One of the most skilled Witchers and one of the most powerful sorceresses living happily ever after in a vineyard. It actually is a pretty beautiful ending
Gosh imagine being a peasant in Toussaint knowing theres a master witcher and his sorceress wife just living their lives domestically in your neighbourhood. Safest region in the whole continent.
And said master witcher is the same one that slayed The Beast and also the tournament's champion as well. So much for peace and quiet since he's a very big celebrity in Tousaint now xD
I honestly thought she was going to say a child... but, i've noticed with Yen, when she hesitates like that, she's holding her true thoughts back, and then says something deflective to distract the other person on what she's really thinking, so.... i wonder if she may have followed my train of thought, but didn't say anything because.... it would've been cruel to remind each other that they cannot and never will be able to bear children.
CDPR played the long game with this particular ending. Everyone’s gripe was always how cold she acted, how she spoke during the game. Yet in this scene, she’s warm. Her tone has changed. There’s traces of actual affection and genuine happiness.
I think because for once in her life she's not trying to do anything. She has no goals, her daughter is safe and alive (hopefully), and she's at peace. There's no politics behind her back, the lodge is not bothering her, she has no reason to toughen up at all. She's finally able to actually relax and read, do things for herself that is truly for herself without some darker undertones. She can be with the man she grew to love so deeply and not project her insecurities and anger onto others. Also acting cold could've been a defence mechanism due to how she was raised and her life up until this point. Since she was a court advisor to Emyhr of all people I doubt she could be sweet and gentle when the man is not. Then there was the Wild Hunt. Looking back at it I can't imagine how much stress she must have felt.
Elise Isle Can’t forget the grudge she likely harbored and probably stills does for a certain former love interest of Geralt’s. I never truly thought Yennefer thought Geralt was using amnesia as an excuse so much as she was pissed at Triss for taking advantage of him (among the other things she’s done). Here? She’s aware fully of his intentions. He made his choice when he helped with the second Djinn. The results further cemented it. This is the one ending I’ve gotten no matter how many times I’ve played through this game 😂
Personally I loved Yennifer’s character development, I honestly thought it to be realistic in someways. Everyone is different and have their own unique personalities. Even though I’ve only Witcher 3 once. I thought it was amazing and I’m replay again on New Game + still having fun with it. Geralt is an incredible protagonist!!! His development goes without saying through the first 2 games. But he is an amazing character. All the characters personalities are different and I like that. It was original, well thought out, and put together by CDPR! To that I say THANK YOU to an amazing gaming experience!!! KEEP IT UP!
She was moody only because she was stressed and agitated trying to get ciri back, i don't understand why triss fans hate her just for actually caring about her daughter lol
I feel like the "Master Witcher, some unknown individual barged into the residence..." line was pretty much made for Yen. I never quite felt that it fit any of the other characters. It's just so her.
What's weird is the same thing happens if you choose Triss. Then you actually wonder who it is because it sounds like Yen, but she threw Geralt in a river...
It fits Ciri even more. And the fact she keeps roaming my place after that. But its a bit sad because I cant have all Geralt's friends visiting him, he has a lot of friends but only one can come.
She says "like a shitty two-crown romance", but we all know she likes this type of things deep inside. The same goes for Geralt, he pretends he hates the unicorn, but deep inside we know he loves it. One question remains for me: What would this scene look like if we were talking about the Yennefer from the last books? You know, the one that is very lovely and sweet and calls him "my love".
Read the books 4 days ago. Now this is all I'm thinking about. I was hoping to wallow in denial thinking the game is cannon continuation of the books despite what Sapkowski says. Game Yen makes it very difficult. It feels like they took her from Blood of Elves.
ssvua I remember when I was on your shoes. I spent the entire 2015 thinking about The Witcher, I just simply couldn't stop thinking about it. Most of the time, I was thinking about my ultimate torture: A Shard of Ice. Personally, I kinda dislike what CDPR did when it comes to Yen, she shouldn't be like the one back in Blood of Elves, she should be like the one in the very end of the books, the sweet, loving and caring one, after all, the games happen after the books. Basically it should be Yennefer there, not her Tissaia De Vries half.
