He refers to Richie towards the end of the performance. I love how he arranges this on the fly, giving cues to the band. Watch his hand gestures and nods, bringing people in and out. Then there’s his amazing guitar playing and his soulful vocal. See how he also orchestrates the audience. To me this is a pure musical masterclass. I love his hippie vibe and he’s really rocking that shiny blue eyeliner 💜 Shout out to Kip Blackshire on backing vocals too. The whole performance is just phenomenal isn’t it? Great reaction 💜

This song is an old negro spiritual dating back to the days of slavery. Its been covered many times by different artist. This performance was in Spain where at one time him and Mayte had a house. You see and hear a little raw emotion stemming from his childhood experiences. I don't know what dance that was either lol He was like snapping his fingers while backing up his booty and you hear Larry Graham "Watch it, watch it now" Have you figured out when Prince says "Vegas!" 2x near the end?
