Noah broke the world record by the smallest margin possible, 1 hundredth of a second. The man who's world record he broke is the SAME man who is close to him in the race, Paul Dedewo. It was HIS record Noah Lyles broke in this video. Even though the announcer mentions Wallace Spearman, ignore that comment as he must not have known Dedewo was the at the time world record holder. The track itself in indoor competitions isn't even and flat like outdoor competitions, that's another reason for outdoor records producing slightly faster times along the same distances.
