+John Barley In books. There is one long story about a guy changed into hairy monster by some spell, living in huge empty palace in the middle of forest. But it was clearly 18+ version ;) like all in the Witcher series.
+The Elephant of Doom The Witcher both in games and books shows their version of famous fairytales, basically what would happen in certain tales were set in the Witcher's universe. For example there is a reference to Cinderella in the game, and Geralt says he know the actual version of the story: Cinderella was eaten by Zeugl, and the only thing that was left of her was her little shoe...
When the dwarf said: "Must've passed shortly before we found her." I nearly threw my controller across the room. I seriously thought Ciri was dead, and seeing Geralt's face when he believes Ciri is dead made me start to cry. But when she woke up, and there was the scene of the younger Geralt and Ciri running towards each other, I lost it. I woke my sister up because I couldn't stop crying.
Have to say that Geralt's face at 3:32 is the one frame that totally got me. How far have video games come, when you can express so complex with just one facial expression...Hands down the best scene I have ever encountered in a video game. Kudos to CDPR
it destroyed me, I was breathless for the whole duration of him walking up to her and standing beside her. I totally broke down when he turned her around and realized that despite all the efforts he made, it just wasn't enough. The way he looked at her, the way he moved, I could relate to everything he did and I just broke down. By the time he was rocking her I was literally chocking in tears. I can't recall crying this hard for something. It utterly broke me.
I was so emotional in the first place but then THAT FLASHBACK and suddenly all the emotions of the books started pouting in as well, Jesus, it was perfect and heartbreaking at the same time.
I had a fucking heart attack no literally I dropped my controller, stood up and was shouting "No!" continuously. I spent more than 90 hours searching for her, like, it's even longer than when they found me after I got lost in the street as a kid. But more importantly, seeing her lay there cold as ice like that, the great Geralt of Rivia who claimed to be stripped of emotions, collapsed on his feet like that, man... This game I tell ya.
Joshua Bemerlick lmao. I cant stop laughing at this comment. This is great. I dont think Ive ever seen a negative comment about the Witcher 3. Thats how you know its special.
I have been gaming for 25 years. Played Deus ex, last of us, journey to name a very few. Nothing comes close to this Emotionally Powerful moment i have experienced in Gaming till date. Kratos killing Zeus, Joel loosing his daugther, killing first dragon in skyrim, ending of journey, limbo ending. This Moment surpasses it all. I am a tough person, sometimes very emotional movies make me cry but never any game. This made me cry every time i watch it. The musical score in incredibly ridiculously good. The setting is perfect. Timing exceptional. I got to this scene after 100 hours into the game. I was shocked to see her. But the relief i got was insane like some divine intervention. This is probably the greatest game i have played. Just ahead of Last of Us.
@@joeylatz9721 THe problem is that this game IS a movie. Gameplay is not good enough. That's why its not THE BEST GAME YOU EVER PLAYED. Its best INTERACTIVE MOVIE you ever watched.
For real, I mean the scene was awesome but it popped in my head, what the hell are they wearing? Haha video game fashion snobs lol. But you right, by that point in the game if you weren't rushing through it just to beat it as quick as possible you should def have some mastercrafted Witcher gear, I mean you are supposed to be legendary even among Witchers, not wearing some ragtag clown looking shiz. I think I opted for Mastercrafted Feline gear because of how it stacked attack and crits but it looked damn nice too, esp on maxxed pc
Best cutscene ever. Holding back tears even after getting best ending possible and knowing that she's happy. It just seems alien without her. This reunion and the background music... Stunning
oryshkat i believe at some point when questing Geralt says he cant shed tears cuz of all the mutations. Not sure how true it is but i remember him saying that.
oryshkat Well reffering to the books (and the polish tv series), Geralt was the only Witcher that they could not remove emotions from, so although they tried they couldn't do it so Geralt still has some emotions unlike other witchers; Geralt can't cry because the mutagens have changed something with their eyes (can't remember what exactly) and the side effect was that they could not cry.
