incorporate a stock gas tank? (I.E. 5-20 gallon stowed in truck with line feeding the stock gas tank through the cars body?)
The aluminum that the skid is made out of...is that regular square tubing? I’m a long ways away (Louisiana) so I may have to build my own. How much does a full skid cost?
How do you like those Husqvarna saws? I had a rebuilt Poulan that i paid 99 bucks for about 30 years ago and it just recently packed it in, need to get a new one. Supposed to get to almost 70 on Long Island this week, hopefully we can both sling some water!
Joe, I recently started having trouble with my machine running off the auxiliary tank with the fuel petcock and the inline filter. The machine would run sometimes, other times not. Occasionally it would run for an hour or so then quit. I figured out that the integrated filter on the petcock was just too restrictive, even though it was clean when I checked it. I ordered a couple more and cut off the filter. I still have my inkine filter in place. Haven't had any issues since.
I never do this so don’t get used to it www.amazon.com/192980GS-208961-462-03-S-13116/dp/B07JL794S4/ref=asc_df_B07JL794S4/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=309787044604&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=7678835990901743733&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=m&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9003270&hvtargid=pla-665115830077&psc=1
It would have been nice to see you force that screen into the grommet, very difficult without bending it or breaking it, you seem to have cut that part of the video out.
I’ve see where you can also drill a hole in the top of the can and insert a tire valve stem with the core removed for a vent. So that way at least you can screw the cap on and then have zero chance for spillage. Cool set up though. Givin me ideas 😂
I put the tire stem valves in all my 5 gallon gas cans so they pour better due to venting. Install the cap no leaks. I use the metal truck tire stem that has the rubber washers and nuts. The chrome ones. Works great
What brand spigot and where did you get it.....
yeah love it bro. I made a similar gravity fed bottle to replace my rusty fuel tank in my little two stroke scooter. Works awesome

Very happy you’ve found some value in it! ✌🏼❤️
That gives me a good idea to try on my truck so I can get it home. Thank you for the great idea.
You bet!
So glad I don’t have to use SH or any of the soft wash bs. I’m happy with my dual wand setup with the pressure washer.

Right on. Last year I was just throwing it in my buffer tank. But can’t reach all the way back there this year so small bucket would be a great idea
@@powerfulimprovements yeah it work great just don't leave it in there for more then 3 day or it will rust 1 day is all you need

Really appreciate the video. I'm doing the same modification to a water pump that I need to run overnight.
Simple right?
@@powerfulimprovements I'll let you know... The tube to the carb on my unit isn't the easiest to get to.. Would rather avoid taking the entire thing apart 5o get access.
I can definitely use this same idea for other things that are gas powered that don't have a fuel tank or to add a second tank.
That's a pretty simple and cheap way to go, great job. Keep it simple

1/4 line and just be sure it’s higher than the carburetor

Slowly but surely 💪🏼

I don’t see why not
Just use a Y fule splitter. That why you can connect the fuel line for both tanks and have both of them connect to the carburetor. That's what I did.
Hi Joe,
Where can I find that 3 way selector valve? Also what size was the new fuel hose line and the 3 barb on the selector valve?
