You should like totally enable push notifications so you can see every time I post. You also have the added benefit of whenever your phone buzzes from a notification from me, your friends will ask “Ooooooo, whose texting you?”. And then you can play it off like you’re super cool and popular. If that doesn’t convince you, I don’t know what will.
The problem with the season 16 one is that the original theme was WARZONE (thats why some of them used camo/leader/military type outfits), and after the Israel-Palestine thing they had to reshoot everything. So the video promo was probably going to be more full than what we got.

To be honest, considering that the Russian invasion took place which the United States is actively involved into by sanctioning Russia and supplying Ukraine as well as countless other wars in Africa, the Middle East and even in China, 'war zone' was never an unproblematic theme free from controversy. This was always going to be a yikes.
Ah that makes sense! I was getting some Ninteen Eighty Four vibes with the big brother Ru eyes in the pic and the font used is also reminicent of the Ninteen Eighty Four film that starred John Hurt.

I truly dont understand why the candyland theme/chocolate twist wasnt saved for a "super sweet season 16"...
Season 16 really proved that even with the worst themes in existence you can still pull through and make iconic looks. Dawn, and Nymphia Wind's looks specially look runway worthy to me

Especially after seeing Nymphia’s runthrough of how she made it, bc the actual promo shots feel a little too far back to show the better details, so seeing all of them emphasised just how AMAZING that look really is.

I think the queens of season 6 are in different looks as they didn’t want to ruin their promo looks. The queens in different outfits kind of all have something that gets spilled on them. They may have said no, not in my promo look. Give me another outfit. It’s been discussed on Race Chaser that sometimes the promo video looks aren’t the ones the queens brought.
we didn't get a lot of kooky queens this season and that made me a little sad, but that's just my preferred style of drag. all the queens seem lovely, especially the 50s housewife dragsona girl. they all served
nymphia and mirage seem a bit kooky to me though

the season 9 promo picture was never in rainbow order, those were all fan made. The original color order was all mixed up.
Really? I ALWAYS saw that picture and thought it was original, props to the creator because it makes the promo looks shine even more
IMO, season 15 was the best promo that the show has ever done; every look was so good, and the video was just so visually satisfying i STILL watch it a year later. It was like the peak of drag race; the budget, the theme, the throwback to the roots but doing it all again so much better. I really don't know if we're ever going to get a better promo than it

i respect your opinion on season 13 buuuttt i am also a graphic designer and i am OBSESSED with the typography and animation. while i agree the backgrounds were a bit boring as a brand it was really great and i loved it. the designer made a custom logo for every queen's name based on their vibes and its so so good. also i think that the drag race logo is my favorite version im literally obsessed with the design of this season so even if its not a good drag race promo it IS good branding imo
8:00 bianca talks about it with bob i think not sure but she talked about her promo look and how the pink latex ripped when she wore it so she had a backup that she wore afterward
Justice for S1 promo! they didnt know what they were doing they deserve a bump up. also S1 is where my mom finally remembered to tell me she went into labor at a drag brunch. it's literally the mostqnteresting thing about her and she never mentioned it before that.

It’s funny how you put season 9 and season 15 in perfection. Season 9 was the first season drag race was on VH1 and season 15 was the first season of MTV. Just interesting how both networks clearly wanted to make an impression with the first season they were hosting.

6:01 I think Honey mahogany was supposed to represent Demeter the goddess of crops, grains and agriculture in greek mythology. To clarify your confusion. I have to disagree with season 5 I think the goddess theme was one of the best. I think season 15 was the upgraded version of season 2.

I had a dream that season 16 was announced and there was new judge who was a drag queen. She was like twice the height of Michelle Visage and had a long glorious beard. She got into a fight with one of the contestasts in the first episode, the contestant got sent home and then mid season the judge was arrested becuase the queen had disappeared. The tagline for the season was "even more fabolous than queens".

For some reason, & this may just be me, but maybe the reason they went for a camo/construction vibe in this promo is because they are going into a “reconstruction” era? That’s just an observation given how the audience has perceived the last season. Also makes me think of the comparison people made between All Stars 7 & 8. This season will be heavily compared as well.
I heard Bianca on race chaser say that when they were reviewing season 6 that she was given outfits to wear and a lot of the outfits didn’t fit. Bianca’s vinyl pink outfit I think wouldn’t properly close so that’s why she’s sitting behind her desk in the promo!