Can we just acknowledge what buttholes those dwarves were? They make him jump through hoops just to meet them, then for all they know he just lost someone super close to him and they almost immediately steal his boat and strand him on a monster filled island rather than wait like 10 minutes
I remember reading somewhere that some journalist/blogger guy claimed Geralt never shows any emotions beyond anger and cynicism. He clearly never got this far. He also must've never even beaten White Orchard (Geralt's obviously shocked and happy to see Yennefer, and there's several later conversations in Vizima immediately following where Geralt can effectively declare parental protectiveness, love, and palpable romantic awkwardness and regret. But that's beside the point).
ISchulz Actually, witchers are trained not to show any emotion, so it's quite normal that Geralt doesn't show off anything except when he feels something really powerful and extreme: like anger, disdain, nostalgia or, in this case, love.
You got bad information. There are other witchers in the book that retain the capacity for love, but they are rare (other witchers in the game aren't supposed to be as colorful as they are). The Trial of Grasses does kill emotions per se (though the books trend this way), but its better to think of it as extreme emotional states. You'll never see a witcher break down and start crying. You'll never see a witcher paralyzed by fear. Being humored or pissed doesn't cause them to be irrational. It's part of what makes them such great killers and so fearsome. Now, as for the White Wolf, his trial of grasses didn't go the same as everyone else's, leaving him with a more intact emotional self (along with bleaching his hair and other pigment things, he was given a lot more mutagens than normal) , capable of what you see and more susceptible to moral dilemmas (the killing monsters trailer, for example, shows well how Geralt differs from other witchers that would have just gotten paid and moved on). Geralt's failure (or aberrant mutation) during the trial of grasses works because, despite how hard he rails against fate (geralt really hates the idea of fate) no other witcher could have formed such a bond to the child of destiny, even though he tried pawning Ciri off more than once when she was a child, after her grandmothers kingdom fell. In the end, this scene was done beautifully for people who have no clue what the law of surprise is and those that know how the law of surprise with Duny and Yurga kept bringing Ciri and Geralt back together.
"A witcher can forget to eat, to drink, to breathe, even, but a witcher never, ever forgets to care for his blade." Most beautiful line in the entire game
I'm still playing and nearing the end, but this cut scene is my favourite by far. Geralt's overwhelmed self as he realises it's really Ciri lying there, his shakes and wobble of grief as he collapses by her side, holding her close and then that scene in the meadow where he comes to find Ciri's younger child self and finally that powerful embrace! So poignant, accompanied by the perfect music
Shika Humoresque i never thought that a game can make me cry..last time i ALMOST cried was Mass effect 3 ending...but with this witcher scene...i f ing cried like if someone of my family died
***** I think the reference is really to his second encounter with her at the merchant's house south of the Yaruga. The achievement you unlock after this bit is called "Something More", the title of that story; the one in Brokilon is called "The Sword of Destiny". Be it as it may, it was a great choice for a truly powerful scene.
+Hanna Michel It would have been more impactful if they didn't show Ciri's dead face immediately. It'd be better if she was shown dead after Geralt rolled her over. I probably would have cared more
cenasux115 I didn't cry because I already watched this scene 😂😂😂and I didn't even play the game when I watched the scene but I've been playing the game for 3 days and I'm in novigrad but I still didn't cry because ik that she was already alive
I never had a father, nor a dad, but this game had such an impact on me. In fact such an impact that i see Geralt as the father i'd like to be. I know it sounds sad, but i want to love my daughter or son just as much as he does, and give them everything the same as Geralt has done. Oh god, i'm in a pool of my own tears. Damn game.
@@alexa.davronov1537 I always come back to this video, it just always emotionally moves me. I balled the first few times; my eyes still get watery after like the 20th viewing.
One whole year. One whole fucking year and i still cry at this. Witcher 3 is hands down the best single player game i've EVER played. Geralt's face at 3:31 could not have been more perfectly done. Well done CDPR, you have gained a life long fan until the day i die.
for those who wonder: the scene starting at 3:33 is the scene in the last short story "Something more" before the main series begins. Reading those last 2 pages is even more tear-producing than this.
