- The mutiny aboard the royal navy frigate HMS Hermione is almost unknown in wider circles yet those dramatic events in 1797 were more savage and brutal than those famously acted out eight years earlier aboard the Bounty.
Whereas William Bligh has been unfairly labeled a tyrant, the same accusation of unfairness can not be said about Captain Hugh Pigot.