I'm very much wondering when did she finally choose Geralt over Istredd. I'm pretty sure it happened between Shard of Ice and Blood of Elves probably after that Belleteyn they spent together or when she heard rumors of his death. Game Yen I borderline hate. Aside from missing fake-Ciri Game Yen is the biggest plot hole I can think of now. Saga Yen would never wait 2.5 years to find Geralt even if she'd heard about him and Triss. She'd come over and kick their asses then read Geralt's mind and kick Triss's ass some more for using him. I also can't seem to understand why Dandelion didn't refresh Geralt's memory about her since he witnessed the saga's ending so I can't see him having doubts about Geralt-Yen relationships. I couldn't quite get where her calculating side is from (actually counting seconds when Triss gave them a minute) - Tissaia is very nice call. Yen should be mean/difficult know-it-all but not to Geralt nor to close friends. I also don't get where all the comments about her in-game lust for plots and politics are from since she doesn't actually have those in the books. Geralt being surprised when she suggests a house far away when he was the one who dreamt it during their night on Thanedd and she was only reading his mind. God, so many things to rant about... :)
ssvua I've spent days in the CDPR forums talking about that with other users. We came to the conclusion that Yennefer was there to leave Istredd (hence the first kestrel) because it wouldn't make sense to drag Geralt to that city just to leave him, but she was very surprised with Istredds proposal, that made her indecise, because she wanted a relationship like that and Geralt couldn't give it to her. In the end she left both because she realized how selfish she was, and realized she could never love Istredd, because she loves Geralt, but Geralt couldn't give her a steady relationship since he was not mature enough (up until Blood of Elves). About Geralts dream, I really do believe that Yennefer wanted the same thing as Geralt, since Geralt was just thinking about the house , Yennefer was the one who suggested the bagpipes, the garden and all that stuff. Yeah, I agree with you, the game has several flaws when it comes to Yennefer, several, but I wish there was a DLC entirely about spending time with her, I would pay 200 dollars, even more for that, I would give CDPR my first born child if they wanted kkkk
Love how the game developers made sure it wasn't until the final scenes for the player to realize they should have chosen Yen. Triss at the end: "Hey Geralt, Toussaint is nice and all but it's time for you to leave your paradise vineyard in a kingdom that loves you and instead sit around a house in the godforsaken north and freeze your ass off while I'm gone all day playing politics." Yen at the end: "Hey, babe, I'm just gonna hang out here and look hot while you go do your thing and when you get home we can have some playful banter and fuck on the unicorn."
@@aagh8714 No - Triss drags him back into politics, cause she loves it more than him. That's the ending. Geralt wants to go away - triss goes for a while and drags him back. You have to remember - Triss is opportunist that doesn't really care what Geralt wants. I mean she fucked her best friends partner, while he was helpless and with amnesia. Didn't tell him about Yen, didn't tell him he had someone - just jumped on the chance. Great friend right there, unless you are in the way of something she wants..... Triss also wanted to give Ciri to the lodge and would have, if Yen didn't swore that she would gut her..... Yen on the other hand is the cannon for Geralt - she truly loves him for who he is and doesn't feel the need to change him. And just because she doesn't act like damsel that needs him to solve everything - people think she is cold.... Just remember that Yen was ready to die for Geralt - she took his place with the Wild Hunt, so he could survive and if she didn't, he would have been 100% dead. I absolutely love their interactions, the way they are arguing is a game for them - who can come on top with better comeback and both are enjoying it. And when Geralt says he wants to go far away from politics - Yen simply says she will follow. Doesn't put conditions or anything - she simply cares about what he wants as well.
@@cl1cka APPLAUSE thank you I never bought Triss' sweet innocent mask. I read the books. I know that Miss Merigold is just as calculating and cold as any other sorceress, and wanted Geralt mostly for the novelty.