@@ScienceDiscoverer Games these days aren't just about gameplay, and you can enjoy them for a number of different reasons, that's what's important, and Witcher 3 gameplay isn't bad in the first place
Very powerful scene, nothing has made me cry harder, I legitly fucking chocked in tears. God damn you CDPR ! Very well executed, all those emotions were perfectly conveyed. His hesitation to enter the hut, his hesitation to turn her around, the face of realization, the reunion with the scene from Sword of Destiny, just fucking amazing. It's no wonder this game has gotten so many prizes they eventually ran out of prizes to give.
I've had this game for years, never came around to playing it. Just got here last night. My mind was blown, couldn't hold the tears in. Most emotional moment I've ever had in gaming.
Just came across this in the game. I knew Ciri wasn't dead but even then when Geralt started rocking her, it perfectly depicted the reaction of a father who is so overcome with the grief of losing his daughter that he is just stunned and wants to hold her and not let death take her... man, I couldn't hold back the tears. And then the callback scene to their first ever interaction... just perfect.
Perfect example of how you don't need words to invoke emotion. Compare this to Darth Vader in Revenge of the SIth's silly "Noooooo!". Nuance and capturing how something would be in real life is key. One of the most memorable best done scenes ever in a game...
Fuck this scene. Especially when Geralt was rocking her back and forth. I can only imagine the words he was saying. The fucking inability to weep. Maybe wishing it was him instead? I'd have killed myself if I found out all I ever cared about died. Doesn't help that I have a crush on Ciri. Would've hanged myself like the Bloody Baron. Sidenote, that was a very intriguing storyline too. Watching the worst ending in the game where Ciri dies because of self doubt and Geralt goes to the Crones to grab Ciri's medallion and pretty much breaks down while being surrounded by all manner of monsters is currently taking an emotional toll on me. Whole day today I've been feeling sad as shit. Couldn't do work. Lack of sleep didn't help either. I fucking HATE and LOVE this game. I should just stick to games with subpar storylines so I don't get all emotionally invested in characters. FUCK me. Fuck you CDPR for making a very very captivating storyline and game!
Jorge Vicente You're lucky... My real ending WAS the one where Ciri and Geralt die... I went back 9 hours to an earlier save and was able to get the one where she becomes a Witcher, but it still haunts me...
saw the worse ending too. didn't affect me much since I've seen something that's on the same level or even far worse than the ending but hell it did made me want to cry.
who is here after finishing the netflix series and comparing the last scene of the series with 3:34 to 3:54 in this video. (Ciri meets Geralt for the first time).
this part maid me cried, and i am a men, very powerful scene,it crushed me when gerald opens the door and ciri was liyng....I was thoughtless to what the dwarves said, the gestures ...incredibile
The most devastating and heart breaking moment I've ever seen in games. The last one which I clearly remember was in Bioshock Infinite ending. Still remember it. Knowing what happened in books makes me feeling this even stronger. Not gonna lie, It's unusual to me to feel such a strong sadness toward fictional characters and crying over them but this time it is a complete exception. The song is called _Wolf And The Swallow_ in the official OST. Just look for it. Crying every time when I listen to it. It invokes so emotional moments of the game and my life. Can't hold tears. Clearly on par with "Go Your Way" trailer.
When I played this bit. I started to cry because this game made me care about the caracters. and the way geralt hugs her :( it was one of the most emotional parts of this game for me this is the best scene In the game :D
One of the most beautiful scenes in this game! Witcher 3 is the first game after The Last of Us that contains those very little and soft details in the characters facial expressions which perfectly describe their fealings to the player. In a way that no words or hysterical crying is needed to make the player sympathize. At least that's how the game appeared to me. Great game!
Not gonna lie, this scene really got to me. The body language and music set up the moment brilliantly with Geralt's grief conveyed without spoken dialogue. The subsequent relief was also well done though not as well as said earlier sequence. More games should have moments where dialogue isn't necessary to convey emotions and this was the scene that finally convinced me to buy Witcher 3.
This scene never fails to make me cry. I’ve read the books seen the gameplay, hexer and both seasons of the Netflix show. The love this man has for his adopted daughter is on a whole other level. Geralt loves Ciri more than anything and anyone in their universe. I just love them both so much.
the flashback to Geralt and Siri in the fields is a reference to the final scene in "The Sword of Destiny" book. This scene was considerably more impactful on my second play-through, after reading the first couple of books.
