Hey great video!! Quick question…Has the knuckle padding change for fly X line? I heard it’s more stuff now… and I’m worried because I just order some for sparring
Fly are absolutely beautiful in terms of hand position inside the glove and landing with the punching knuckles! I have had mine for a few weeks and I literally can't stop hitting my bag haha. A few weeks prior, I bought some Adispeed 501s, which had beautiful craftmanship, but the hand positioning inside was absolutely shocking, was almost impossible to land with the punch knuckles, hit the door knocking knuckles sooooooo badly that it hurt. So I am thrilled with my decision to send them back and get some Flys instead! What is the hand positioning like in a pair of Winning? Thinking of getting a pair of those next, but only if they have a good hand positioning like Fly.
@@wingoreviewsboxingandmma3667 I'm so pleased with 'em man. I have also read in afiar few reviews that the X line actually has better hand positioning than the premium line. What do you think about that?
im hesitant to buy gloves from youtube reviews now. i hit so hard on the bag my brain rattles so hard its like i punched myself. I think them of phenom might be my next purchase. how are they after 6 months lachy? @@lachycummings3765
Great video. Appreciate the detailed review. The hand compartment does feel great on the Fly glove. Snug and the knuckles line up as well. One thing I felt about the Fly glove is the padding was quite soft and not much of it in front of the knuckle. Do you think on a heavy bag this would be an issue? With perhaps to the user being able to punch through the soft padding too easily?
I feel like there is enough padding on the knuckles, the Premium Superlace is my top rated glove for Sparring. I wish my Sparring partners owned this glove lbs
no issues for me i own three pairs of fly i have a customized 10 oz and 16oz superlace training gloves, both got no problem hitting bags. both soft filled and not so soft filled bags
I get crazy good pop out of the fly 16oz. Mit work sound like gunshots and I’ve accidentally dropped a few sparring partners off jabs lol I can’t help but ask if they’re okay/say sorry everytime I land a clean shot with these nice compact firm gloves.
Sounds like you have some power in your jab. I find mine to be the perfect balance of padding. But I have noticed through reviews and what other people say that it seems as though the Fly X Line isn't very consistent on the padding density
@ would the glove fit well? I’m 16yr 165cm tall,59 kg. I wouldn’t really say my hands are big or small. I just wanna make sure if I can feel my knuckles hitting the bag well.
At your weight possibly 12 ounce. But typically I would never think of a 12 ounce glove as a sparring glove. Nor should any companies make that claim about a 12 ounce glove. I don't know how I feel about your sparring partner using a 10 ounce Reyes fight glove to spar with. If you and your coaches are comfortable with it go 10.
It´s not weid that some 12oz weigh 14oz. The factories just make huge/frequent mistakes in stiching the right weigh label. If you buy a 12oz that weighs 14oz, it's clearly an label mistake.
I wouldn’t get Cleto’s. I bought 16oz sparring pair at around £250 and they felt heavy and wasn’t a snug fit in the hand. Also, when i weighed them they came in each at 20oz! Ridiculous that company that tout being a reputable company can’t weigh their own gloves properly.
The worse thing is it’s a nice looking glove ! Just feel like they made it 20oz and slapped 16oz label on it. Did you weigh the fly’s are they on point ? Need a new 16oz glove and it’s the fly superloop x or the rival rs100.
@@wingoreviewsboxingandmma3667 I did up buying a pair of Fly’s. Weighed them and they are exactly on point (16oz in my case), brilliant glove and the white and orange colour is so nice I ended up getting the entire matching set from the boots, headboard and groin guard as well.
Cleto reyes is not good anymore!! They use to be the best they change the logo o leather they use , dont last to long the logo start to peel less than one.month .the best reyes 70s to 90s i have a.pairs 16oz mexico logo 1994 goat leather they look still like 1 year old more petty too
I have had mine for 10 years now. Some of the paint/dye has chipped off but they are still doing great other than that. I would have loved to have some those older Reyes gloves you was talking about
These gloves are like the complete opposite of each other, tough to choose between the two. Nice video brother👊🏽
It was like comparing a great pair of steel toe Work Boots to a great pair of ASICS Running shoes. That's best most accurate analogy I can give
Love the video, love the background set up. Keep em coming!
Thanks! Will do!
Hey thanks again! I finally pulled the trigger and bought the FLY Superlace x.
I just bought another pair in 14 ounces for sparring and to compare fairly with the Phenom SG-210s that I have in 14 ounces
just bought a pair of flys a couple of days ago so can't wait for them to rock up
Which pair did you get? The X Line, Superlace or Superloop?
@@wingoreviewsboxingandmma3667 superlace 14oz. Gonna buy a lace and loop to put on it aswell
@@coffeemuncher01 Hi how's the padding are they liked by your sparing partner?
Great video, lots of good information I got to put my vote in for Reyes.
Reyes is always a great choice

The padding b is perfect for sparring you won't have any problems at all
Great video!! Thanks for sharing 👊
No problem 👍
Excellent video! ¡Gran video! gracias por la comparacion ¡Muy informativo!
You're welcome

The hand ergonomics and positioning are great on Winning as well but Fly does that aspect (hand positioning and economics) better than anyone

Fly is like a profile of a punchers glove with the comfort of a pillow glove. Love mine
Yeah they are some of the best gloves you can own
You are so poetic. “SOLD!!”
Got a 16oz pair of FLY on the way now. Can’t wait to train/spar with them
Do you know if Fly give discounts during holidays?
Probably gonna be a Black Friday Sale. But i don't think they will be doing anything for Christmas so you may want to buy whatever a little bit early.

Fly for sure
I am planning to buy a pair of superlace x fly, should I get 16oz so I can use it on the bag as well as sparring?
Yes you should get 16 ounces if you plan on using them for Sparring. That will be just fine for bag and mitt work too.

i'm planning to buy this two
which size do you recommend me to buy of each one im 5'5 128 lb 58kg im not going to use for sparring neither of them
Fly in 14 ounces and Reyes in 12 ounces
I’m 72kg want to use fly gloves for only sparring what oz should I get also do they feel quite heavy on your hands or not
They are balanced and feel very light on your hands, at your size I would go with 16 Ounces
Can I spar with 14 oz fly’s as a 5”8 63kg
At 63k your coach should allow that but ask him first
Should I get 16oz cleto or 16oz fly gloves for sparring
Fly for sure

You would think that but Mexican gloves are notorious for being overweight

The Fly are very close to weight. Can't remember what exactly they were, but I know they were very close to weight

Yes I'm the same size as you are. At least most coaches and gyms should allow that