I really like this ending. I appreciate most how it puts all of Yen's actions in the base game in context. She's been pushed to the edge by fighting politics and hunting for Ciri for so long that she barely remembers how to be happy for an hour. She's absolutely ruthless and has no patience for any interruptions or petty concerns along the way because she just doesn't have the emotional energy to deal with it tactfully. Some people call her abusive and... yeah, if that's all their relationship ever was then it would be a bad one. But she also expects Geralt to be the same way, and appreciates it. Like when he kills Ilmerith, she's not angry he didn't let her in on his plan, she's just pleased that Geralt took action, did what he does best, and helped their daughter. She doesn't need to consult with him on every detail. She needs a partner who can be independent when the situation demands it, just like she independently finds solutions to the hundred magical and political challenges that the search for Ciri faces. When she doesn't explain her plans to Geralt, it's not because she's trying to hide things from him or control him, she just needs space to resolve her share of the problems in the way she knows best, just like she gives Geralt space to resolve the problems he knows best. But here, you see her, at last relaxed, free from all that madness and ready to share and enjoy life with Geralt. You also see their typical banter for what it is. She puts down Geralt a lot, but Geralt gives as good as he gets (as long as you choose the dialogue options for it) and that's just how they enjoy eachother's company.
This comment was made about a week ago, on a 4 years old game, and it taught me something new. The amount of small details in this game that add so much is just insane.
@@mattolstein2999 the peak number of concurrent players a couple of weeks after the show came out beat the peak number of concurrent players when the game was released by over 10%
Ya know, at one time I want to try the Triss route, see how the view changes. But then Yen said "Never change Geralt. I beg you" in the most loving and sincere way and I immediately throw that idea in a lake.
20 times i've completed the game, and i've only chose Triss once. Just to see the difference. It was on my 2nd playthrough. Doesn't feel right though, and i quickly went for a NG+ playthrough
Love this ending because of a conversation you can have with Yen in Skellige if Geralt has already defeated Morkvarg before the necromancy quest. She comments that she's afraid Geralt hates the idea of "home", of actually settling down with her. This moment proves that he really is ready for it when given the chance. As settled down as a Witcher could ever be.
I got the biggest grin when Yennefer showed up here. God, I was so happy to see her and to see that she’d be here with Geralt. After everything, these two deserve a rest.
Something about how Geralt is so dressed down without armor or swords and in lighter colors than what you’d normally see him in… feels nice. Like he’s finally retired from the way of the Witcher and can finally relax not have to worry about anything and just enjoy his days with Yen… it’d so, satisfying
Especially since that was always the idea on her end. She says as much before the final battle on Undvik if you romanced her and Geralt presses her on it. Every bit of politics she’s involved herself with has all been for this end goal. To ensure that she, Geralt, and Ciri come out of all this madness with the upper hand.
Originally went with Triss, but always did feel guilty when seein Yen's heart break. Now that I have all the DLC's it's time to play again, and this time make the right choice and go with yen
Mr. mistery damn your willing to play again all those quest and Witcher contracts ? To level up ? Jus to re pick Yen dear god it’s the clear choice for me I just thought triss was the right fit for geralt brings out the funny in him with her wit
Reevo Navarro Herwibowo boi yen in the games is selfish and boring af, acts like his mother more than his girlfriend, I don’t know u bit I don’t want to have muy mother as girlfriend.
This is one of the most beautiful endings i have ever seen in a videogame. Everyone and everythings at peace. The only sad thing about it was that it ended.
Funny, I showed a friend of mine Yennefer and told him a little bit about her and Geralt, he looked at me and said "I never played the games or read the books, but she definetly looks like marriage material to me". He couldn't me more certain :)
This isn't the ending I got, but now that I'm reading the books, I feel like I need to go through the game again and do things differently. Triss was not who Geralt should be with. Before I understood Geralt and Yen's relationship, I was just playing the game like it didn't matter, but now I feel like I've somehow wronged Geralt and Yen by not putting them together as it should have been.
I see it like this I feel like it’s a role playing game. You make your own choices. If CDPR intended us to make “canon” choices, it would be a completely linear scripted game. In which case, whatever. But I’m not the type who fights for affection, likes to argue, and I don’t enjoy constant disrespect. Yennefer seems to be completely incapable of any of that. Regardless of Geralt’s book preferences, it goes against what I want to put him with her. Triss may have done crappy things, but she’s much better to be around.
My only experience with the witcher is the games. Having been through 1 and 2, I thought I would go with Triss for sure. But as soon as I met Yen, I knew immediately that Geralt was meant to be with her. Their interaction and banters are so much more in depth, the experience with Triss up til that point simply pales in comparison. Yen has always been the contours of Geralt's life, while Triss is a mere detour.