I managed to hold it together until Geralt picked Ciri up and started to rock her, then I absolutely lost it. He's so stoic usually, that seeing him lose it like that and show so much emotion in such a tender gesture was so heart breaking
Let everyone say everything, it doesnt matter, this is the BEST game ever! Music, narrative, graphics, characters, acters, etc... my god, its absolutely breathtaking ! this is that game, which is worth every penny, every pound for me. Usually i use warez like everyone else, but that project doesnt deserve to download it. it deserve every dollar, euro! im really thankful for CD Project, and Poland, to create this world, and this game!
When Geralt walked through those doors and that soft, quiet music began playing.....I just knew and my heart didn't sink, it plummeted to the deepest depths, and then when he turned her over...god......I felt his pain, I know this is just a game but I felt like I was right there trying to find Ciri with him, every step of the way so when I saw that tears were seeping down my face. But when her spirt re-entered her body and she awoke, greeting Geralt with a tight hug and they both shared a brief vision together showing that she lived again.....well....I don't think I have to say how I reacted to that.
The feels you get with this scene are stronger if you read the books... I'm telling you guys. Every gameplayer should experience read them and experience it as a whole.
+Patryk Rębisz I believe u have already beaten the game. I read the whole saga long time ago and managed to play the game only now. When dwarves said, that she is dead, i felt like rock. I stopped moving and breathing. I thought that they might thought of other woman, that it is not Ciri. But when Geralt opened the door and i saw the legs i just started breaking up inside. Fuck, i didn`t shed a tear because i was in a real shock. When Geralt made it into seeing her face and when i saw his facial expression, all the pain - it resembled me. Geralt was me at that moment. And then that magic light flies in - i strain like a string and shout inside - please, please be Ciris soul! And this light just flies into her and awakens her out of her endless sleep. I almost passed out. My ending was like that. I was cherishing her after first met moment everytime, i knew that i couldn`t lose her again. I overprotected her. I got feeling similar to those which i got when i was reading the book. And in the ending i ORDERED her to stop and not go inside - but she disobeyed. I felt destroyed, when Geralt said to Emhir, that Ciri is dead. I wanted to exit the game and uninstall it. But i made it into the final quest, and when i saw Ciri there, waiting for me, and when i knew that she became a witcher and started to live her life happily - i was shining. It was so unexpected. I am so emotional now that even your small comment made me write all this stuff. This game deserves a book. It is a great ending of the witchers story.
+Megalodon I had the same ending. Honestly I was crying the whole time from the point when Geralt said to Emhyr that she was dead. He tricked Emhyr and us. :P I knew there was one bad ending and almost was about to close and replay the game, because I felt like I completely fucked up. But I continued to see what would happen and there was Ciri. I felt so happy and relieved. It's amazing that a game can do that to you. I hope to be able to read the books someday too.
Probably the best Scene in Gaming history! Can't imagine that something else could top this! What i found still disappointing was the fact that in the book Avallach isn't really so nice to Ciri. No. He was the one who forced her to have a Baby with Auberon. And also he didn't let her go! But well many things aren't like they are in the books so....guess it's okay then!
alsenar2 Actually, she doesn't like him in the books, neither. But after they traveled together, she started to trust him. But when you explored his lab, she probably hated Avallac'h. She just was with him cause she needed him to open the portal to the White Frost
i actually cried when i 1st got to this part in the game cause i thought she was dead :'( & when geralt grabs her in his arms was the most beautiful part of the whole game u could clearly see the pain in his eyes.

Had same reaction and it t still gets me..thx for posting this.
If you have noticed, there were 5 dwarfs leaving the hut + 2 dead....it’s snow white and the seven dwarfs.
@@thanawesa - I did notice! Fantastic Easter eggs in this game.
@@thanawesa And the name of the Sleepy dwarf is the same as in Snow White.
Have to say that Geralt's face at 3:32 is the one frame that totally got me. How far have video games come, when you can express so complex with just one facial expression...Hands down the best scene I have ever encountered in a video game. Kudos to CDPR
lol. no one has seen actual gameplay footage of cyberpunk yet. only a cgi. should have said, it will look amazing
for me it whas when ciri hugged back. but mord than graphics thats the genius storytelling
Tell me about it!
