I am old and cook like my elders in my family who are long gone. I wonder why you put tomatoes into Nalagiri. And you say the amount you made is for six people. Volume appears good for six people, however the amount of ash gourd you put, there would be about two pieces (rand thaan othaaLk) for one person. I would put three times more of ash gourd. I guess, taste differs
Hello Sheela. Thankyou for your interaction. Nice to read your comment. I have used more of Toor Dal and karamani...halsandae, so used half kg of ash gourd. No hassles, more can be added too. I have added tomato as it's widely used in most homes to make chatamnd which enhances the taste. I agree, tomato is not a must. out of practice I have used it. Would like to connect with you. 😊
