Any thoughts about doing a 2023 version of your top 5 sparring, top 5 bag, and top 5 under $100 videos? It's been a couple years and those lists probably look a bit different now.
I'm still shocked that companies that have this premium price are so bad at being on point with the weight. As you mentioned is it that all will be almost 2 oz higher?Or are some on point or even underweight? Just seems silly that at this price point something like that can be off. Similar to cleto Reyes. With all the competition there is out there now they should be able to stay close to the stated weight IMO
I have these in the aqua colorway and the quality of leather is so luxurious, they feel great in sparring as well. Mines were actually on point with weight only about 0.6 ounces overweight.
They smell like Landry detergent or something haha they smell good 👍
The Red and Gold colorway is clean and these are a beautiful looking pair of gloves.

Let’s go!!
Nice review brother have you looked into the brand boxed up out of texas charlos was using a set for his canelo camp let me know if you have heard of it
I have, they look like regular Pakistan gloves
How quick was the shipping and ordering process? Hopefully not a year plus like Winning
which do you prefer, the topboxer win1 or alien ?
I have a pair of Superlace Premium in 12 ounces. I'll have to buy a scale and weigh them. I did before, I think emember mine being close to weight
Yeah hopefully they’re close to weight
About the weight: I have found many brands just make mistakes in the label they stich. This is clearly a 14oz glove with a wrongly striched 12oz label. I have a few pairs that this happaned, from different brands.
For almost $500 you can stitch the entire glove perfectly but forget to stitch on the wrong label? 😂 😂 😂
Hey Carlo, these in 16oz or the winning ms600 lace up for sparring? What about for bag work?
I think 16oz fly for sparring is pretty good bagwork they are about the same but the leather and styles I would have to go with fly
That being said fly has a more snug feel than winning
Do you own both? Would you say Fly or winning are both equally as soft and pillow like? @@determinetothrive
In your opinion what is the best all around glove to buy? I recently purchased the Fairtex bgv9 but might return them for something else
What did you end up going with? I returned my BVG9 only because my thumbs hurt if I didn't hit flush. Found a 20% off code on some Hit n Move All Day Balance and I can't imagine a more perfect glove for me. Well balanced in size, weight, padding and great wrist protection. I got the lace ups with Lace n Loop using the Suavecito method. If there is something better near $200 I can't imagine where it might improve.
@@XtopherMartin I went with the Fairtex BGV9. Its a decent glove for the price. I did not want to spend more than I needed too.
Hey I’m looking for a pair of bag gloves under or at $200 any ideas? Could be from any brand doesn’t matter
Phenom sg 210 seems to be a good bet
Phenom, 1v1 Ark, Boxeo TM
I always compared their leather to luxury car leather. I’d argue best logos in boxing go to Fly, Fialo, and Grant. I didn’t notice the logos on the cuff on the website these look great
Well said!
Very few logos genuinely look good, but flys is excellent
Was curious on my glove weight after this video. My aqua super lace lightning at 16 oz actually came out to 14.88 that’s crazy!
Yeah I thought I was the only one lol
Dang would you recommend getting an 18oz instead?
@@user-np1he9iu9w probably not because his came out overweight, I’d go with 16 they’re personally my favorite glove love the contact on them
Hi Carlo,
I want to order a pair of Fly superlace lightnings. I weigh 176.4 lbs (80kg). Sometimes less when im cutting and im more shredded. This is not my natural weight because i have quite a bit of muscle mass from lifting weights Should i go for 14 or 16 oz for training and sparring? My hand size is average.
16 always
Carlo, do you prefer these over the winning ms600?
No
Thank you
That kind of money. I'm just gonna get a pair of winning gloves
It’s a different feeling imo
I think fly is good for sparring and perhaps hitting mitts
12oz is about the right size I have the 10oz for bag and mitts they are perfect
With winning money… I’m just gonna get a pair of fly instead lol
To each their own
I got x line 16 oz and custom 12oz.
The padding is softer in my 12oz gloves and the hand positioning is so that you land with the wrong knuckles. Just thinking about punching the heavy bag with them gives me nightmares 😬.
The 16 has better fist position and stiffer foam, can’t really complain much about them although I think they offer pretty poor wrist protection.
With the price of the lightning gloves I’d go with Salvador gloves and be happy about the money I saved or try the new Barric boxing gloves around the same price.
What is the difference between superloop and superloop ligthning? Only design?
Yup that’s it
@@csquaredboxing thanks
Hey in your opinion what do you think is better out of the four no boxing no life, fly superlace, cleto reyes training lace up or winning (all 12 oz)
I wouldn’t buy nbnl training gloves at all. Out of the other 3 it’s personal preference they are completely different styles of padding
Carlo are these gloves “top heavy”?
Not really
where does gloves are made?
UK.
A lot of people compare these fly gloves to winning gloves because they are soft, and although this glove is soft and very good for sparring ect it’s not the same as winning, because winning gloves are soft but they are still very protective for both your hands and your sparring partners, fly doesn’t have that. There’s a reason why pros use winning.
👍🏼
👍🏼
I also think the comparison comes from cost, when you start asking people to pay close to or over £1000/dollars for a full sparring gear, you will always get compared to winning.
Personally I would pay the extra couple 100 dollars and buy the winning set.
First
man few word
man u are living in very warm and wet region, it isnt surprise what that gloves became weight to much