And who would know 2017 someone would release a game called Mass Effect Andromeda =/
and his face after battle of Kaer Morhen, where he saw Vesemir.
CDPR totally didn't spare any expense in face animation
God, same. Every moment in this scene is pure charm but that look from Geralt tipped me over.
woah. the animators for this part did such an impressive job..the music, movement, everything. So emotional
Thank you;)
sentinalchocobo You are welcome :')
wanderer xkr you actually worked on this? mad respect
Reanimathor kudos to you and the rest of the team if you worked on this ^ ^
2:42 God, the way Geralt stands up and steps back destroys me
I feel you.. I almost cried
I can only imagine how powerful this scene must've been for long time fans of the books.
it was crushing I tell ya
Peter Hanson i went into denial mode when i reached this part "the games are not canon anyway ciri can't be dead" *alt-f4*
it destroyed me, I was breathless for the whole duration of him walking up to her and standing beside her.
That flash back is straight out of the books if I'm not mistaken it's the moment at the end of the sword of destiny
I've played this game 4 times thru now, still get watery eyes at this scene
They really done good on this one..if this game was a movie it would of got a Oscar.
@@joeylatz9721 THe problem is that this game IS a movie. Gameplay is not good enough. That's why its not THE BEST GAME YOU EVER PLAYED. Its best INTERACTIVE MOVIE you ever watched.
Dat armor, God why.
makes me puke see people wearing this sh1t were there are epic witcher gears waiting to be crafted :(
That filthy armor ruins the damn scene
That's because they want to rush the game as fast as possible. I payed slow, took my time, Ended up at level 37 with my mastercrafted Ursine Armour.
Colin Harvey Geralt in books wore only leather jacket for max mobility, and they show always trash metal gear on videos :v
Best cutscene ever. Holding back tears even after getting best ending possible and knowing that she's happy. It just seems alien without her. This reunion and the background music... Stunning
+Ciri Witcher 4. Geralt can take the place of Vezemir and Ciri can be the new Geralt.
That would be fucking fantastic with her teleporting powers. A lot of my favourite Witcher moments were her gameplay moments.
would have been better if not for those stupid steel gauntlets and plate armor.
ArbiterDan Yeah
***** If you go on the other vids and find my comment about a possible witcher 4 you will see
2:43 - crying like a baby at this moment.
+Montefires222 the emotion in Geralt's face is heartbreaking, i got choked up
+Fruitwizard after 40 hours into this game and the first emotion Geralt shows is his sorrow. I just can't even.
+Montefires222 Been there Done that.
+Montefires222 * THE TEARS WERE REAL!
+Bera Mora Same. I couldn't control my tears. Then I watch it again on youtube and the tears flowed again.
The scene was so emotional... if we would see Geralt shed a tear here it would have been perfect, I would cry my heart out
oryshkat i believe at some point when questing Geralt says he cant shed tears cuz of all the mutations. Not sure how true it is but i remember him saying that.
I thought So much, but the mutations supposedly keep him from having emotions, yet he can romance women and he truly loves and cares about Ciri.
oryshkat
The lack of emotions thing is a joke.
oryshkat True. I wish Naughty Dog contributed in this scene.
oryshkat Well reffering to the books (and the polish tv series), Geralt was the only Witcher that they could not remove emotions from, so although they tried they couldn't do it so Geralt still has some emotions unlike other witchers; Geralt can't cry because the mutagens have changed something with their eyes (can't remember what exactly) and the side effect was that they could not cry.
Can we just acknowledge what buttholes those dwarves were? They make him jump through hoops just to meet them, then for all they know he just lost someone super close to him and they almost immediately steal his boat and strand him on a monster filled island rather than wait like 10 minutes
at least you have the opportunity to get revenge on them on the epilogue :D.
Blaze Rom wait you can?? How?
You've allowed me to get closure on the last piece of the Witcher 3's ending. Thank you kindly
I would also like to know how.
Adum Larp you can bump into them in Novigrad or Velen and decide their fate.
ISchulz
In scene "battle of kaer morhen" Geral say: "I can´t cry, i don´t know how"
Soo at least thi is how he can´t feel emotion,
ISchulz Actually, witchers are trained not to show any emotion, so it's quite normal that Geralt doesn't show off anything except when he feels something really powerful and extreme: like anger, disdain, nostalgia or, in this case, love.
