The only reused coaches I don’t mind are gimmie more, don’t cha (Ik it’s a leak) and butter, based on leaks (yes Ik I’ve seen the leaks and I’m ashamed) but there’s a LOT of reused coaches, cure for me, and most of the leaked songs which I won’t spoil should’ve had their own coaches as it ruins the opportunity of the song and map.
I like how theyre reusing the coaches and seeing mothigan again sent me over the moon because i love her. Not to mention i have a feeling she may be related to the main storyline at some point which is why i feel like theyve kept the background of her crypt and personally i love her design as it is and dont mind them not changing it up. Obviously with lore being added theyve got to reuse coaches unless they want to keep producing less in depth storylines and creating something entirely different every year, at least thats how i see it. And considering how big just dance is theres a lot of lore to cover so having a story squished into one year doesnt feel right. Obviously the game isnt released yet so i could be way off but i do really like the direction they seem to be taking with the new jd era
I personally don't mind re used coaches. I suppose since they got rid of the older avatar style they have another excuse to re use coaches. But beside that when it comes to the just dance games my main focus is always on the dances and overall songlist. So far the dances are high quality and the song choices are great! I respect anyone's opinion who disagrees with me sorry for the long comment lol
I 100% agree, I get that they may want to reuse coaches for maps that have some lore with them, like the story mode songs. But the songs that have no absolute lore (my name is, Cure for me, all the Bts songs) have no reason to reuse coaches. And what you said with A Queda, it’s better to have new coaches with new stories and themes. A Queda is a creepy circus themed map that adds more to the characters that are involved with the circus (Dance Monkey, Don’t Stop Me Now, Circus {Britney Spears song}) But whereas those songs were all cheery and bright, A Queda is creepy and unsettling, which is completely different than those other maps.

I counted all the maps and reused coaches and I came up to 32/43 reused coaches. That’s more than half of the game which is a bit ridiculous but my only exceptions are tributes, night swan lore, dont cha any alt kpop maps, rasputin , grace and ari and wasabi extreme, other than that some of the other reused coaches are fine bc it fits the map (e.g kill bill) but all the others were unnecessary.
Since the community became obsessed with lore it just feels like the JDTeam is using it as an excuse to cut corners on coaches AND backgrounds. Ubisoft can produce extremely high quality maps but can’t introduce new coaches or backgrounds? Make it make sense
idgaf abt lore is useless for a literal exercice dancing game. i only like it for the bts coaches. i also kinda miss the cute simple maps the vibe that 2019-2022 had.
I’m glad someone said this, in JD2022 I was cool with Don’t Go Yet and even JD23 with Danger High Voltage but this game has reused too much that these maps don’t even feel special anymore 🫤

Hate to say it, but I think they’re trying to appeal more towards mainstream Just Dance TH-camrs/Streamers….

Remember back when you could call a JD character by their map? Can't do that if they appear in 5 different maps 😂

im ok with story mode ones coming back but i think ubisofts budget got cut so they dont really have a choice
