Even if the bricked floor looks dingey to you, to me it looks stunning! It actually gives it more character and lived-in look, perfect for that vintage peg you're aiming for.❤❤❤❤ love all these projects! You are so blessed with so much skills and talents ❤
I agree, these projects are 10/10. Not only are they great for asthetic, but they're also FUNCTIONAL! Keep solving design dillemmas in your house and sharing them on here because they're AMAZING!
I really, really like when creators do follow up videos. A lot of times worrying about whether or not a project will hold up over time stops me, knowing what is still amazing and what is . . . not so amazing is very helpful. I love love love the copper dishwasher, and how it has improved with age.
Gosh! I have I really been following you that long?! I remember your previous apartment and the lovely landlord. Then you bought this home and excitement was running high! You have done well, not forgetting Justin's invaluable help! And I watched every episode! 🙈
Please do some DIY's for cord management and concealment, your movie screen is fabulous and I would love some similar ideas for disguising cables, power cords, chargers, and such. I appreciate how everything you do seems so "real-life" and doable. Thanks! ✨️
The copper dish washer is just unreal! I love it so much! So glad to hear it holds up! And the projector idea is brilliant! Idk how you come up with these creative ideas! SOOOO good! The tile flooring is a 10/10! It's gorgeous and I find any kind of grouting in general to be challenging to keep clean. Thanks for this video! Loved every second!
I love your happy happy face when you pulled out the screen and stood to the side for the 1st time. You are so innovative, talented and humble, it's okay to be proud of yourself! ✌️💜🇨🇦
It's great to see Winston. He's adorable! Thank you for sharing him with us :) ALL the projects are winners and it's good to see they are holding up over time because that is something I always wonder about whenever I see videos of remakes, remodels and DIY's.
These are wonderful DIY’s. Old houses have so many quirks and challenges, but there is nothing like the architecture and cozy feel of a well lived in home.
❤Your copper dishwasher front is one of my all time favorites! I would love to know how many interior designers have copied your idea. It's truly a winner! ❤❤❤
These five DIY projects are still as stunning as the day they were completed. The copper wrapped dishwasher and the Concreta bathroom are my favorites.🥰
I completely agree! I was hard pressed to choose a favorite and I would also add the herringbone pattern with the border in the laundry room to my absolute favorites list!!!♥
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the plastered bathroom! I wish I was brave enough to do this to my front bathroom. It is absolutely beautiful!!! Love the tile in the laundry room too!!! ❤❤❤
Winston is so adorable he always puts a smile on my face. I think I need one like him. Every project is perfect, even the tiles!!! I only view you on the YT channel. 🎉
I love all the projects!! If it were me I would put the frame back on the tv. It looked like it really belong on the easel. You can even put art on the tv when not in use. Love it!!❤
Since he said he didn't want it to stand out so much, he could change it to a wood finish or a subtle color rather than the golden frame. But he said he likes the juxtaposition of the modern & old.
Hi Drew, I have to say, those are all some of my favorite projects you've done. Glad to see everything is looking as good as when you first did it. Love the tile in the kitchen, the copper dishwasher is gorgeous! Winston is SO cute and he got so big! Thanks for sharing!❤
Amazon sells grout pens that I’ve used on my grout in the past to brighten it up. They don’t cost much just takes your time. All your projects are awesome and I love following you!!
I love your voice. Of course i love your videos, your creativity, your perspective it all feels so natural. I love your spirit most of all and how it shows in your vocalized expression. I moved into a house this January so first time i had to hire lawn care. He sounds so much like you, has a beautiful spirit. He played hopscotch with my daughter, always gushes over my thank you cards with every payment. People like you and him are blessings in this world. Thank you for shining your light here on youtube for us all to experience!
I think many things I see on TH-cam I would never try because there's no info on long term use. I'm so glad you did this video to let us know how your projects are used and wearing with use.
I think the frame around the TV was gorgeous and the easel is meant for a canvas!! When it needs to disappear wallah you have a piece of art displayed via the TV. You always do such a fantastic job!!!❤❤❤
Thank you for all the inspiration. I am so enjoying your videos and you are so upbeat and enthusiastic. After decades of working as a bodyworker Usui reiki master doing healing work (specializing in PTSD) I am retiring and embarking on my retirement career - design (the career I didn't do). At this age in life focusing on fiber arts, jewelry, accessories for body and home decor (I have old school couture pattern making and hand sewing skills). So I get an absolute delight with all your DIY projects. Also love your treasures offered in your online store. Mahalo! Thank you!
OMG! I've been looking for a DIY solution for the dated tile in our master bathroom. Thanks for sharing your experience with Concretta. I'm going to try this and report back with results!
I love your cheerful greeting with a genuine smile. I 'm glad to see you're still with this house as a showcase for what you do best. I saw the last apartment very well done.
I’m really impressed with all of these, especially the kitchen flooring and bathroom. I love that you added patina and age to the home, it really makes it feel warm and cozy to me. Pup is ADORABLE, more please!!
I actually like the grout color when it's dingier! The color feels more organic and less neat in those areas, I like how it isn't as bright. The copper dishwasher also looks so good!