***** In polish he says it better "I wish I could cry". It gives out even more emotions.
"A witcher can forget to eat, to drink, to breathe, even, but a witcher never, ever forgets to care for his blade."
Most beautiful line in the entire game
Matti2609 which makes Geralt care for Vesemir’s sword after he finds him.
*****
Actually it is a scene when they meet for a second time, at the merchant's home. Their first meeting in Brokilon surely wasn't like this :D
Shika Humoresque i never thought that a game can make me cry..last time i ALMOST cried was Mass effect 3 ending...but with this witcher scene...i f ing cried like if someone of my family died
Shika Humoresque goddamnit...again...
Anybody who says that she/he didn't cry on this scene is a fucking liar. Witcher 3's a fucking masterpiece.
well, I usually skip a lot of the dialogue, don't usually skip this, but one space and the whole scene is gone. Didn't cry tho. Amazing game.
+Hanna Michel It would have been more impactful if they didn't show Ciri's dead face immediately. It'd be better if she was shown dead after Geralt rolled her over. I probably would have cared more
cenasux115 well witcher is unable to cry. Geralt said that himself :)
cenasux115 I didn't cry because I already watched this scene 😂😂😂and I didn't even play the game when I watched the scene but I've been playing the game for 3 days and I'm in novigrad but I still didn't cry because ik that she was already alive
I cried the first time I saw this scene and I've cried in every replay since then. The Witcher 3 is a masterpiece and my favorite game ever.
i bet Gerald was never found it so hard to breath when he walked in, and never was so scared when he turned her back

Really?
Ciri must be the best written female character in many years..total badass and believable
Such a powerful scene, most emotional I've ever seen.
that damn wiggling knife almost killed the moment.
Damn game.

One whole year. One whole fucking year and i still cry at this. Witcher 3 is hands down the best single player game i've EVER played. Geralt's face at 3:31 could not have been more perfectly done. Well done CDPR, you have gained a life long fan until the day i die.
This was a moment when i realized that i still have feelings.
for those who wonder: the scene starting at 3:33 is the scene in the last short story "Something more" before the main series begins. Reading those last 2 pages is even more tear-producing than this.
It's strange to see a video game with such good cinematography
not that strange. Many games made me cry, much more than movies actually. You invest more of your emotions in a game you like maybe
Game does not need cinematography. If you want cinematography go watch movie. Games need gamplay, and TW3's gameplay is lacking.
@@ScienceDiscoverer Games these days aren't just about gameplay, and you can enjoy them for a number of different reasons, that's what's important, and Witcher 3 gameplay isn't bad in the first place
Ciri is the most beautiful woman of The Witcher, besides being sexy only with those green eyes.
J. Fazzoni her tight leather pants are so sexy
assface941 Yes very sexy, the Triss fans that I'm sorry, more Ciri is the most beautiful!
J. Fazzoni who voice actor of ciri ?
Edry Alvyano I unfortunately do not know who it is.
I can't remember the name, but she's also the main protagonist in dragon age 2 if you chose to be female.
FUCK me.
Fuck you CDPR for making a very very captivating storyline and game!
there are multiple endings just try another time and change your ways. try to thelp as much people as you can and the endingwilll be different
Oh, no doubt I know about those.
My actual ending was that Ciri became a Witcher.
But simply watching the worst ending was depressing as shit..
Jorge Vicente You're lucky... My real ending WAS the one where Ciri and Geralt die... I went back 9 hours to an earlier save and was able to get the one where she becomes a Witcher, but it still haunts me...
No worries Dylan.
I watched the horrible ending and i was affected like crazy too.
saw the worse ending too. didn't affect me much since I've seen something that's on the same level or even far worse than the ending but hell it did made me want to cry.
I just finished reading Sword of Destiny. Oh my god, this scene just became 10 times more emotional. Just..No words
The song is "Ciri Welcome".

And legends says withers do not feel. This proves it wrong, at least in Geralt's case.