The author of the books had his head up his ass. When he licensed his series to CDPR he did it for a lump sum of cash instead of signing a contract for a percentage because he thought video games were a stupid waste (his actual thoughts) Wonder what he was thinking when Witcher 3 ads were all over Poland on buses and billboards, probably kicking himself for screwing himself out of millions
Tbf it doesn't matter if they're not official because they can just be canon in your head, like they are in mine. CDPR's continuation of the books story was perfect imo so i just have it as canon in my own experience with the Witcher universe. Although, i would love for Sapkowski to write another book just to see how the original witcher master envisioned what happened after Lady of the Lake.
I like the robe, as well as the shirt/hunting trousers combo for just walking around the Corvo Bianco grounds, where there are no monsters neither day nor night. I spend most of the endgame in Toussaint, Kaer Morhen and Skellige, the nicest looking landscapes by FAR.
I remember firstly thinking that yen was selfish, self centered and very demanding so I went with Triss, and as time passed I watched myself slowly loving and seeing this endearing mother figure grow on me, while I realized my list of descriptions of her started to check out with a certain redhead instead, who wouldn’t give up politics for Geralt and instead saw him as a nice addition to working on kovir while Yen catch up to him in wherever place they ended up even if it was the end of the world, who saw Ciri like some distant relative that she was sad was in danger but ready to not go after herself when Yen gave away all pride and future in politics and made herself hated Ard Skellig In general, and one who definitely didn’t care about Geralt In the same way Yen did
OMG fuck yeah , or add new missions with those who ever visited Geralt here , like hunt with Ciri , tend to ball with Triss , have sex with Yen on the back of unicorn , rescue Dandilion .... again .
Dusty Yeah. Should be something to do with Yen, i mean you can use your imagination, they did specify in the games that they spend some of it doing lazy strolls, inviting Triss round for stay the night, attenting events, staying up till mid-day. But i would like to play some of these things instead of just thinking it ahaha
Jeremy Hill #Fumbhill #2016-17Champs #Stayturnt After everyone complaining about the Ciri/Yen situation not being as good as it could be you would expect them to have finally in Blood and Wine had a Ciri + Yen + Geralt ending where the 3 of them settle down and you can talk to all 3 of them for a solid 10 minutes together. Atleast they listened to what people wanted and provided that home for Yen :D. I do want more dialogue however, if they can just make it homely and then leave for good i would be 100% fine with that. Talking to her about issues around the house, what should we do today/tomorrow, maybe even a small side quest where you can invite some people around (Triss,Ciri,Dandelion etc) and you can a full dialogue with all of them and then when night time comes you have the option to make love on the unicorn :). Just so there is stuff to do there with yennefer to seem more like a home would be perfect.
My wife is mad. She was trying to make me watch episode 9 of the Witcher... She didnt realize it was only 8 episodes so now she is so into it she wants to complain to Netflix that their rule was supposed to be 10 episodes not 8.... LOL
*Everyone in the comments talking about how Triss is a bad choice and that Yen is the better choice and playing the game again to get this ending.* *Me who went with Yen without the context of the books and games* : heh, morons.
Beat this game over 5 times. Eventually I'm going to finish all the books, play the first game and then come back to this one. All the references and emotions are gonna hit so much harder. I can only imagine how you book fans feel. Currently on Blood of Elves and loving it so far
Triss: Drags Geralt back into politics, despite him hating it Yen: Want to retire just like Geralt and then both live happily ever after So, who's the power-hungry manipulative bitch again?
Fun fact: In this conversation Geralt suggest changing color palette for Yen because black and white is too hot. He suggested off - white and pea green, after this conversation you can go in to corvo bianco to the second floor(guest room) and find a dress with those suggested colors. The attention to details are awesome. PS: Like many others, this is also my favourite ending. DS.
I like to imagine that on some days, Ciri would came to visit from her adventures and these two are just anxiously listening to her stories on the dinner table. Edit: and the fact that there's a fully furnished room upstairs really completes it.
