So glad this video came up! I often carry around what I call a "diary camera," which is usually a 35mm camera loaded with B&W film. I have a bunch of cameras and cycle through them. It's been such a rewarding thing to do, over the years.
That's lovely, David! What film stock are you usually rocking? I couldn't agree more, so incredibly rewarding to be able to look back at everything ❤xx
Your video is a great reminder as to what initially inspired me to capture and document everything I could. I'm lucky enough to have amassed a decent collection of "life-recording devices" spanning old VHS camcorders, 35mm film cameras, and newer mirrorless cameras. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and experiences! 😁🙌
Awh sounds like a great collection! Is there one you tend to gravitate towards, or do you try to log time with all of them? Thanks so much for watching! ❤xx
Honestly this is so true i always try and bring a film camera or my dslr out with me its just a more tangible thing then recording things on your phone...so pleased others know about Heath as well he inspired me to keep going out and getting footage he'd always say "don't forget to bring a camera, I don't care you can film your feet" there's now all these videos that exist of him that mean the world to not only me as a fan but his friends and family that they can enjoy and remember him...great work Oscar you inspire us all!!!
Yeah such a shame about Heath Ledger. Those photos and videos will be so meaningful to his family. Thanks so much for watching Stanley, hope you're getting on well pal xx
I've been using film cameras a lot to document my life but this inspired me to bring out my Sony more often for more than just the business stuff i use it for, thanks for making such a great video!
I think this is a very nice concept, the only thing I disagree on is the phone part. For me, my phone is exactly what you are describing. I find myself capturing more and even be more motivated to when I don't have to chug around something extra. Of course it has more vibe, but my phone is almost always in my pocket, and I really don't like to take something extra with me.
Thanks for your comment, Jan! That's awesome that you capture so much with your phone 🥰 I suppose for me, chugging around that slightly cumbersome extra thing is what constantly reminds me to record what's going on around me. But I envy folks like yourself who don't need that constant reminder! I think maybe I'm just not good at remembering to do things 😂