Drew: well done in the reporting of the projects. All still look great! There is nothing like a DIY project that is done and you know it’s not going to last. That TV screen project was just super and using that easel for the other TV was super too. FAB! Carol from California
For that movie screen that pulls out of the drawer, have you thought about installing a pretty hanger at the top instead of using the screw? I think you could find something decorate that would look nice when the screen is not in use. Just a thought. Also, I did like the frame around your TV screen in the other room. It was very cool looking. Again, just my thought. I think my fave is the absolutely still-stunning kitchen tile! All these projects are very cool, and have stood the test of time.
I was really wondering how the concretta project would go. It still looks fabulous. All your projects are done with a lot of thought and attention to a quality process, so I’m not surprised you’re so happy about year or two later. Well done! 🤩🤓🤩
I have seen your kitchen on Pinterest not knowing it was yours. I adore the wood and copper and stone finishes you went for. I had no idea the copper front of the washer was a diy. Amazing. Chef's kiss.
Some ideas/tips. You can use Barkeeper's friend on copper, works super well. For the plaster bathroom, it would be super nice if you rounded the bottom edges inside the shower to avoid the hair/dirt from getting stuck in the corners and it would look great with the coved ceiling :)
Thoroughly enjoyed this video, Drew! They’re all amazing projects and I love that they’ve all held up for you. The patina on the dishwasher makes it look even better. Great job!
10/10 Would Do Them All Again!!! I think all your projects look amazing, Drew! To me, the tile flooring in the breakfast room looks wonderful and real! It doesn’t look like a show house that’s never used. I do have one question, though? When you have guests staying in the guest room, does Marie still use her bathroom, or do the guests use it?
I really appreciate this kind of video. It's so nice seeing the honesty and a good look of how well your projects have held up. I still cannot get over how stunning that herringbone tile is! ❤ also I'll forever think that your projector idea is so genius!
@@SRM2025 haha true that! In my opinion it visually unnecessarily clutters the whole room. The combination of the busy filigreeness of the easel and the massive TV. I would use such a beautiful easel rather to display plants and keep something as big as a TV more “stored away”. Anyways! Just for context and explanation, to not be only a hater. Everyone free to like what they like 🙂
Drew...I paint my grout with flat housepaint every few years and it stays and cleans up very nicely. Doesn't peel off or anything because it seeps into the porous grout. Like staining it really.
Love the updates, especially the tile floor! We actually painted our grout lines with a grout paint/sealer and tbh it makes cleaning it a total breeze. It is tedious but definitely a good investment -- and if you pick the right color still keeps that rustic look (our is a very cabin like kitchen, so definitely a different style, but still rustic 😊)
These are definitely some of my favorite DIYs and thank you for reviewing them after use! What a great idea and kudos for how well they have stood the test of time! I’m sure some of that points to your and Justin’s skills as well as your attention to detail but also to the materials used and how you’ve chosen to apply them. Bravo!
every one of these was so great and stood up well to time/use! always loved the copper dishwasher project and it looks so cool with the patina from use. adds a very rustic charm to such a modern utility! loooove the cabinet with the hidden projector screen- genius level honestly. I saw the TV easel project as soon as you put it out and immediately added it to my wish list for a recreation, whether with a TV or a mini version with an iPad would be cute too The tile looks gorgeous, of course, and with the indoor/outdoor natural field to it and how it looks sort of unsealed and raw, it adds a lot of charm to it and definitely has the Spanish feel to it ofc everything looks so lovely and you are truly an inspiration and you seem like such a bright spirit as well ❤❤
Yesss!!! I'm so happy to see that the bathroom walls held up over the tile! I have a little bathroom that desperately needs something water proof to be added to the walls. I've been waiting to see if your project worked! Also want to use your travertine pantry pavers for my kitchen and entryway. Thank you, Drew!!!
Drew! I can't believe you bought this house over 2 years ago, it feels like less than 6 months. You have done so much work and it all looks 10/10 to me. You keep getting better and better with your projects. Moua xx
not the clickbait thumbnail making us all momentarily mourn the copper dishwasher 😭🙏 glad she’s alive and well and still gorg with her new patina ♡
I hate click bait😢
Even if the bricked floor looks dingey to you, to me it looks stunning! It actually gives it more character and lived-in look, perfect for that vintage peg you're aiming for.❤❤❤❤ love all these projects! You are so blessed with so much skills and talents ❤
Exactly!!
I adore that floor!
I agree completely!!
What stone is it?
@@renat4906 It’s brick.
The patina in the copper dishwasher has gotten really beautiful!

Yes, need cord management in my life! Especially in the office.
I’m beside myself thrilled to see that both the dishwasher and the concreta are both still excellent! I want to do both so badly!

The Tile Deserves a 10 out of 10 💦
At least. You combined the different spaces so well with the different patterns 💙

The artist’s easel tv stand……….Perfecto!❤

My favorite DIY you have done has got to be the fluted bookcase. Even before it was trendy, I loved fluted pieces, because I love art deco.

Out of all your DIY projects, I still consider the tv on the easel GENIUS!!! If I owned a tv, you can bet it would be on an easel! ❤
Hi Winston! 👋
SO happy you shared the 'after' of the floor tiling. Beautiful. *GORGEOUS!!!*

The tv on the easel reminds me of the tvs in school that they rolled into classrooms for movie day - in the best way 😍

Roach / palmetto bug! Love how you just ignore it's existence/ My bad was able to stop frame