You know a relashionship is something special when there are duels in wordplay involved 😄 Gosh, that's sexy. 😄 Yen and Geralt genuinely have fun together. Personally, I think that both the book and game Yen is the one for Geralt - strong willed, determined, direct woman, she is an equal to Geralt as partner, she knows how to handle him (he's not perfect either), and I doubt he will ever be bored with her - throughout the game she always succeeds in surprising him, be it her words, actions or reactions. She is the one willing to go lengths, which Geralt hesitates to. Also, only a man with a character like Geralts' can keep Yen in check (in a good way), he knows her cold, calculating, sharp demeanour hides a heart ready to die for the ones she loves. And she knows how to love. Also, he knows exactly how to push her, so she opens up and reveals her soft side and affection (the Garden of Freya "I need you. Period" moment). And the push and pull they have makes it much more interesting for Geralt to "conquer" Yennefer. Can't understand the Triss fans, to be honest, she took advantage of Geralt and his amnesia, betrayed Yen as a friend... Such things are just disgusting, and there is no excuse for acting like that. But well, tastes are different, I guess.
"You'll bring me cool drinks at regular intervals" that is a beautiful call back to how they met in the books. Geralt comes to her house and her servant is bringing her juice, and Geralt takes it up to her instead.
I think the best detail to me is the dress in her room. He says "you'll be wearing off white and pea-green dresses" to which we answer that she basically wont. But if you go into her room, you will see the dress :)
Sorry for bothering you after 3 years, man! I bet You probably don't need this answer anymore by now. But, just in case, spoiler ahead. To get Yen ending we'll basically need to man up and reject Triss' romance at all in Novigrad. When you arrived at Skellige, you'll need to romance Yen in a quick time dialogue when Ermion's room is filling up with gas. And then before bringing Uma to Kaer Morhen, don't forget to do Yen's secondary quest called "The Last Wish" or something. In the end, you'll get to fight a Djinn, and Romance Yen. Lastly, after you brought Uma to Kaer Morhen, if I'm not mistaken, the quest is called "No Place Like Home", Vesemir would bring Uma to a mountain top to seek a less invasive method of lifting Uma's curse. That evening, Yennefer and the witchers (Lambert, Eskel, and Geralt) would drink together on a table. After exchanging stories, Yen would ask Geralt for a little chat. Follow her, and you can perhaps say "What did I do this time" or something like that. I forgot what's next, but she would ask you about some Sexy time, and just accept it. And then voila! In the ending scene, the game would tell us that Geralt goes on his life with Yennefer. Also, if you've succeeded to romance Yen, she would then refer herself as "Your Yen" in her letter to you in Toussaint. In my playthrough, I didn't do the "The Last wish" quest on skellige and had to reload half my progress back. Good times.
I just finished my new game + playthrough, during my first time I fucked everybody in sight. I realize now that was a mistake, this just feels...right.
Aside from being amazingly beautiful. I love Yennifer's wit and fiesty strong personality. It's such a part of her charm. It's not for everyone but i think she's really cute when she's being firey. Not that i'd want to piss her off of course.
This is going to sound preachy and self centered, but I am low key obsessed with Yennefer as a character. She's absolutely charming. She reminds me so much of my woman. I can be shrewd and act on impulse at times. She reigns me in just like Yen does to Geralt. Gives me a direction. Every man needs a headstrong woman like Yennefer. A true partner. Someone who surprises you. Showers you with praise, and give you a swift kick in the ass when you need it. Find a Yen fellas
Tyler Johnson yeah, if you want a woman to condescend you and treat you like a dog, thats your own prerogative. My fiancé acts nothing like Yennefer, and if she did we definitely would not be together. You definitely took way too much immediate offense to being called beta, considering you enjoy having a woman give you a “swift kick in the ass”.
You’re best off keeping that to yourself cause too many emasculated men are going to give you shit for expressing yourself. Me on the other hand, I get it..
EdgeOf1996 I'm a fan of bioware and even I would call the majority of bioware romance to be fantasy fulfillments, not real relationships. Nothing wrong with that but there is a difference.
It’s so sad to watch how they enjoying their “home”. I wish they could have live happily ever after in the books too. This ending just broke my heart and i need a therapy immediately.
Nope its stuffed. How did she get it? No clue. When did she get it? No idea Why a unicorn? I don't know Why does she use it as a sex toy? She is kinky How did she get it stuffed? Your guess is as good as mine could've used magic maybe? As far I know there ain't no taxidermist in this world
"While monarchs moved borders and populations, Geralt and Yennefer lived a calm, quiet life far from all things political." "They breakfasted well after noon, more often than not in bed, and passed the days on lazy strolls and long conversations." "Boring, you say? Perhaps. But both had sought this more than anything else."