2:44 that grimace on his face. heart-wrenching since we've known Geralt to be so stoic of a person. such a genius subtle detail added by the devs
The OST in Witcher 3 is just outstanding... especially in this scene! Absolutely perfect and so full of emotion!
Revisiting this scene 6 months after finishing the game. What a game. What art is this. Game of the decade.
I have never shed tears in a game before.....that scene feels like a kick in my manliness. Gotta go and lift some weights
It was such a relief to find her after 40 hours of game play
Idc what anyone says, this is the most beautiful scene in gaming history. Ever.
Ciri is amazing! I was thinking to myself why does she sound like female Hawke from Dragon Age.. They share the same voice actress Jo Wyatt 😀
this part maid me cried, and i am a men, very powerful scene,it crushed me when gerald opens the door and ciri was liyng....I was thoughtless to what the dwarves said, the gestures ...incredibile
Oggy Ren made, cry, man (it's now weird for men to cry), geralt, lying. gesture?
I started to cry because this game made me care about the caracters.
and the way geralt hugs her :( it was one of the most emotional parts of this game for me
this is the best scene In the game :D
Bro I was shocked but after sometime I realised it was one of the best moment of witcher triology❤
I just had to watch this scene again after just witnessing it. I've never cried so hard for a video game character.
This scene never fails to make me cry. I’ve read the books seen the gameplay, hexer and both seasons of the Netflix show. The love this man has for his adopted daughter is on a whole other level. Geralt loves Ciri more than anything and anyone in their universe. I just love them both so much.
Damn you Geralt! You just had to cut the onions.
If you read “ Sword of Destiny” book, you will understand this scene better
24 years old man and i was crying like a bitch.Well good job CDPR
Who's here after watching the netflix series?
the flashback to Geralt and Siri in the fields is a reference to the final scene in "The Sword of Destiny" book. This scene was considerably more impactful on my second play-through, after reading the first couple of books.
1:40 - 4:00 is the reason this is one the best games I have ever played. Strange how it has nothing to do with gameplay or graphics.
Im a big ass grown man but i cried the shit out of me in this part.
Been playing video games for about 17 years and no game has ever made me cry... until now. Holy shit the feels.
Best scene in a game ever...
The same can be said if you get the ending when Siri dye..
A truly amazing game :)
The diversion used by leaving her body without her soul is genius.
AM I THE ONLY ONE WHO CAME HERE AFTER S1 E8 OF THE WITCHER SERIES?
Yeah! 💜
First four minutes of this is the most feelsing thing in the history of video games.
One of the best scenes in gaming history. The 40 hour or so buildup to this moment was so worth it.
Agreed. But it was more like 25 hours with a lil bit of side quests and exploring.
I did every side quest and exploring, got to this at 90+ hours
100+ on first time, 160+ on second :>
this scene should forever be called "Ciri and the 7 dwarves"
i'm here after geralt says "people linked by destiny will always find each other"
The feels you get with this scene are stronger if you read the books...
I knew there was one bad ending and almost was about to close and replay the game, because I felt like I completely fucked up. But I continued to see what would happen and there was Ciri. I felt so happy and relieved. It's amazing that a game can do that to you. I hope to be able to read the books someday too.
This is the scene that made me cry. When she hugged him back, I bawled like a bitch.
She doesn't forget it either.
alsenar2 Actually, she doesn't like him in the books, neither. But after they traveled together, she started to trust him. But when you explored his lab, she probably hated Avallac'h. She just was with him cause she needed him to open the portal to the White Frost
Could have made theflash back that scene from The Sword of Destiny, "You are more than that"
Netflix The Witcher last episode brought me here. Damn now I understood that flashback
Theres only 2 times ive ever actually cried playing a game, this scene the first time and the end of Walking Dead Season 1
i actually cried when i 1st got to this part in the game cause i thought she was dead :'( & when geralt grabs her in his arms was the most beautiful part of the whole game u could clearly see the pain in his eyes.
Playing the game for dozens of hours beforehand made this so much more intense
It's so satisfying to see that moment in the show. Beautifully nailed it.
Last of Us? this was a scene where everybody would cry
Me: Rewatches this masterpiece of a scene.
The Monster in my closet: "don't cry, don't cry, don't c... fuck! "
