Great video I’m about to implement the exact same thing. We’re pretty close anyway. Just curious a year later how’s it working out? Also typically inverter generators don’t like the rain. Any issues with leaving that out in the rain ?
If you do this on a generator that has a vent pipe in the fuel tank, such as the Predator 3500, you have to pinch off the vent tube or use a shut off valve to keep gasoline from entering the vent line and spilling out on the ground.

I had to replace the cap with an aluminum one from e-bay. The gas deteriorated the JB weld on the other one and it started leaking.

I ordered the parts you had listed and the shut off is 1/4” nipple and the QD is 3/8”. What else did you add to make these connections work?