I read this exactly in old Dandelion’s tone, and the quote in general is just so fitting to this video. You can just tell from these six minutes alone that there’s nowhere else they’d rather be
I have yet to get this ending, it brings a tear to my eye knowing that Geralt truly got his happy ending to his many grueling trials and tribulations to finally recieve his solace and inner peace at his own homestead. It is odd thinking about Geralt becoming a homeowner and devout husband after everything he's been through, however it is honestly truly deserved.
This ending made my soul well up. Yen is just it. The banter they have and word games they play with one another is so romantic. With ciri as their child they both got what they always wanted (especially yen) a family. I love this ending put 100+ hours in with no regrets for this ending. The last wish quest was great too.
Yennifer always felt like proper wife material to me. The type of woman who would drive you insane but, did it because she cared and loved you. Triss, although very charming and pretty was always like a high school sweetheart. Someone who you would fool around and have fun with. But when it came to settling down, she would back out. Seeing this brings a smile to my face.
wish you would come back and say i played this game and add how sweet it felt afterwards, some games i just wanna keep playing for the 1st time again and again. this feeling of experiencing this the 1st time is so precious.
The day the unicorn makes an appearance in the show, I'll probably roll on the ground laughing
Will never happen cause thats a thing from the games and the show will end before the games even start
Bojan RONDRAS yea I thought that the minute I realized the show was going off the books
I will make a show i bet you a million since they used the cinematic from the first game anyways
Depends on how succesfull it gets. If it becomes like GOT, in terms of succes, they might trie and adapt the games when they run out of books
Mr Ladz The unicorn is mentioned in the books, actually. It’s Yen’s favorite sex toy, and Geralt hates it.
THIS is the scene we all wanted to see at the end of the main storyline. Oh man, *sniff*, this is perfect.

One question remains for me: What would this scene look like if we were talking about the Yennefer from the last books? You know, the one that is very lovely and sweet and calls him "my love".
"like a shitty two-crown romance"
That line made this scene for me.
Triss at the end: "Hey Geralt, Toussaint is nice and all but it's time for you to leave your paradise vineyard in a kingdom that loves you and instead sit around a house in the godforsaken north and freeze your ass off while I'm gone all day playing politics."
Yen at the end: "Hey, babe, I'm just gonna hang out here and look hot while you go do your thing and when you get home we can have some playful banter and fuck on the unicorn."
And she begged him to never change. She loves him for what he is, not what she wants him to be or do.
because triss and geralt had been living together in kovir for years in her route lol
@@cl1cka APPLAUSE thank you
I never bought Triss' sweet innocent mask. I read the books. I know that Miss Merigold is just as calculating and cold as any other sorceress, and wanted Geralt mostly for the novelty.
@@cl1cka not to mention yen did die for geralt literally in the books when she tried to save him while trisd stood on the side doing nothing
Wow, this is my new favorite Yennefer take.
Absolutely great summary!

20 times i've completed the game, and i've only chose Triss once. Just to see the difference. It was on my 2nd playthrough.

The look on his face when he realizes it’s Yennifer is simply priceless.
So many witchers have dreamed of dying in their beds. I think Geralt will be the first to actually do it. Love this ending.
That ‘Never change Geralt, I beg you’ always hits ♥️🤧 Yennefer forever
Love this ending because of a conversation you can have with Yen in Skellige if Geralt has already defeated Morkvarg before the necromancy quest. She comments that she's afraid Geralt hates the idea of "home", of actually settling down with her.
This moment proves that he really is ready for it when given the chance. As settled down as a Witcher could ever be.
After reading the first book "The Last Wish", I realize that they are meant to be together and this should be the best ending.
Yen abandoned everything she likes to do to live a quiet life with Geralt if this is not a demonstration of love I do not know what it is
Especially since that was always the idea on her end. She says as much before the final battle on Undvik if you romanced her and Geralt presses her on it. Every bit of politics she’s involved herself with has all been for this end goal. To ensure that she, Geralt, and Ciri come out of all this madness with the upper hand.

“Never change Geralt I beg you” that hit hard in the feels, what a powerful delivery from Yen to say that she loves him the way he his.
She loves him only for what he is like right now. Were he to change, it would have been a different story.
Comparing Geralt's face between Yen's ending and Triss's ending, somehow, his face doesn't smile at all in Triss's ending
Bagus Saeba i Wonder why...

