    When it comes to messing with "Mother Nature" it can be a horrible experience if things don't go as natural as a woman having her own womb to carry and naturing the baby. Things can get difficult and since this is a temporary procedure, one has to be careful about considering acquiring a womb like this. Also, the complication of the law, and the stability of the couple intentions if things don't go as expected. Too many options of what could go wrong is for many not ideal.

    People are so smart they are stupid. What about the relationship between the mother and the uterus? There is a neurological connection between a mother and her unborn child. The in utero baby is not just a sack of meat. My wife loved to sing. Often when she would stop the baby would kick my wife to get her to sing again. The emotional relationship between a mother and the man and wife's baby is shared. Babies in the uterus can recognize voices. ... Humans are not lizards.

    This was done before back in 1900's by man called Dr. Martin Couney( He wasn't really a doctor) He built a premature baby unit with incubators for the babies, that was supposed to mimic the mothers womb he had nurses there to attend the needs of the babies, thire was controversy over it because it was on Coney Island where there was amusement park built. This was seen as an exhibition, it did so well prominent doctors who had delivered premature babies entrusted him and his work, apparently he saved 90% of all babies whereas the hospitals where losing 90% of theirs so made sense. The parents of these babies never had to pay healthcare as this was all taken care of with admission fees from the public this paid for the running of a hospital and the care of the babies and he was even able to pay the nurses too...... I would be happy for humanity to have something like this but in a more secluded and healthier place. But I'm telling you now the top 1%ers the way shit is going right now, they definitely won't be happy if their plan is to cull the population of the world 😡

      @@evgeniynagornyak1150 want programme was that because what I heard was it wasn't an experiment, he genuinely wanted to do good and he did, and if wasn't for self reasons either and.... I didn't agree with the location of the premature maternity hospital, that's what I'll call it , if it hadn't been for the location it wouldn't have gained so much controversy, but he proved everyone of those opposed wrong.... And he was credited by well renowned pediatric doctors , and maternity hospitals because he was able to do what they couldn't do , so I think maybe you have your information mixed up, yes I know there have been cruel horrific experiments carried out on humanity, but this story I refer wasn't an experiment, it was a way to save premature babies, so the 90% of premature babies were not surviving in hospitals after birth. Dr. Martin Couney, turn that number on its head and saved exactly the same percentage of premature babies.

Also, put the babies in their own rooms where the parents can come to visit and attach some sort of sound system where the baby's can hear the mom's vitals and the father talking when they're away via Bluetooth. Then it'd be perfect. It sickens me how many premature babies born before the limit aren't taken care of even though they come out alive and fighting.

    I think it could be useful. Just imagine having a biological child of your own without having to be pregnant ! No post-partum depression, no strectch marks, no weight gain, no pain, no low libido, just the joy of having a child. • @FirstnameLastname-hq5rd
      @FirstnameLastname-hq5rd 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Mary Ganser Nope. This is for premature babies, forcing a woman to carry a baby and give birth at 30 weeks is still as fucked up as forcing her to carry it full term. Even if the technology evolves to the point it could safely gestate an embryo from 4 weeks, that should still be a choice. No one should be forced to bring life into the world.

    • @FirstnameLastname-hq5rd
      @FirstnameLastname-hq5rd 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @TheAstrius I'm sure plenty of rich women would prefer to do this than endure all the suffering that comes with pregnancy and birth, if we're talking about artificially growing a child from conception. But yeah I can see why some especially rich men would want a child/an heir but not a wife.
      I don't agree with the last part. Adoption can be just as beautiful as creating a child from scratch. I genuinely don't understand how some people say they couldn't love a baby that wasn't theirs biologically

    I just saw this on the BBC. Initially I got excited about the idea that I could possibly have another baby without having to go through a pregnancy - if they begin to allow this as a service for the general public (ie, freeze your eggs and sperm and use an artificial womb at your convenience). But no one is talking about the consequences of a baby growing in one of these VS inside its mother where it feels the rhythm of her movement and the sound of her voice (as well as the voices of the father and siblings if there were any). And what about the hormones released by the mother in response to her environment and how those might affect (positively and negatively) in the baby in the womb? I think as an alternative to the humidicrib, it's fantastic, but it won't rival a real womb, not like this anyway.

    • @emilymoynihan3963
      @emilymoynihan3963 4 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      I just heard about something similar to this on the radio as well so I looked it up. From what I understand the the idea is to try and save premature babies. The technology, for growing a baby from an embryo to full term, is not there yet. I was thinking the same things as you as far as the implications of a baby growing outside of it’s mother. I think in the case of premature babies that did spend time growing inside it’s mother, this would be a much better alternative to what they do now. I’m not sure how I feel about the idea of people being able to grow their babies in an artificial womb from scratch, it weirds me out a bit.
      On a side note, You have a beautiful voice!

    • @cocosilkworm
      @cocosilkworm 4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@emilymoynihan3963 Oh thanks :) Yes, this kind of technology is a wonderful thing. I jumped ahead of myself and saw where it would lead and saw the convenience of being able to grow your family without having to do the hard miles of pregnancy and birth, but we won't know the consequences of that till it happens. The thought also crossed my mind of how we are playing nature and preventing natural selection from filtering out the weakest, but we already do that anyway with c-sections. I had 3 c-sections so possibly none of my beautiful children would be here if it weren't for medical intervention. I guess you just have to embrace the technology in the end!

    Comment section is just showing human nature. "Oh, finally a way to get rid of [thing/person/group/etc]!"
    But we really should to be talking instead on how this can give couples (whether a man-man, woman-man, or women-woman relasionship) the chance to have a family if medical risks/inability to have kids for whatever reason/and rather not/can't adopt would prevent them from doing so.
    This technology could one day allow rape victims or accidental mother unable to provide a good, mentally and physically healthy home environment another way to seperate themselves from the child without the emotional impact and burden of aborting or having to go through hours-long labor before hearing their baby's cry before giving them up for adoption
    TL,DR: When new technology comes to light, can we please look at what said technology can do for everyone (in this case rape victims and accidental mothers' mental and physical health) versus as a potential weapon against something/someone/anything in general?
