They just need to sell them directly through the website and have customers pay for delivery.
I’d rather pay a few thousand for delivery then have to battle with a dealership and outbid somebody and pay a crazy markup.

@@johncena-hq1ti - it’s the fact they have to give the franchisees an opportunity to sell all of the vehicles their manufacturer produces. It allows for competition. Unfortunately they can ask more than MSRP. Manufacturers”SUGGESTED” Retail Pricing.
I’m not saying it’s right, but no one complained when buying cars or trucks that were discounted up to $20,000 per vehicle. No one offered to pay MSRP **THEN**. 😂😂😂😂😂.
I want, I want, I want,,,,,,,,. Failing to recognize that, especially in the USA, you live in a Capitalist society.
I don’t like the markups over MSRP and have blacklisted all dealerships that have sold for more than MSRP. A friend owns a Ford and now a Stellantis dealership. He refuses to charge more than MSRP because he said MSRP for every vehicle sold is a dream!!! There’s a second acquainted in another city with. They're not even giving loyal Demon owners first preference on buying another Demon, they're basically saying good luck getting in line and paying whatever the dealer mark up is ($100K over), and if you're lucky and willing to pay the $100k over sticker price, we'll give you a matching serial number. Facts we need to accept
Stellantis doesn't care about its consumer base and is only targeting the whales that purchase overpriced high end cars. (They themselves said this w/ more PR speak)
Without the Challenger & Charger Dodge can't exist. It literally has no sizeable other identity or sale base.
Electric vehicles don't currently have a viable consumer base. Those that can afford and like EV's mostly don't want a Dodge. And those that want a Dodge either don't want an EV or mostly cannot afford the price it'll be or infrastructure to keep them charged.
These cars are priced about 40-50% over what they should be and the markups are still going to happen. Because the people that buy these one offs are the folks with more money than sense. And generally aren't actually part of the muscle car enthusiast crowd.

Called the dealer the next morning after the reveal to put my name down for the demon 170. Just got a call back this morning and they said price is starting out $100,000 over msrp. Crazy that people are selling 1970 cudas for 50x the original selling prices. 🙄 Dealerships want a little piece of the pie, this is a once in a lifetime vehicle that doesn’t compare to anything that has ever came from a production line. This is a piece of history, when people paid $3,500 for a Cuda back in 1970 the would have never guessed it would be worth what they are worth today. Now people can pay $200-300k for a Demon 170 a know it will be worth way more than that in 10 years. I’m not a big dealer markup guy but this vehicle deserves a huge dealer markup.

All 3 said they will not make a decision for a few days minimum. CEO is clueless if he thinks anyone will get at MSRP. No one enjoys dealerships. They are the worst part of the car buying experience... Unless you go through Tesla. All manufacturers should copy and paste Teslas business model or risk losing more market share. When us the consumers are more educated then the dealerships about the vehicles they sell...something doesn't add up. The only thing that can prevent the true value of the car from being realized is if Dodge mandates a no-sell/trade clause in order to buy the car. I don't understand why Dodge doesn't just raise the MSRP to what the car is actually worth so they can keep the profits for themselves instead of gifting them to dealers.

The lies I’ve called multiple states and minimum they’re charging 100k over sticker and in Colorado where I stay it’s 150k got a allocation and once they said all of this definitely a no thought there weren’t gonna be outrageous markups

Their " mark up strategy " is complete garbage. I've seen none of these cars allocations being sold for MSRP. the cheapest I've seen is $100,000 Above MSRP.

This is a lie!! Every dealer is marking up the car. I found one today and it was the dealerships last one. They had 4 allocations and sold all for 100,000.00 over sticker

No dealer is asking msrp so how the heck will this building first work? That’s not enough dodge needs to step up and fix this issue and sell directly to consumers

I'm not sure I believe it. Called Hoblit Dodge in Woodland CA. They stated they have 6 allocations- 5 have deposits on them, selling $100k over MSRP.

So basically, he is saying 3,000 is the goal to build. But, "if we only build 1,400, then we only build 1,400" because production stops on December 31st. Thus, if a dealer marks up a new Demon, it may not get built because they don't get priority.

    • @duramaxadventures5832
      @duramaxadventures5832 ปีที่แล้ว +1

here is the issue. dealers are requiring $20-30k TODAY to lock in, oh and that price raises if someone offers more. so if it never gets built, you just gave a 20k interest free loan to teh dealer.

The problem with dealers in America is they are authorized resellers from wholesale to retail. Which means technically they temporarily have unregistered ownership of vehicles therein lays the problem.