As a person who's barely touched the game but has read books 10+ times, I'm deeply touched by this scene
I love her
Me too ❤
Funny, I showed a friend of mine Yennefer and told him a little bit about her and Geralt, he looked at me and said "I never played the games or read the books, but she definetly looks like marriage material to me". He couldn't me more certain :)
me also really love her very much from the bottom of my heart
This isn't the ending I got, but now that I'm reading the books, I feel like I need to go through the game again and do things differently. Triss was not who Geralt should be with. Before I understood Geralt and Yen's relationship, I was just playing the game like it didn't matter, but now I feel like I've somehow wronged Geralt and Yen by not putting them together as it should have been.
This is the exact argument Witcher fans try and explain to Triss fans who've only played the games and are trying to criticise Yennefer.
Yeah. It's true their relationship is kind of fucked up but still, they are all but made for each other and that love runs deep.
I see it like this I feel like
it’s a role playing game.
Triss and Geralt is not a thing, basically. Sure he fucks everyone he can but he seems to only actually love Yennefer.

Can you blame him though? The Duchess basically like "Oh you need a place to stay while doing the contract right? Here's a free house."
I just finished Lady of the Lake and felt so empty inside. I really wish the games were canon because this ending is much sweeter.
G Louis ah I'm so excited to get there. If I love Yen and Geralt already, will I be happy at the end of Lady of the Lake ???
The author of the books had his head up his ass. When he licensed his series to CDPR he did it for a lump sum of cash instead of signing a contract for a percentage because he thought video games were a stupid waste (his actual thoughts)
Wonder what he was thinking when Witcher 3 ads were all over Poland on buses and billboards, probably kicking himself for screwing himself out of millions
They are
Tbf it doesn't matter if they're not official because they can just be canon in your head, like they are in mine. CDPR's continuation of the books story was perfect imo so i just have it as canon in my own experience with the Witcher universe. Although, i would love for Sapkowski to write another book just to see how the original witcher master envisioned what happened after Lady of the Lake.
Both of them are canon in their own worlds. For me this is the canon ending in the games.
Geralt's attire in this scene is just right. He shouldn't be in armor for this conversation.
I like the robe, as well as the shirt/hunting trousers combo for just walking around the Corvo Bianco grounds, where there are no monsters neither day nor night. I spend most of the endgame in Toussaint, Kaer Morhen and Skellige, the nicest looking landscapes by FAR.
I remember firstly thinking that yen was selfish, self centered and very demanding so I went with Triss, and as time passed I watched myself slowly loving and seeing this endearing mother figure grow on me, while I realized my list of descriptions of her started to check out with a certain redhead instead,
who wouldn’t give up politics for Geralt and instead saw him as a nice addition to working on kovir while Yen catch up to him in wherever place they ended up even if it was the end of the world,
who saw Ciri like some distant relative that she was sad was in danger but ready to not go after herself when Yen gave away all pride and future in politics and made herself hated Ard Skellig In general,
and one who definitely didn’t care about Geralt In the same way Yen did
The BEST love story in any game, ever.
Totally agree!
"Talk again later". Monthly patches with new dialogue :D
Are they really adding new dialogue? Because I'll be really upset if not, if this is truly the end then we need more than 4 things to talk about fr

Even though she is bossy, her devotion to him is one of the best. She literally died for him or with him
"You'll bring me cool drinks at regular intervals" that is a beautiful call back to how they met in the books. Geralt comes to her house and her servant is bringing her juice, and Geralt takes it up to her instead.
This is how you end the story. Ubisoft, EA, Activision! Please, watch carefully!

I honestly believe these two were meant to be.
I just beat Blood and Wine and got the Ciri ending, but I clearly remember romancing Yennefer...
Good times.

Also Geralt: A game of Gwent.. that oughta set me straight.
The best possible ending Geralt could have.
Not really, end up with Ciri is better
If you go in the bedroom or guestroom you will find a off white and pea green dress. So cute.
ah kiss in the end is what's lacking, le final touch
Never played this game but even I can see how sweet this scene is.
wish you would come back and say i played this game and add how sweet it felt afterwards, some games i just wanna keep playing for the 1st time again and again. this feeling of experiencing this the 1st time is so precious.
