I love that you're not afraid to do these projects. They're always so good. You could and should design your own furniture.

Hi Drew, just a hint for using stain. If you are using a spirit stain (the best kind), carve your wood pieces, then stain, then glue together.
If you glue first, then stain, the wood glue acts as a barrier to the stain and you can get small patches where the stain won’t take.

❤ Leave it to you, Drew, to take us down yet another unique DIY avenue, this time anchored in history. Our ancestors certainly had the right idea of making something useful and/or decorative out of things many people would discard; the original reduce, reuse, repurpose creatives. It's just too bad that current day prices of tramp art "ingredients" still add up when back then they did it with items that were totally free, although even today it is a relatively budget-friendly way to DIY a one-of-a-kind original item :)

My grandpa made popsicle stick boxes while in a TB asylum in the 1920’s that were beautiful . I have one. ONE OF MY FAVORITE POSESSIONS

I was given a piece of tramp art, a standing crucifix, by a lovely friend a decade ago. He passed from cancer 2 years ago. I always liked the art, but now it is all I have of him and I love it dearly.

This was such a creative DIY project. The popsickle lamp would be a great project even for young children.

Drew you are so creative and fearless. I mean from doing small IKEA DIYs to DIY wallpaper in your apartment. Well I started watching a few years ago. I know you started at I think 13. To now diying stuff that looks so expensive and unique and doing ikea DIYs… lol. Room transformations, a while home transformation. Getting all the brand recognition, Homeworthy. I’m so excited to see where you are in 5 or 10 years. I mean nothing you make, even though it’s a first ever looks diy’d! Love watching you grow.

I have a jewelry box made by an ex inmate. It's beautiful. One of the inmates made a 2-2 1/2 ft castle for his 5yo daughter while he was locked up. He gave it to her on a visit. The whole room applauded..it was very beautiful.
