Some notes: 1. Choose your starting perks however you like, but the best "flaw" to have is "meek appearance", since all the other flaws are gonna take very heavy tolls on your gameplay 2. You can fast travel, but between big towns only, and you have to unlock it first. 3. Get "Run" and "Career Plans" as soon as possible from the Compendium. 4. 4 most important professions are: Tinkerer (makes materials to repair armor), Cook (manage food, and making food for the first time gives world exp), Blacksmith (to make weapon and armor for use + sale) and Thief (for pick locking) 5. Put attribute points into will until the game stops letting you. 15 Will will allow you to survive killing blow once every fight. Also increase your crit chance. 6. Customize your character specialization however you like, but always have an Infantry (Ranger), especially in late game, in your team. 7. Make torch, they are dangerous and useful. 8. You can respec your character at the Brotherhood training ground. 9. You can capture and make animals (there are wolf, bear, boar, mole rat and their superior variants) your companions. To control the animals you need a Beastmaster (Ranger), but unless the animal is very good, or you have specific weapons for this build, animal is a hindrance at this point. 10. The game is not done yet, so if you can't interact with something now, that might be future content. Don't worry. Have fun. I know I did with this game.

One thing to remember with the starting bonuses is while the EXP increase one is good it does nothing when your maxed. Yes it will take a while to get there but the increase in crit and constitution cant be capped meaning there is no fall off!
I've found that the more I play this game, the better I like it. Especially finding there are some stories in there along with the tactics. No Pulitzer Prize for literature to be sure, but it's not just aimless wandering. The UI could use some work, but, again, nothing that really takes from the fun experience. Highly recommended, and thanks for the vid. And don't forget to customize your pony at the start. 🙂
The reason you can't control your aoe at 24:20 is because you are engaged in melee which forces you to attack head on. Makes 2h a tad annoying in this game

I’d definitely watch some BB Legends content. TBH, I can’t even go back to Vanilla now. Mostly for layered armor, that armor system just makes more sense. Like gambeson for example: in vanilla, it’s an armor that you’ll outgrow pretty fast. But in legends, pretty much every bro will be wearing gambeson under their chain/plate. Question for any BB Legends players though: do you use the Perk Tree Rewrite mod?

Damn, this is the problem, with battle brothers being popular. Now others are emulating their idiotic armor system. Only this game has an even more basic one. It was tolerable for such an arcadey game, but I never liked it even in bb, now I'm getting more of this ignorant crap because people who make games tend to gain all their knowledge from games, not real life. At least bb had armor penetration and also had remaining armor diminish the armor pen damage, way more realistic even in its arcadey state than whatever this autohit crap is. This is just like sci-fi energy shield. Zweihander only having aoe attack option is another trash design decision.

In fact good ones are pretty rare, so every time something that looks promising comes out, and you find that devs have derped it up, that's a disappointment. If good games of this kind were plentiful, I wouldn't care to comment. And your addition to this conversation was completely asinine.
@@raifthemad I can see why it might annoy but on the flip side it adds value to status effects like bleed, burn and poison. I have a poisoner who's ability to stack poison on heavily armoured enemies makes up for his lack of direct damage. Plus in a lot of cases, realistically, someone in heavy armour would be extremely unlikely to be harmed, even slightly, by a lot of weapons. Someone in full plate was basically a walking tank.
@@brynphillips9957 Does this game have high quality, proper full plate? In which case poisoner autohitting and penetrating enough to deliver the payload would be silly as well btw. Todd's Workshop channel has a very interesting series on historically accurate plate, chain armor vs high draw weight longbows.

I wish this game was as good as Battle Brothers or Overhype would release a new game. There is just nothing else like it that I've found to scratch that itch. Any suggestions are appreciated though!
It's different enough to where I don't think that it's fair to say one is a better/worse version of the other. Preference for one style of game vs the other is another thing.
It's BB but focuses more on survival and RPG aspects. BB is more hardcore when it comes to tactical strategy, but it's not like WT is piss easy on expert.

Yeah, I'd certainly consider Legends because I am reaching the end of vanilla content. We'll see though, I'd want to get knowledgeable about it first.
