    My fav truck on the market!!! I recently picked one up back in August. I'm not a truck guy, but I do haul the occasional thing or two, and I enjoy going camping. It's perfect for me! I also have the 1.5in Truxx leveling kit, but I got the BFG's. Honda reliability, good mpg, and it does everything I need it to!!! Great video btw!

    265/60/18 is a 30.5" dia tire which is what the kit says. I have this kit sitting in my basement from last 5 years. Will be installing it my self tomorrow and I am going with 245/70/17 tires and light weight vision fkow 351 bronze wheels to keep the rotational mass low and 30 offset to get that flush look. Also upgrading the rotors and pads while I am at it to drilled and slotted 3500 grade cast iron to prevent warping which I did twice on OEM rotors.

    I have a 2021 Honda Ridgeline, and love the truck. The one and only thing I MIGHT want to change is going with a little bit larger tire, just for looks and raising the seating height. I have no desires to involve a Level kit and changing out rims. Is there a bit larger tire I could go to without complicating things. How much taller would the ride be if using a Falcon 265/60 18?

    • @503pdxCars
      @503pdxCars  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I'm not sure how much taller the tire is over stock as I have not had the stock tires on the car since day 2 of the purchase; but you can run a 265/60. That is the tire I ran on my stock height Ridgeline for years!

    I just installed the same kit in my '20 RTL...it's doable at home if you use a spring compressor to gain a little more room for putting the lower control arm link back in the knuckle. Also be sure to check under your back carpet for water leaks...the RLs have a water intrusion issue that most people have no idea about...

    265/60/R18 is about 30.5 inch tire nittos being about 30.4 my Hankook dynapros being 30.5 and the falken wildpeak actually being about 30.6 inch :P
    Some people have rub running the 265/60/R18 due to the variation in Width there's just not alot of turning room for the tires with a strut and subframe competing for space
    Fun fact the Sumitomo 255/65/R18 encounters HT will fit despite at nearly 31 inch tire! ( with leveling kits) because the width is just about the same as the oem!

      Is leveling the rear a small amount (.5” or 1”) done mainly to fit the larger tires referenced above? I guess that’s obvious, but wanted to confirm that stock rear height prevents fitting the larger rubber.
